“Ronalisa was amazing with Pepper. She would be great in hosting any dog, and for sure she is skilled at hosting an elderly dog. This one... originally a rescue who may well have been abused, now ~14 years old, deaf, extremely anxious to be left alone, and suspicious of new people... could have been a challenge. Rona took it all in stride, easily handling the regime of medications and food preferences and totally winning Pepper's heart.”

“Emily was great with our big, young and very energetic dog! She has a great fenced in yard and our dog had a blast! He was very tired when he got home! We would definitely use her again!”

“Ann was amazing! We have a pup that has some tricky behavior issues and she handled them like a professional. She was easy to work with and super accommodating. Highly recommend!”

“Tessa did an amazing job watching Rena. She gave the best pup-dates complete with pictures and videos so we had peace of mind knowing our gal was doing ok! Tessa took extra care understanding Rena had some anxiety and gave her love, attention, and - most importantly - lots of walks and outdoor time. We can’t thank Tessa enough!”

“Juan and Gabriel took excellent care of our very fearful Nala. She warmed up to them quickly and took long walks with their pups and ended up having a wonderful time! Nala was so well taken care of and we couldn't be more thrilled that we have found a great place for her to go. We will definitely be calling Juan and Gabriel again! Thanks so much!”

“Our three dogs had a great night with Allison! She was easy to work with and laid back. Dogs got to chill on the couch, luxury access to special beds and blankets. Thanks for a great stay!”

“Cleda was so sweet with our pup, forest. He can be a little anxious at times and Cleda really made an extra effort and allowed him time to warm up to her home and the other dogs slowly and he had a great stay at her house. Cleda kept me in the loop with tons of pictures and videos. I would highly recommend Cleda and I’m sure we will be using her again soon!”

“Our 2 dogs stayed at Sarah's for about a week earlier this month. The stay was great! We got daily updates, including photos and videos. They have a fantastic large fenced in yard where they could safety run and play. They had lots of playtime, but also lots of snuggles and love. They were both clearly enjoying their own vacation at Sarah's while we were gone on ours. It was so refreshing to know they were so well cared for while we were away- we have already rebooked them for our next trip!”

“Neko came home exhausted so he must have had a wonderful time! Judd and Becky were so kind and worked well with us on a last minute request and we will absolutely use them again!”

“Sofi took incredible care of our girl! She was always responsive and sent us frequent updates where I could see how happy Kiwi was. She is very knowledgeable about pet care and I would trust her with Kiwi anytime! Thank you again for giving so much love to Kiwi!!”

“Gen was great with making me feel comfortable leaving Logan - she is clearly super experienced with dogs! She sent pictures and updates during my dog’s stay and was great with communicating. I would highly recommend Gen - my dog came back happy and exhausted from a good time!”
“My two golden retrievers had such a great time! They came back home happy and tired after a fun weekend. Lee did a great job sending photo and video updates and making my babies feel right at home!”

“My cat, George loved his stay here! Bobby (and family) took very good care of him. They sent me daily photos of him lounging around or hanging out with their two cats. The kids gave him lots of attention and he got plenty of time to watch birds from the window. Very pleasant experience for myself and George, I would happily book him with Bobby again!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs through volunteering at animal shelters for over 12 years. I have experience fostering dogs of all ages, and I am Fear Free certified. I don’t have a dog myself yet, so I’ll love and care for your pup as though they are my own! I work full-time, so I am outside of the home 8+ hours on weekdays. I can provide care in the morning before work and in the evening after work, and on weekends. I am available most holidays as well. I make sure to earn the trust of every animal I work with, which includes respecting their boundaries as we are getting to know each other. That being said, I’ll make sure your pet gets the food, exercise, and attention they need to feel safe and happy while you are away.
“Da Yeon and her partner took such great care of my very energetic pup, Cricket, while I was on vacation for over a week. Da Yeon checked in to make sure I was happy with the frequency of updates she was sending, and was super flexible and helpful when I completely botched our return time. There's nothing better than knowing fur babies are in good hands when traveling, and I can't recommend Da Yeon enough - thank you for everything!”

“Margaret was great with our dog, Comet! She sent photos and updates and Comet seemed very happy both in the photos and when we got back. I would highly recommend booking Margaret and we will try and book her again in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
