“Lindsay took great care of my dog, Taydo. Long walks, snoozes on her couch, and photos to keep me updated. I believe LIndsay to be completely trustworthy which is really important for a pet sitter.”

“This was Henry's second time staying with Michelle and her family, and he had a great time! I really appreciated the updates and pictures throughout his stay. I will definitely book with Michelle again :)”

“My boy stayed with Duane and Lauren and had a great time. They are so kind and communicative with pupdates throughout their stay. I have already recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again!”

“Brad was communicative and provided photo updates right away when requested. He seems to be very knowledgable of dogs and I felt Teddy was well-cared for while our family was away for a weekend. Booking and pricing was also very reasonable!”

“Beatrice did a great job watching over Chopa :) She sent messages and pictures to provide updates during the boarding which was great! I would definitely reach out to her again when we need boarding service again”

“Robert was amazing! Lots of updates, great communication, and not a doubt in my mind that my dog was being taken care of well! I would absolutely let him watch Thor again!”

“Ryan and his family did an amazing job taking care of our dog Tuck! They sent us videos and text messages to keep us informed about how he was doing. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was being so well cared for! We will definitely rebook with Ryan in the future!”

“We had a wonderful experience! This family took excellent care of our mini goldendoodle while we were on vacation—so kind, attentive, and thoughtful. They sent plenty of pictures and updates, which gave us total peace of mind and showed he was happy and having fun. Highly recommend!”

“Kaycee and Robert are the best! They took such good care of our little dog, who has never spent time away from us. They took him on walks, played with him, and kept him warm and safe. Our dog loved Tank (their dog) and the kids. He had a blast with this lovely family. They are kind and warm people who took excellent care of our dog. It is evident that they are expert dog owners who have fostered and trained many dogs. We will definitely book them next time we leave town. We highly recommend them!”

“Erin was a wonderful, empathetic dogsitter! She watched our girl, Zuki, for six days, and she texted us updates and a few photos until we felt reassured that Zuki was adjusting to a new environment well. Our dog is a rescue, and she has some strange behaviors such as being reluctant to drink water in the house (maybe because an alpha dog “claimed” the water dish at the rescue). Erin made sure that Zuki ate enough, drank, and she took her plenty of walks. What’s more, she cuddled Zuki to make her feel more at ease. Erin even ended up sleeping on the couch near Zuki to keep her company. I could tell that Erin was monitoring Zuki’s behavior bc she knew that Zuki has “fears,” and I was glad that Zuki had the opportunity to meet Erin with us present (so that our dog would be more comfortable and know that Erin was a friend). Thank you, Erin, for taking care of our fur baby!”

“Lucy had a great weekend with Jennifer! She got along great with Oscar. Tick season is pretty bad this year and Jennifer made sure to look over Lucy and keep her tick-free!”

“Thanks so much for always taking such great care of Ollie! I truly appreciate knowing he's in good hands, happy and snuggled while I'm away. ❤️”

“Da Yeon was amazing with our 3 month old kitten! I was so nervous leaving our kitten on a family trip since we had just adopted her. I was completely at ease that we picked Da Yeon to take care of her and would book with her in the future! Our kitten was very well cared for , we could tell she was so happy with her weekend visit! We also received photos which was fun to see how our kitten was doing. Would hands down recommend!”

“Ellen was a great host for our sheepdog! Communication was excellent from start to finish. She sent pictures and video so we knew that Lucy was enjoying her time. Big fenced in backyard was a bonus. Highly recommend.”

“Absolutely wonderful!! Zoe and her roommates took such great care of Walter. Zoe was so sweet to send me pictures and kept me updated on how he was doing. She truly treated Walter like her own and I couldn’t be happier. I look forward to using her again in the future!”

“Val and his wife took wonderful care of our dog, Pepper. We were out of town for almost a week and Pepper was in very good hands. Val sends updates and photos, and accommodates the needs of each individual dog he cares for. He made sure Pepper was comfortable, safe, and got the food and exercise she needed. We will definitely have our dog stay with Val again next time we are on a trip.”

“Cub had an amazing time staying with Lee for an extended weekend. We got daily updates and pictures/videos, and Lee has a great fenced in backyard for dogs to run around and play in. He was also very flexible with drop off and pickup times which was extremely convenient.”

“Just picked up Roux from what I fondly refer to as "Camp Cleda". While happy to see me, I think he is always a bit sad to leave his second home. This was a 2 week trip and I always worry a bit. But Cleda continues to be responsive, kind, and Roux loves her. So thankful!”

Ashley and Tyler were so great! They had a great plan on how to make our smaller and more hesitant pup feel comfortable with bigger pups! They were able to keep her safe with her food allergies and were great on sending reassuring updates and great pics of all the pups getting along together! Such a great experience! Our puppy came back happy, well behaved and tired! We would definitely ask for their help again!

Megan, Nick and their 3 daughters were wonderful. My dog Pippa stayed with them for almost 2 weeks, she just became a part of the family. Megan stayed in touch with me during my vacation so that I could see how Pippa was doing. I was so pleased to find them and will be using them again! I highly recommend them.

Looked through many Rover sitter profiles. Found Rachel H. & she was just what I wanted. Other dogs and a fenced yard. My dog had fun with the other dogs & probably forgot all about me! lShe was farther away but it was worth the drive. I would recommend her to others.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
