“Jennifer has such a big heart and she truly truly loves your fur baby as much as you do. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my pup with bad depression anxiety. She gave me peace of mind knowing that my doggy was in such good hands. I will forever be grateful for Jennifer and could not recommend her enough!!”

“Laura did an amazing job taking care of my two cats while I was on vacation. She kept me updated with photos and great communication, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She’s professional, reliable, and clearly cares about the pets she looks after. I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Brooke was great with our cat, he is not the most friendly but she played with him and took great care him. Our cat gets a pill twice a day and Brooke was great with that. She gave good updates for every visit.”

“Jordan went above and beyond for our dog Murphy. She watched after him like her own when he got sick and always kept us updated. She sent photos and always made sure he was okay. She was also very flexible and willing to help when we needed adjustments in his schedule due to his illness. I would recommend Jordan to anyone and everyone.”

“Stacey is the best cat sitter I've ever used! I had to leave the country for a month, and she took excellent care of my cat. I received several pictures daily and detailed updates, which reassured me he was in good hands. Even during a building fire alarm, she visited him to ensure his safety.”

“Samantha has been so wonderful with my Australian Shepard. She gives amazing updates and always sends multiple picture updates! She is a great and compassionate sitter, Jonee and I appreciate her!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for 4 years and have many dogs my self, small and large. I have taken care of all of them as puppies and now adult dogs. I am currently working part time and going to school. But I’m at home at nights where I can watch your pet. I have a doggy door that your pups can go in and out of freely. I have a fenced in backyard and my puppies love it. I have a very energetic house hold with my dogs and they have toys upon toys.
About: I have had all sorts of pets throughout my life and have a deep love for all animals. Unfortunately my dog cannot go for long walks, so I would love to take your dog out for a stroll! I'm able to travel anywhere in the Madison area and can drop by for walks/feeding after 5 and can do overnight stays any day of the week. I have had multiple anxious dogs in my life and I know being with a new person could also cause some anxiety. I will make things as smooth as possible and adjust for your individual pet's needs.
“Our first time using Rover and we can’t say enough good things about Eric & Christine. They took such good care of our puppy! We are new to the area and we were hesitant to try Rover but Eric & Christine quickly eased our fears with consistent updates & photos. We certainly appreciate all the love & care they provided our young pup! Thanks again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oregon
We were extremely pleased with the care Brooke provided for our small dog. She was competent, caring, and completely trustworthy, giving us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pet’s well-being. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable pet care and would not hesitate to hire her again.

Caleigh is terrific. She has made it easy for us to go away and not have to worry about our cat. She is patient and kind. Our cat has attitude and Caleigh took the time to meet with our cat and allowed her to get to feel comfortable with Caleigh, which was amazing because we have family members who have never been able to get our cat to feel comfortable. At home we call her "Caleigh the cat whisperer". I've already recommended her to all my family and friends who need a cat sitter!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oregon. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
