“Ann was amazing! We have a pup that has some tricky behavior issues and she handled them like a professional. She was easy to work with and super accommodating. Highly recommend!”

“Robert was amazing! Lots of updates, great communication, and not a doubt in my mind that my dog was being taken care of well! I would absolutely let him watch Thor again!”

“Amy was awesome!!! We were so grateful to know that our little dog was in such capable and loving hands while we were on vacation. She was very communicative and provided great updates. We will definitely book with her again!!! Thanks Amy!!! 💕🐾”

“Eunice did a fantastic job caring for our dog Nina while we were on vacation. This is the first time Nina had ever gone to a pet sitter's house. We had always had someone come to our house to care for our dogs when we were traveling. We were looking for a sitter with dogs in their home, as Nina's doggy sister Maple had passed away recently, and Nina has been very lonely without her. Eunice did a great job getting Nina acclimated to her home and then introducing her dogs (the dogs had met outside awhile before for a meet & greet walk). From the updates we got each day, we could tell how happy Nina was to go on walks and take naps with Eunice's dogs and get snuggles from her and her husband. Knowing that Nina was so well cared for put our minds at ease and allowed us to relax on our vacation. When we picked Nina up, she didn't want to leave! That let us know how comfortable she was there. We are so appreciative of Eunice's care for Nina and would absolutely recommend her to others.”

“Jessica was great again. Understood that my dog like to try to escape and kept him safe and his tracking collar charged. I got pictures and updates everyday, I’d use her whenever she’s available!”

“Erik and his family were able to accommodate my last minute overnight dog sitting request. My dogs were so excited to greet their family. They were so kind and welcoming to me as well. They have a lovely fenced yard that my dogs just loved. I will absolutely be using them again.”

“Alexander and Hannah did a great job with Cannoli! They were flexible and understanding and tried to ensure she was as comfortable as possible during her stay. I appreciated that they allowed her to sleep in the bed with them to ease her anxiety about being in a new place.”

“Thanks Jill for everything. Tootsie settled in better than I expected. She found her bed (was the daughter’s bed until Tootsie took over) and took several good naps. She took off for joy rides in the new convertible. I think my biggest fear is that she didn’t want to go home. I hope we take another trip before we leave Wisconsin so Tootsie can go play again. Next time, yall might have to give up the whole bed. Thanks again for taking care of my BWATTT Steven”

“Excellent! I really appreciated all the updates and photos from Stefanie. Great communication and flexible with drop off and pick up times. Will definitely use again in future.”

“Sure! Here's a thoughtful review you can leave for Ryan and Martha: --- Ryan and Martha were absolutely wonderful with Yogi! From the start, their communication was excellent — clear, prompt, and always thoughtful. They made dropoff and pickup incredibly easy and were very flexible with the timing, which we really appreciated. Throughout Yogi’s stay, they sent us regular updates and the sweetest photos that clearly showed how happy and comfortable he was. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. You can tell they genuinely care about animals and treat them like part of the family. We would absolutely trust them with Yogi again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for kind, responsible, and communicative pet sitters.”

“Da Yeon took great care of our cat Olive and made her feel at home. Olive doesn't always get along with other dogs and cats so I love that she had a solo stay with Da Yeon and was able to make herself comfortable quickly! Da Yeon was very responsive and sent lots of pictures :)”

“Ronalisa is very kind. She has a really nice yard for Spunky and Boss to run around. Very responsive. My dogs enjoyed their staycation with her and her fur babies. Spunky and Boss came home tired and happy. Recommend her 10/10.”

“We are so grateful to have found Stephanie to watch our two highly energetic golden girls! She gave them lots of play time, exercise, and snuggles on the couch. She was kind, patient, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend and we would love to bring our dogs back to her 🥰”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care and love Cynthia put in to caring for our Otis. Her daily communications and photos really reassured us on how well Otis was adjusting to staying with her. I would highly recommend her for pet sitting.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oregon
We are so happy with the care that our little Cooper received with Ryan and Krista. The whole family was so welcoming to him. It’s hard to leave our little guy for a couple of days, but we really felt comfortable when we drove away. We received daily pictures and reports on him. We could see that he was relaxed and happy. We will definitely be contacting them in the future so Cooper can visit his new friends again.

Teddy stayed with Maggie and her family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Maggie and her family are incredibly kind and welcoming, and Maggie’s communication was excellent from start to finish. She was also very flexible, which we really appreciated. We always feel confident that Teddy is well loved and well cared for when he stays with them. We will absolutely use Maggie and her family again and highly recommend them to others.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
