“Jennifer was absolutely amazing with our 8 month old lab pup LOVED to hang out with her. She took the best pictures during the visit which was always a joy to look at. She also asked so many great questions to get to know our puppy better and was on time/great at communication with every visit. So grateful for her help💗🌸☺️”

“Sydney signed up for what should have been a straightforward series of drop ins that ended up asking a lot of her when my kitten got sick the day before my trip. Sydney had to administer multiple medications and eye ointment as well as follow my usual feeding instructions. She did great and even covered an extra couple days when I had to immediately leave again to attend an unexpected funeral. Highly recommend!”

“We had a wonderful experience and felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in such great hands. Communication was excellent, and it was clear our pups were well cared for and loved. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend Maggie!”

About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 16 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, a large Newfoundland, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.
“We had Kate do several drop in visits while we were out of town. She was very responsive, took great care of our 2 cats, and even brought some Christmas treats for them after confirming they were allowed to have them. We would definitely book with Kate in the future!”

“We were extremely pleased with the care Brooke provided for our small dog. She was competent, caring, and completely trustworthy, giving us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pet’s well-being. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable pet care and would not hesitate to hire her again.”

“Allison is an incredible pet sitter. I was very nervous to leave my babies for a few days, and they helped me feel at ease. Very communicative, and I really appreciated all the photos. Thank you!”

“Tatyana was great with our cat Charles, and went above and beyond by also helping us with our box turtles. She provided daily updates and photos and really put our mind at ease while we were away! Would absolutely love her help for future trips!”

“Hailey was so great! Took such great care of my cat while I was away, couldn’t ask for better help. Very responsive and flexible with schedule that needed changing a few times. She sent pictures every drop-in and kept me updated! Definitely recommend Hailey to watch after your pets also.”

“Sara has been an absolutely incredible dog nanny, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! She is an amazing communicator—always keeping me in the loop with thoughtful updates, detailed report cards, and the most fantastic pictures of my pups that truly brighten my day. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs. She takes them on multiple walks each day, makes sure they’re comfortable and well cared for, and really takes the time to understand their personalities and needs. Sara consistently goes the extra mile, and it gives me such peace of mind knowing my dogs are in her care. If you’re looking for someone reliable, attentive, and truly wonderful with animals, Sara is the best of the best!”

“Hillary did an awesome job checking in on my cats while we were away for a few days. They are both very shy, but she got them to come out the first day she fed them!”

About: I've always grown up living around pets and animals of any kind, grew up with farm animals and household pets, lots of experience with both large and small dogs, and plenty of experience with cats. I currently have 3 cats at my home, and I love spending time with dogs as well. I've worked with both young and old cats and dogs as well! I also have experience with disabled pets (one of my dogs was a rescue that lost a leg in an accident). My partner works full time as a manager at a local pizza place in Stoughton, so they might come and go a bit for work, but I work from home and am able to stay in the home with your animals when and as needed. I work from home as a digital artist, so my schedule is completely open and flexible, and I can fit in pet care at any time that might be needed. I am very open to working around any specific care needs your fur family might need, and can work around your wants and needs for your pets care in and out of your home!
“Blanca was amazing - super reliable and responsive! Our cat is usually grumpy, but Blanca is a natural and the cat LOVED her. Great updates and photos with each visit. Will definitely book again!”

“Ben provided excellent care for our dog and cat while we were on vacation for a week! He did 3 drop-in visits a day, arrived on time, and provided pics and videos. THEN, when our flight was delayed and we were stuck for two additional days, he covered those visits as well, which was amazing as we were already under a ton of stress due to the delay. We will definitely book Ben again and highly recommend.”

“Shatoria was absolutely awesome! She stopped in to check on my cat Olivine while my roommate and I were away for the weekend. During our initial visit, Shatoria asked a ton of questions about Olivine and her routine, some that I hadn’t even thought to bring up, which was great. During the actual visit, she passed along lots of photos of Olivine with her update. She also took a photo of her automatic feeder so I could see how Olivine had been eating, which I appreciated. I had never hired a pet sitter before, so that came with some anxiety, but Shatoria made me confident that I was leaving Olivine in great hands! I definitely know who to come to if we ever need any more help with Olivine in the future.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
