“Blanca was amazing - super reliable and responsive! Our cat is usually grumpy, but Blanca is a natural and the cat LOVED her. Great updates and photos with each visit. Will definitely book again!”

“We had to use Jennifer every day this week! So happy we could fit in her schedule!!🥰 As usual, she does an amazing job caring for my babies. Her Rover cards are always so fun to read and the pictures are the best!! Love her💜”

“Ashley is amazing. We’ve been having her visit with our cat Todd for over a year. He is becoming more high maintenance as he ages and now she’s been on puke duty and hasn’t questioned things one bit. She is easy to talk to and always keeps us in the loop. I highly recommend booking with her for any of your pet sitting needs.”

“Amazing duo! So grateful for them watching my pup, they took such good care of her, were super communicative and my dog loved them!! Can’t wait to have them come back”

“I knew Ashley would be the perfect fit to check in on our 19 year old cat, Pumpkin, while we were out of town for 11 days. Ashley quickly responded to my inquiry, is friendly and kind, a great communicator, and flexible. She even took in our garbage cans for us. I know that Pumpkin was well cared for and received lots of attention while we were away. I loved receiving the photos of Pumpkin that Ashley sent. I highly recommend Ashley. She will definitely be my go-to sitter for Pumpkin.”

“Laura communicated well and was able to help us out on a holiday. Our dog seemed to like her. Would definitely recommend her and will likely reach out again in the future.”

“We really appreciated Hannah. She was prompt and professional and showed immense comfort around my 3 dogs who had never been let out by someone they didn't know. I'd use her every time!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life as well! Between family dogs, coworkers' dogs, and dogs I get to pet on the street, I love them all! One day I hope to have a golden retriever of my own! I have a rotating schedule so I’ll have time to feed, walk, and hangout with your dogs mid week or weekend depending on the week! I live in a nice area with nice neighbors and with many places to take your pup for a walk or to a park to play fetch!

“Sarah is the best! Thorough and kind, she always makes sure your pet(s) get their basic needs met, and even some pets and loving along the way. We've booked with her multiple times and has our trust :)”

About: I have taken care of neighbors pets since I was 10 and have always lived with Golden Retrievers. Currently, my family has two 75lb English cream retrievers (3 & 6) who I try to walk everyday when I’m home. I love pets of all sizes and energy levels! I work part time this summer researching at UW. My schedule is very flexible and I have a car to travel with. Reach out to me whenever! I can almost certainly make any time work. I can feed your pets, give medicine, let them out/clean litter, walk them and play with them! Anything needed to keep your pets happy and healthy!
“Hannah was great! She agreed to do 2 meet and greets since we were moving and came in to feed our kitten (16 year old prissy cat) and got her to take all her meds, no problem! Thank you, Hannah!”

“Jennifer was absolutely amazing with our 8 month old lab pup LOVED to hang out with her. She took the best pictures during the visit which was always a joy to look at. She also asked so many great questions to get to know our puppy better and was on time/great at communication with every visit. So grateful for her help💗🌸☺️”

About: Hello, my name is Katy and I would love to care for your dog! I just finished a term with AmeriCorps and now work part-time in the service industry. My flexible schedule means I am free to walk or watch your pup! I understand that caring for your dog means understanding their individual needs. Please don't shy away from telling me your dog's specific needs and quirks. I want to make caring for your dog a great experience for both pet andowner. I bring passion and professionalism to this job and absolutely enjoy what I do. I have had dogs all my life and currently have an elderly chihuahua. Because of his health concerns and age, I'm not currently boarding dogs at my home. However, I would love to walk and sit your pups and can assure they will get attentive and safe care.
About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 16 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, a large Newfoundland, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.
About: I have 10 pets in my current home. I have experience with a very large dog, a puppy, a spunky as well as medically needy cat and other animals. I take pride in good care and prioritizing the animals needs. I take about 2 classes a day but am free anytime in between, before or after! I’m very flexible and can work with you and your pets needs. Animals have feelings and needs, just like humans, and they should be treated with the upmost care. I provide that with every animal I look after.
About: I worked 8 years, almost 9, and The Dog Hut LLC. I've helped care for dogs as young as 2 months and dogs well into their senior years. I'm happy to give medication to any dogs that need it and make sure they get extra cuddles and someone to "talk to". I am also very open to more than just dogs. I worked for 4 years at the Dane County Humane Society caring for Guinee Pigs, rats, and a non venomous snake. I am currently between jobs so any day works well for me. I'm happy to come late morning and well into the night to feed, water, and play with your pets who need that. Or just lend a happy presence, for the cats and cat-like pets who just need a simple hello. At my home I do not have a fully fenced in yard but am within walking distance of a few paths so even if your dog will be on leash they will get a wonderful walk in. Bringing their own toys and comfort items will be needed as I only have a cat currently. Also your dog must be cat friendly or will need to have a kennel brought with them should they be staying. I am okay staying over at my client's place should the need arise, can give medication and will give them all the playtime and snuggle breaks they need. I will be wary of weather changes so I can give them quick breaks outside and make sure they still can get energy out should it be an inside kind of day.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
