About: Animals have always been a big part of my life! I grew up with dogs, which taught me the importance of routine, exercise, and lots of love. Now I’m a proud cat owner of two, so I also understand how to care for more independent (but equally lovable!) pets. Whether your pet loves to play or just needs a calm, reassuring presence, I’m happy to meet them where they are and make sure they feel at home. I work full time at UW Madison during regular business hours between 7:30a and 4:30p. I have a flexible schedule where I work from home twice weekly and at work 3 days. I care for your pets and your home as if it were my own. I treat the pets with the upmost love and care, and respect your home and privacy. I play with the pets if they are interested, and leave them be if not interested. Pets have bodily autonomy and I respect that. I’ll clean up a mess if I find one, and I’d let you know immediately if there’s an issue.

Right now I’m in class and volunteering, so I’m on weekdays I am flexible before 9 am and after noon for feeding, walking, and company. Weekends, I am available as needed. When it comes to clients’ homes, my priority is respecting the space. I am meticulous when carrying out directions and care to preserve the trust of pets and clients alike.

Kelly goes above and beyond when she checks in our pets. She obviously cares about what she does and we trust her to take care of our pup in our home. She even helped out with our chickens which I didn't even ask for. She's our go to when we get away from home for a weekend.

He got along well with her dog and came home happy and ready to snuggle. Finley says “4/4 Paws! Would visit again”

I would definitely recommend Georgia as a sitter! My cats were very shy and she made sure to not stress them anymore than they were. I appreciated the care and attention she gave them! I am sure if she spent more time visiting, they would have came out to play with her. One of my cats didn't even hiss at her which is a good sign lol. Thank you so much Georgia!

About: I grew up with adopted dogs and cats in the Midwest! My chore list included pet care from as young as I can remember. My brother and I watched friends and neighbors animals until we both moved out. I love getting to meet new pets and interact with their fun quirks. I love helping people with their pets so I can ensure they have a familiar face and one on one care compared to boarding pets during a stressful time for them. I am comfortable with all pet care. Im a full time flight crew member, so I know my schedule a month in advance and have days off at a time. My schedule is very flexible. I will ensure the clients home is respected like my own. As long as I’m informed on where the supplies and pets favorite toys are I will be set!

About: I grew up around pets and always loved them. All through undergrad and graduate school, I have been a pet sitter and house sitter. Once I was done and could finally get a pet of my own, I got one frenchie… and the other followed just a few short months later. My puppies are my whole world, and they LOVE having new friends! I work full-time from home, and have a fenced backyard! Our house gets lots of natural light which means sunny naps indoors when it’s chilly. I take our pups on at least one long walk a day, and plenty of playtime inside and outside. I have a fenced yard and lots of open space in the home. My two Frenchies LOVE all dogs - for playing and snuggling during the day. I love hanging out on the couch with our pups and relaxing, going for nice walks when weather permits, and lots of play with toys and balls!

Peyton has cared for our dogs on two separate occasions, and we have been extremely happy with her services both times. She is punctual, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We really appreciate the care and attention she gives our dogs, and it’s reassuring to know they’re in such good hands when we’re away. Peyton provides excellent communication and always follows through on what she says she’ll do. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cross Plains choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Cross Plains with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
