“This was our first time leaving our pup with a sitter. I really appreciate how cared for my pup was during her stay with Lauren. And I also appreciated all of the updates and pictures throughout the day. It kept us at ease knowing our pup was in a happy, loving environment. We will definitely use Lauren again in the near future! Thank you, Lauren!”

“Lindsay took great care of my dog, Taydo. Long walks, snoozes on her couch, and photos to keep me updated. I believe LIndsay to be completely trustworthy which is really important for a pet sitter.”

“Hannah and family were just the most wonderful hosts. Kind, warm, and flexible, they made both dogs feel comfortable right from the start. So many great photos of the dogs playing, long walks, and so many lap naps that I was able to not worry! I can’t thank Hannah enough.”

“Katherine was fantastic!! Drop off was super quick and easy, and I got a bunch of great pictures throughout the day of my kitty enjoying her stay. I’d recommend to anyone who’s in need of boarding!”

“Our quirky rescue pup was so well taken care of while we were away! In every update we got it was clear that our dog was feeling more and more comfortable and was left in good hands. We will definitely book again!”

“David was great! He was open to meeting ahead of booking to make sure our pets’ personalities meshed. Throughout the stay he was very communicative and sent updates, and flexible around drop off and pickup. I’d definitely book again! 👏”

“Our sheepadoodle had a good time playing with Mikaela’s dog, Theo. The fenced backyard is a big plus for playtime! We would definitely leave our dog in her care again.”

“Jessie was great. He's expensive, but absolutely worth it. My dog came down with an illness a week before a planned vacation, I needed to board her with someone that could administer her meds and where she was isolated with other dogs. Jessie was able to handle her situation, and spoiled the heck out of her as well. I'd definitely book with him again.”

“Jennifer watched Teddy for me overnight and did a great job. She was communicative, caring, and made me feel comfortable leaving him with her. Teddy was well taken care of, and I will definitely book with her again! She sent several pictures of him and I could tell he was a happy boy❤️”

“Amanda and her family are like a second family to our Rosie! Amanda is flexible, easy to communicate with and provides a great place for our pup when we’re out of town.”

“Fabulous! Mack gave her 4 paws up and he would have given her more but he only has 4 paws. He has been online trying one to buy me more airline trips so he can go back to Steph and live the good life. Can’t praise her enough. Deb Spencley”

“Robert cared for our two cats over a 13 day span. He was so caring and supportive of them. We are very grateful to have peace of mind while we were away. His daily updates brought us a smile. Thank you Robert!”

“Manuela took great care of our dog, Izzy, for the week. She asked detailed questions about Izzy's care routine to make sure the transition was as smooth as possible. We received photos and updates throughout the stay. We'd be happy for Izzy to stay with her again.”

“Christine was amazing with our dog Wally. We loved all of the pictures and updates we got from her. We look forward to taking our dog to her for future pet sitting needs. 100% would recommend her to a friend. She went above and beyond for us!”
“Ben and Kassy were great. My dog Loki was very nervous and anxious and went above and beyond to help acclimate him to their place and their dogs. They also send me daily pictures and videos. By day 2, he was having a blast! Definitely will be using them again for future trips.”
“Kristopher and Finny got along just great! Kristopher provided updates throughout the weekend and I was very comfortable leaving my new puppy with him. He was well prepared and followed my instructions and Finny seemed to enjoy his stay very much!”

“Tom was fantastic. His extensive knowledge about dogs was evident, and he invested the time to ensure that Pocket had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to utilize his services again.”

“Our two dogs had a great stay with Michele and her family, and we couldn't be happier with their care! We've had a long-term house and dog sitter who recently relocated away from town, so our dogs had never had the experience of staying away from home without us before. We were a little concerned about how that would go, but right from the start we were reassured by Michelle's friendliness, her evident dog smarts, and her long experience with (sometimes challenging) pups. Before and throughout the boarding process, communication was just right -- clear and relevant, frequent enough to be reassuring but not at all excessive. When we returned home and picked up the dogs, they were in great shape: happy, relaxed, and clearly in no rush to leave Michelle and her family behind :) We'll definitely hope to have them stay again in the future.”

Angelica was fantastic! She took care of our dog with lots of love. Took her out for walks and played with her. Also fed her well and followed our dog diet restriction. Definitely we will contact Angelica again! Angelica fue fantástica! Cuidó muy bien de nuestra perra con mucho cariño. La sacó a caminar y jugó con ella. Fue muy atenta al seguir al pie de la letra el regimen alimenticio que nuestra perra debía tener. Definitivamente, volveremos a contactar a Angelica!

Jen watched Gus at her place for 5 nights and Gus seemed to have the best time in the world! She was communicative about their day, made sure he got his medication, and spent lots of time safely exercising him despite the overly hot weather. She seems like she really genuinely loves watching dogs and it made me feel better knowing he was in such good hands. Jen is so nice and thoughtful and I’d recommend her to anyone.

Suellen took such good care of my one year-old puppy. I was a little nervous to leave her since I just adopted Winnie three months ago and she has isolation anxiety, but she had a wonderful time staying with Suellen. You can tell she really loves dogs by the way she interacts with them. Her backyard is the perfect set up for dogs to play. Winnie really enjoyed the other two dogs in the house. I received regular updates which helped ease my worries while away. I would highly recommend Suellen!

This was the first time I left my two pups with Kaycee & Robert, having recently moved to Madison. We did a meet and greet in advance, which went well. They did a great job of communicating and taking care of my two little wild ones. It's a relief to have found Kaycee & Robert, and I definitely would use them again.
Megan, Nick and their 3 daughters were wonderful. My dog Pippa stayed with them for almost 2 weeks, she just became a part of the family. Megan stayed in touch with me during my vacation so that I could see how Pippa was doing. I was so pleased to find them and will be using them again! I highly recommend them.

Our dog Lottie had a wonderful time. The large backyard and playtime provided her a ton of fun that she was happily tired on pick up! Derek and Yoki were able to squeeze her in due to a last minute change that happened with our schedule that was incredibly appreciated! Highly professional, and highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
