About: We currently have one little dog of our own and have 6 years of experience on Rover. My hubby and I have trained and taken care of puppies as well. We have taken care of pets of all ages and sizes, including birds/parrots (we used to have a parrot!). When we are available and not working, we enjoy taking care of pets in the capacity of walking, drop-ins, or daycare. Depending on the services needed, we are open to all types of pets, sizes, and ages. We are allergic to cats so cannot do daycare at our place for cats but we can drop-in to feed cats. I contacted Lorelei and she got back to me right away as I was in a panic the night before work. She was able to help watch Beau while I worked long hours. I got tons of videos and pictures reassuring me throughout the day. Beau came home tired and worn out from playing with the other dogs. Lorelei took into consideration he was a puppy and took him on lots of potty breaks and blocked off the stairs so he wouldn’t fall, since he was still new to those. About: From second grade until this past year, I grew up taking care of my maltese shih tzu everyday, named Ruby. She was certainly a very spoiled and loved dog! Since she passed just a couple months ago, it's been strange lacking the comfort and company that Ruby always provided me when I was alone- whether that was on long hiking adventures or just relaxing. In spite of her passing, and my overall affection for animals, I'm eagerly looking forward to finding new furry friends to take care of, play with, and join me on my walks! And aside from all my love for Ruby, she was definitely stubborn and picky so I have experience in dealing with difficult dogs, keeping patience, and figuring out how to accommodate each individual dogs needs and personality. Additionally, my sister has been on rover for years and has watched countless dogs and cats through this platform, and I've helped her out a lot, which has obviously provided me with the most relevant experience possible! I will be a junior at UW-Madison, but for now I am enjoying my summer in Madison without classes going on! Therefore, I have plenty of free time and so I'd love to fill it with caring for pets! Living at a prime location in the UW-Madison campus, and having easy access to my car means I can walk or drive to you and your pet and come to your home even if it's outside of campus. Whether your dog likes to loiter around every mailbox we pass on walks, or if they like to run, then I'm the dog walker for them! I'm happy to do a casual stroll and bathroom break, and just as happy to do long, multiple-mile walks. As I've gotten used to my whole life, I will always pick up after your dog and will make sure they stay safe and close to me by using whatever leash and collar you can provide. And no matter the weather, I'm still happy to spend the time outside with your dog! If you just need me to stop by to feed your pet and take them for a potty break outside, then I will happily pick up after them in the yard and after they are done eating. I grew up in nice home with a Mom who always taught me to keep things clean, organized, have good manners, and when at others homes to always leave things cleaner than how it was when I arrived. About: I’ve had dogs in my family since I was born and my grandparents volunteered for a dog rescue shelter in Eagle River, WI. I am also studying to become a mental health therapist and work with elderly, children, and those with intellectual disabilities. I believe have lots of soft skills from this experience that the animals like! During the semester I will be busy from roughly 9am-3pm, but outside of that I am very flexible for hours! About: Hi! I’m Emily. 😊 And I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs in my home. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets when they’ve needed help over the last thirty years or so. I have also worked at a dog kennel where I walked and bathed dogs of all sizes and breeds. And I currently volunteer for the Humane Society where I interact with animals regularly. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well. And I work a 9 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday and I’m fully remote so I have plenty of time to regularly take dogs outside, out into my fenced in yard or to take them for both short and longer walks. I can dog sit any day though I do volunteer for the Humane Society on Friday evenings so they don’t work for me. Also, my rate is for six hours or less and then I charge an additional $5/hour for each hour after that FYI. I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate your dog if desired. I currently have one cat who has lived with a dog in the past, though I typically separate her in what I call her upstairs “kitty apartment” anyway. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well.

About: Hello, my name is Katy and I would love to care for your dog! I just finished a term with AmeriCorps and now work part-time in the service industry. My flexible schedule means I am free to walk or watch your pup! I understand that caring for your dog means understanding their individual needs. Please don't shy away from telling me your dog's specific needs and quirks. I want to make caring for your dog a great experience for both pet andowner. I bring passion and professionalism to this job and absolutely enjoy what I do. I have had dogs all my life and currently have an elderly chihuahua. Because of his health concerns and age, I'm not currently boarding dogs at my home. However, I would love to walk and sit your pups and can assure they will get attentive and safe care.
About: As a lifelong dog owner, I understand how much happiness our furry friends bring to our lives. My first rescue pup was a golden retriever mix named Luna, the sweetest dog who stole hearts everywhere she went. I currently have a Rottweiler who loves romping in the yard and excels at snuggling. It would be my pleasure to care for your dog while you are away. Long walks, playtime, and endless snuggles are services I can provide. I am comfortable with large breeds. My work schedule is quite flexible, so I have availability most days. I would be happy to meet you and your dog prior to bookings. I am passionate about animal rescue, and have experience volunteering at Dane County Humane Society. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

About: Pets have always been family to me. My own dog, Charlie, was by my side for over 16 years, through military moves, raising two boys, and every season of life in between. Caring for him taught me that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and way of communicating. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone to stick to their routine, I'll care for them with the same patience, love, and attention I'd want for my own. My goal is simple: for you to leave knowing your pet is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for. As someone who is used to having a pet at home with me at all times, I miss that dog energy! I am excited to care for yours with attention, affection, and reliability. Although I have an unfenced yard, your pet's safety is always my priority. I use leashes for all outdoor time and love taking walks, playing, and giving pets plenty of exercise and attention.

“Erin was a wonderful, empathetic dogsitter! She watched our girl, Zuki, for six days, and she texted us updates and a few photos until we felt reassured that Zuki was adjusting to a new environment well. Our dog is a rescue, and she has some strange behaviors such as being reluctant to drink water in the house (maybe because an alpha dog “claimed” the water dish at the rescue). Erin made sure that Zuki ate enough, drank, and she took her plenty of walks. What’s more, she cuddled Zuki to make her feel more at ease. Erin even ended up sleeping on the couch near Zuki to keep her company. I could tell that Erin was monitoring Zuki’s behavior bc she knew that Zuki has “fears,” and I was glad that Zuki had the opportunity to meet Erin with us present (so that our dog would be more comfortable and know that Erin was a friend). Thank you, Erin, for taking care of our fur baby!”
