“First time using Rover. Brad was available for Thanksgiving. Close to home. Flexible on drop off and pick up times. Responsive. Sent pup updates. Had other dogs to play with. Fenced in yard. Easy to work with. Would recommend and use again.”

“Evelyn is such a sweet lady and took wonderful care of my dog. My dog had a wonderful time at her house and became good friends with her dog, Tucker. She sent me picture updates daily which I very much appreciated! Will definitely request her to be sitter next time we go out of town.”

“Mary and her family were absolutely wonderful sitters for Grizzy! They took great care of him during a cold snap, making sure he was warm and comfortable. Mary sent wonderful updates and absolutely adorable pictures, and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Our three dogs had a great night with Allison! She was easy to work with and laid back. Dogs got to chill on the couch, luxury access to special beds and blankets. Thanks for a great stay!”

“My dog Leo had an exceptional stay with Derek and Yoki. I highly recommend booking with them. They kept me informed of how he was doing with updates and photos. I felt at ease on my vacation knowing my boy was doing well and having fun in a new environment. He also had a wonderful yard to play in and socialize with the other dogs. Leo can’t wait for his next visit!”

“Maggie and her family were absolutely wonderful with our dog, Teddy! He stayed with them for almost a week, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Maggie kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Teddy looked so happy and well cared for—we could tell he was having a great time away from home. Their dog, Nova, was also such a sweetheart, and she and Teddy had a great time playing together. We had zero worries while we were gone. We would absolutely recommend Maggie to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter, and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Christine was super with Joey, who is a 9 month old 63 pound puppy. I was concerned about her getting along with other dogs. Christine's knowledge and experience came through and she was able to introduce Joey to new dogs successfully, and all were happy and played together. I received lots of pictures and updates which helped me to relax and have a great vacation. Would I have Christine take care of Joey again, absolutely no question about it, she did a great job.”

“Lindsay was quick to respond to all my messages and made it easy to arrange drop off and pick up. She sent a number of photos of my dog and took her for a number of long walks, just what the dog needs to balance her abundance energy. I would highly recommend her and will use her again.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sarah accommodated our last-minute request to watch our 3-month-old puppy for two days. Rip and Mayla were so friendly and playful when we stopped by for a meet and greet. And Sarah's obvious expertise and calm demeanor made it clear that this was a good fit for us. She was always quick with responses, sent daily updates with several pictures spanning the course of the day, and gave a very thorough rundown of how our puppy did his entire time there when we arrived to pick him up. It was clear that she had his best interests at heart. And any time we need a puppy sitter, she will be the first person we contact. 10/10 Highly recommend.”

“Kaycee and Robert are the best! They took such good care of our little dog, who has never spent time away from us. They took him on walks, played with him, and kept him warm and safe. Our dog loved Tank (their dog) and the kids. He had a blast with this lovely family. They are kind and warm people who took excellent care of our dog. It is evident that they are expert dog owners who have fostered and trained many dogs. We will definitely book them next time we leave town. We highly recommend them!”

“My boy had the BEST time with Manjusha & Midhun! They went above and beyond caring for him - several photo/video updates, walks, treats, and cuddles. They made sure he was comfortable, loved, and spoiled as much as possible during his stay and I truly couldn’t have asked for better care. Zero complaints and highly, highly recommend! ❤️🥰”

“Finny had a blast! I got updates every day and I could see how happy and content he was while I was on vacation. I was very comfortable knowing he was safe and having a great time, and when he got home he was good and tired. Thank you so much! I would be super happy to bring him back and would highly recommend.”

“I can't recommend Stephanie highly enough! She recently watched our dog, Hazel, and she was truly wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we dropped Hazel off, Stephanie provided excellent and frequent updates, including photos and videos, which really put our minds at ease. It was clear that Hazel was having a great time and felt completely comfortable in her care. Stephanie was incredibly reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely treated Hazel like her own family. Hazel came home tired, happy, and clearly well-loved. If you're looking for a trustworthy, loving, and professional sitter on Rover, book Stephanie—we certainly will be booking her again!”

“Great communication for booking, through their stay, and when we needed to adjust our pick up time. We received pictures of our ladies several times, which brightened our day and helped us feel at ease when we were away. They were very attentive to the different food and medication needs our ladies have. We will definitely use them again for future boarding.”

“We love Margaret & so does our pup, she’s at ease whenever she gets to the house and sees her favorite dog sitter. She’s the only Rover we choose and we couldn’t be happier with her excellent care!”

About: Friendly, warm, and welcoming. I have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to roam in my home plus a fenced in backyard. I've had dogs in the home since I was child and have been caring full-time for my dog for 7 years. I have previous experience with in-home boarding for some of my co-workers and have cared for dogs with nervous bladders. I currently work full time, but am always home in the evenings for plenty of playtime and walks. I can be flexible with pick up and drop off times with at least a day's notice to work with your schedule. I have a fenced in yard and plenty of space to roam inside my home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture or in bed if they need some extra cuddle time. I can crate your dogs if needed during the day and my own pup is crate trained for while I'm away.

“Athena seemed to have a wonderful time with Sarah, Wolfgang, and her family! We are so fortunate to have amazing Madison neighbors like Sarah to help us with Athena when we are out of town, and we'll certainly be booking again for future trips.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
