“Rachel is responsive and reliable and does a great job taking care of our cats. It has been absolutely awesome to find someone we can count on to care for our pets and our home when we’re away.”

“Grace did an amazing job with our kitties, she sent pictures and updates everyday which we really appreciated while out of town. One of our cats who is usually very shy/timid loved Grace immediately! We also had cats who were still being introduced and needed to be kept separate while we were away, Grace made sure to give everyone plenty of attention while keeping them safe in their own spaces. I would absolutely recommend Grace to anyone looking for a cat sitter, and we will definitely consider rebooking with her in the future!”

“Lauren was amazing with my cat! She sent updates and photos each day which made me feel so much better about being away. My fur baby warmed up to her very quickly. I highly recommend!”

“Seán and Leticia regularly dropped in to take care of my cat, Nina. They made sure she always had food and water and kept me updated with pictures. Nina was very comfortable around them, and I’m truly grateful for their help.”

“James was wonderful with our senior kitty Mocha! He showed so much care for her when he met her, and he took care of her special routine needs. He was incredibly timely even on a big holiday. We felt so at ease and we will certainly book again! :)”

“Krista was so wonderful with my Bailey girl. She was so thorough with making sure she knew what Bailey needed and I wanted for their time together. I had no worries with Krista taking care of my dog and will definitely have her back! She’s such a sweetheart with a kind soul and your pets will be drawn to her!”

“Ann was attentive, conscientious, and responsive. She always leaves a detailed report and respond to my feedback right away. She learned the personalities of our 4 cats and was observant of their behaviors. Highly recommended!”

“Mandy truly took wonderful care of our cats, Meeko and Princess! I really appreciate all the lovely comments after each visit, and I loved receiving the photos—they made me smile! I wholeheartedly recommend Mandy as a cat sitter, and I will definitely be asking her again to look after our furry friends. 🐈🐈🤗”

“Thank you for being such a strong stable force for our boys while we're away. I miss them terribly but I know they are in good hands. Can't wait to see them tonight!”

“Austin is a dream walker! I got about 20 adorable pictures a day, all wallpaper and insta worthy ? He looked after my boisterous boy with enthusiasm, care and diligence. I cannot wait to plan my next vacation only so that newton and Austin can have more time together! ❤️ thank you so much, Austin!”

“Laura was such an amazing cat sitter for my two kitties! I reached out super last minute and Laura was so understanding and accommodating to our needs. Laura communicated beautifully and I felt super comfortable leaving my kitties in her care. I will definitely be booking with Laura again!! :)”

About: I cared for many pets throughout my childhood and have adopted, loved and cared for 2 dogs of my own. I’m a mom of 3– two boys and our pup Arabella , a street rescue; so sweet and full of energy! I’m also a professional photographer and I’m happy to take a few great photos of your dog while walking or caring for them (for no extra charge). I will show up with my full attention for your beautiful dog or cat—patient, loving and reliable. I am a professional photographer with a very flexible schedule which allows me to care for my own dog and have time to care for others as well. I care for my dog by getting her a couple walks a day and going to the off leash dog park often. We also love to get on trials and hike. She goes most places with me and gets tons of attention. I am aware of her needs and will be of your pets as well. I understand pets can take patience and mostly lots of love.
“Jess was sincere, flexible, and very accomodating to my variable travel plans and respective changes to our scheduling to watch my boy. I would recommend her as a trusting sitter and would be thankful to utilize her care and services in the future.”

“Kira was ready to jump in and help us with our new puppy and was very flexible. She sent frequent check ins with photos letting us know our dogs were having a blast and were well cared for. We really appreciate her positive attitude and willingness to take good care of our dogs. 🐩🐕🦺”

“Carlee was very communicative and flexible which in our crazy household I greatly appreciated! Our pup Trudy loved her. To our surprise, even our cat, who is skittish and doesn’t like strangers, warmed up to her immediately!”

“Natalie was perfect, she took care of my fur baby as I needed her to. I highly recommended her if you need someone to care for your furry kiddo that you can trust, and know will treat them with love! I’ll choose her again with no second thoughts!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Verona
Grace was super helpful when we needed a short notice stay with our very old dog who we don’t feel comfortable leaving alone for very long. Communication was awesome and she took care of all of his needs. We would definitely reach out to Grace again to help us out!
Fantastic working with Julia as always. She was able to take our booking at the very last minute and cheerfully swung by every day as scheduled. Her daily photos were great and our cats (when they come out lol) respond well to her gentle and consistent presence. Will definitely hire again!!

It was a wonderful experience having Laura look after my cat Oliver again. She’s watched him before, so it was really nice knowing he was with someone familiar. She was kind, easy to work with, and very communicative while I was away, as always. I loved the thoughtful photos and messages she sent, and Oliver clearly loved her too!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
