About: I have 2 dogs of my own. Also I have experience with older dogs and puppies. I love all animals! I'm not scared of much either! I currently work part time. So I'm pretty open. Tuesdays and every other Sunday I'm available afternoon. That could potentially change if more work comes in. While we don't have any pets of our own right now our most recent best friend was a rescue Maltipoo who required special care and I truly adored taking care of her. Although I have little "formal" dog care experience, I have interacted with dogs with many different personalities. I'm definitely not afraid to have to throw a chuck-it for an entire visit or walk a couple miles. The black lab I have sitted for in the past is very treat motivated for walks and needs to be convinced to go in the right direction. I will be writing my Master's thesis this summer, so I am extremely flexible with when I'll be able to visit and go for walks! This is a way to have some fun with dogs and take a break from reading literature and writing lots of pages! When completing visits and picking up for walks, I will make sure that I am on time and I enter the residence calmly and slowly, especially for the first time! When in your home, I will only use what you ask me to, and not go in any rooms not approved. I'm there to play with your pup, not have a tour - it's your personal space. If your dog is crated, I will make sure that they return to the crate before leaving. I will make sure to double check that doors are properly locked again before leaving. For walks, I'll go whatever route your pup is most used to. I know switching it up isn't ideal for some dogs - my dog, Chloe has only one route she will walk in our neighborhood. I'll let your dogs set the pace, and sniff all the smells! That's how pups see the world! I'm not afraid to walk in rain, but of course, storms are a no-go. I'll make sure that I have a water bowl and bottle for your pup, especially as it gets warm this summer.
