“Margaret took excellent care of our new rescue for a 2 day boarding. She was super easy to communicate with and responded quickly, sent regular updates, pictures, and videos, and clearly goes the extra mile to make sure your dog is well cared for. We will 100% be booking with her in the future for any dog sitting needs!”

“Alicia was so great with our dog and we loved getting some pictures and an update each day. We will definitely book again in the future! Boarding at a facility just doesn’t compare.”

“Kaycee and Robert took great care of my two dogs. They sent lots of updates, and communicated clearly with us. I’d highly recommend them, and will reach out to them when I need someone to watch our dogs again.”

“Ellen took terrific care of our old girl! She went above and beyond helping her get through a few health/diet issues that came up during the stay. Very responsive and helpful updates throughout the stay. Would recommend Ellen to anyone looking to board!”
“Rebecca and Connor are awesome! Our pup stayed at their place for his first time away from home, and we were a little nervous about how he’d do because he has a bit of fear in new situations. We immediately felt at ease, and Toby clearly had a great time sniffing around their big yard. Excellent communication, too.”

“Mary and her family were absolutely wonderful sitters for Grizzy! They took great care of him during a cold snap, making sure he was warm and comfortable. Mary sent wonderful updates and absolutely adorable pictures, and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Jenny and her family did an excellent job watching Teddy and giving him the best experience during the holidays. It was even his birthday and they went above and beyond to throw a birthday party for him! We are so appreciative of how well Teddy was treated and all the photo updates were reassuring. Teddy is looking forward to his next stay! Highly recommend! 🤍”

About: Dogs are my favorite people - I attract dogs wherever I go. I have owned two dogs in my adult life-English Bulldog and Goldendoodle. Currently, I have a 10 year old goldendoodle. She loves everyone. I am a teacher and have off during the summer. I enjoy hiking, camping, biking, running, reading, gardening, and cooking. I’m currently on summer break, so my days are very flexible. During the school year, I am available before 7am or after 4pm. I have a very friendly goldendoodle. I have a big yard. I am willing to provide lots of love, playtime, and walks for your dog. I can be active with your pet or sit with them and love them up. Whatever you need, I can provide.

“Barney had a great time with Lorelei and the other pups! Lorelei was also incredibly flexible and understanding about a delayed flight and super late pick up time. We'll definitely go back next time we need a sitter!”
“Tessa has been an absolute delight and I'm so glad to have trusted her with my Trixie. She helped celebrate Trixie's birthday and took her on so many walks and ample outside time! Highly recommend Tessa (and Tennessee)!”

“So glad I found Cleda! Organized, friendly, responsive. But most importantly, Roux loves her. Leaving both my pets and traveling out of the country for 2 weeks was tough. But every morning I awoke to an email and pictures letting me know that all was going well. Highly recommend!”

“Great communication for booking, through their stay, and when we needed to adjust our pick up time. We received pictures of our ladies several times, which brightened our day and helped us feel at ease when we were away. They were very attentive to the different food and medication needs our ladies have. We will definitely use them again for future boarding.”

“Robert was amazing! Lots of updates, great communication, and not a doubt in my mind that my dog was being taken care of well! I would absolutely let him watch Thor again!”

“David did a great job with our dog Roscoe for a long weekend! Roscoe is a high energy dog that needs a lot of attention and David had the perfect set up, with a great property including a fenced in area. We received daily photo updates and very flexible pick up and drop off times. We would recommend David to anyone and would be confident having Roscoe visit again in the future!”

“I am extremely pleased with how well Riley's first time there went! I received prompt updates, photos, and feel she took great care of Riley during my absence. Will definitely book again!”

“Suellen was so great to Ari! She kept me updated with photos and videos and was very lenient with pick up/drop off times!! I would 100% recommend Suellen!!!”

“Duane and Lauren are always so accommodating and flexible when we book with them! Our pup is always exciting to stay with them and it makes me happy to know she likes to be there! Thank you so much Duane and Lauren for always taking care of Stormi!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Deforest
This was our first boarding experience with Morgan and she was awesome. Our dog is a bit anxious and slow to warm up to people. It was clear from the start that Morgan understands dogs and can match their energy. She took great care of our Rosie and sent regular updates. It was great to enjoy our vacation without worrying about the dog. We also had some flight issues on the way home and Morgan was flexible and helpful.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
