“Estrella loved going to Sarah's house! She always has a fun time playing with Sarah's dogs and she met a new friend in the regular daycare dog they host. We got lots of adorable pictures and videos and Estrella came home tired and happy!”

About: A life-long animal lover, I grew up training our large family dogs in agility and obedience in 4-H (with the ribbons to prove it). As a child and teenager, I had a corner on the pet sitting market in my neighborhood. More recently, I've cared for friends' dogs and cats for up to a week at a time. I'm a trained foster with the Dane County Humane Society and have taken in multiple sets of kittens, some with medication needs. I'm a hybrid worker with a flexible schedule. Apartment living means I can't have a dog or cat of my own, but I've been missing having them around and would love to give yours some love. I'm a hybrid worker, which means I can flex my time based on your pet's needs — and even work from your home, if they need some extra quality time. I'm happy to check in with you regularly about your pets and send photos of us playing and spending time together! Please let me know if they have beef with other animals/people in the neighborhood or sensitivities like resource guarding, etc. For safety, I would prefer not to take them to a dog park unless they are extremely good with other dogs.
About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. My family growing up never had less than 3 pets at a time so I've grown up loving and rescuing animals including taking care of outdoor feral cats, stray dogs, etc. I currently have two cats of my own and hope to have more in the future at the very least by fostering :) Besides when working my 9/5 or rover I spend most of my free time with my cats. I also keep a cat crate and food in my car in case I ever see any stray cats and I have a humane trap at home. I have raised puppies and kittens from 2 months old and have had elderly pets that have lived to be 19 years old so I have experience with lots of pets of different ages, breeds, and personality types. I've taken care of upwards of 7 cats all in the same household so I am also experienced with caring for multiple pets including households with multiple cats and also dogs. I also have experience to varying degrees with deer, rabbits, horses, chickens, quail, and fish. I think pets are family and best friends and I am excited to meet yours and give them lots of love and attention I may be wearing a mask - don’t worry I’m not sick I am very immunocompromised so I mask around strangers just as an extra precaution so I don’t get sick For daycare or boarding for dogs I would prefer they are cat friendly but accommodations can be made for sure! Currrntl due to my job I can’t do morning drop ins or walks during the work week but can on weekends and can still do boardings. There are some afternoons where I occasionally have avilability and my availability is subject to change so please feel free to still message to ask :) I still do have lots of weekend free time too :) I’m happy to watch multi pet house holds and do daycare for multiple dogs if you have more than one! During meet ups I may be wearing a mask - don’t worry I’m not sick I am very immunocompromised so I mask around strangers just as an extra precaution so I don’t get sick In my own household I would provide them with their own toys, food and water bowls, and take them for lots of walks if applicable. My pets and any animals here are allowed to be on the furniture like the couches and bed but I usually put a blanket and a small bed on the ground in case some babies feel more comfy with that. I am more than happy to also crate them!
“Katherine was fantastic!! Drop off was super quick and easy, and I got a bunch of great pictures throughout the day of my kitty enjoying her stay. I’d recommend to anyone who’s in need of boarding!”

“Ryan and Martha took wonderful care of my dog. They treated her as a member of their family. They took her for walks and sent daily pictures. I will certainly ask them to care for Ella again when needed.”

“Al and Hannah were phenomenal! They were very responsive and sent a lot of updates through my dog's stay. It made me feel very comfortable leaving Cas with them, and I absolutely will again if the need arises. Highly recommend!”

“Erin was a wonderful, empathetic dogsitter! She watched our girl, Zuki, for six days, and she texted us updates and a few photos until we felt reassured that Zuki was adjusting to a new environment well. Our dog is a rescue, and she has some strange behaviors such as being reluctant to drink water in the house (maybe because an alpha dog “claimed” the water dish at the rescue). Erin made sure that Zuki ate enough, drank, and she took her plenty of walks. What’s more, she cuddled Zuki to make her feel more at ease. Erin even ended up sleeping on the couch near Zuki to keep her company. I could tell that Erin was monitoring Zuki’s behavior bc she knew that Zuki has “fears,” and I was glad that Zuki had the opportunity to meet Erin with us present (so that our dog would be more comfortable and know that Erin was a friend). Thank you, Erin, for taking care of our fur baby!”

“Hannah and family were amazing! It was clear from the pictures she shared that they felt safe and happy while we were away. Hannah sent lots of pictures and was so easy to communicate with. We already have another reservation booked with her!!”

“Stefanie and her family were so loving to my little dog Dolly! I cant say enough about how accommodating they were while I was away in Arizona for the week. I highly recommend them for your pups dog sitting needs! Will be using them again in the future for sure. Dolly sure does miss them all!”

“Cynthia provided excellent care of my little dog! Plenty of love & exercise! My dog has anxiety and Cynthia did a great job providing meds 2x/daily, lots of attention, and regular updates to me. :)”

“Manu is always so sweet to our puppy. She is so excited to teach her new things and to have her around! She is also so communicative and flexible. We would definitely recommend Manu to anyone looking for puppy care!”

“Thank you Jesse! You made this a lot easier than we thought it'd be. This was our first time boarding Tank and we're glad we chose you. Thanks again for caring for him while we were away. The pictures and video were a bonus. Thank you!”

“Jenny and her family did an excellent job watching Teddy and giving him the best experience during the holidays. It was even his birthday and they went above and beyond to throw a birthday party for him! We are so appreciative of how well Teddy was treated and all the photo updates were reassuring. Teddy is looking forward to his next stay! Highly recommend! 🤍”

“I couldn’t be happier with Rosie’s stay! Amanda sent pictures and Rosie was clearly having a wonderful time and fit right in. When I picked her up she was tired from playing and very happy. Rosie will definitely be a frequent visitor!”

“We appreciate the photo updates and great care Astro gets with Da Yeon and her partner. Both kind and take him for walks and let him snuggle with them on the couch- they treat him like family.”

“Amy was awesome!!! We were so grateful to know that our little dog was in such capable and loving hands while we were on vacation. She was very communicative and provided great updates. We will definitely book with her again!!! Thanks Amy!!! 💕🐾”

“Megan, Nick, and their children treated Ruby like their own pup! Ruby came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. They were also very responsive and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook with this family.”

“Juan has great! He and his son were very attentive with our dog. We were sent pictures throughout the day, and given updates about how our boy was doing! He has very high anxiety with strangers, and he had no problem calming down and napping with this family! When booking, we were told another dog would also be in Juan's care. He made sure that was okay with us, and went above and beyond to make sure our dogs never crossed paths (as we don't know if our dog is good with others yet) If you need a sitter, Juan is a great option! Very flexible, kind, and an overall great influence on your furry friend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Monona
Megan, Nick and their 3 daughters were wonderful. My dog Pippa stayed with them for almost 2 weeks, she just became a part of the family. Megan stayed in touch with me during my vacation so that I could see how Pippa was doing. I was so pleased to find them and will be using them again! I highly recommend them.

Suellen was so attentive to my dog! She sent pictures and videos and really took her time to listen and understand exactly what Caxixi would need while I was gone. She has two other dogs and it was great for Caxixi to have a companion over the long weekend! I would highly recommend Suellen’s services.

We are always nervous to leave our dog with someone new, but Jen did an amazing job caring for Dingo while we were away. I appreciate that she took the time to do a meet and greet and read over the care instructions. She was a calm presence for Dingo and respected his boundaries, while giving the care he needed. We’re so happy for the updates and many pictures Jen sent. That made us feel at ease. We would book Jen again in a heartbeat!

Our dog Lottie had a wonderful time. The large backyard and playtime provided her a ton of fun that she was happily tired on pick up! Derek and Yoki were able to squeeze her in due to a last minute change that happened with our schedule that was incredibly appreciated! Highly professional, and highly recommend!
Christina was amazing!!! Offered for us to come take a look at her place before the boarding!! Was very flexible with drop off/pickup!! Made sure to ask questions about sky and her needs to make her as comfortable as possible!! Sent lots of pictures and updates and did was great about making sure sky was eating!

I was honestly kinda nervous to leave my dog because I’ve never boarded him before and he can be a little anxious sometimes lol, but she was genuinely SO amazing with him!! She sent a ton of updates and pictures which made me feel so much better, and you could tell she really cared about him and wanted him comfortable. He came home happy, sleepy, and clearly very loved on haha. She was super sweet, easy to communicate with, and just overall made the whole experience way less stressful than I expected. I would 1000% trust her with archie again❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
