“Fabulous! Mack gave her 4 paws up and he would have given her more but he only has 4 paws. He has been online trying one to buy me more airline trips so he can go back to Steph and live the good life. Can’t praise her enough. Deb Spencley”

“Yoki and Derek were extremely welcoming to our dog and had great communication with us throughout the stay. They have the perfect house/yard for your pet to get plenty of exercise or just hang out. I would recommend booking with them.”

“My pup Cricket loves Kristin, Bruce, Hartley, and Lauren SO MUCH. He has quite a lot of energy and every time he gets to stay with them, he comes home tired and content (and even pouted the whole way home in the car this time). In addition to being fantastic Rovers, they're just great human beings and we're so grateful to have found them and cannot recommend more. Thank you, as always, for everything!!”

“I would recommend Ndaziona to anyone who wants a great dog setter. Nikita was given best care anyone could ask for. During the time that she was with this family we continually got updates and pictures setting our mind at ease, knowing she was getting the best care we could have asked for. Again I would highly recommend this setter.”

About: Pets have always been family to me. My own dog, Charlie, was by my side for over 16 years, through military moves, raising two boys, and every season of life in between. Caring for him taught me that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and way of communicating. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone to stick to their routine, I'll care for them with the same patience, love, and attention I'd want for my own. My goal is simple: for you to leave knowing your pet is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for. As someone who is used to having a pet at home with me at all times, I miss that dog energy! I am excited to care for yours with attention, affection, and reliability. Although I have an unfenced yard, your pet's safety is always my priority. I use leashes for all outdoor time and love taking walks, playing, and giving pets plenty of exercise and attention.
“We love Margaret & so does our pup, she’s at ease whenever she gets to the house and sees her favorite dog sitter. She’s the only Rover we choose and we couldn’t be happier with her excellent care!”

“Tony was great with our dogs, as it was their first sleepover together. He sent lots of updates and pictures, so we had no worries. They had a great time and came home tired but content!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Sarah accommodated our last-minute request to watch our 3-month-old puppy for two days. Rip and Mayla were so friendly and playful when we stopped by for a meet and greet. And Sarah's obvious expertise and calm demeanor made it clear that this was a good fit for us. She was always quick with responses, sent daily updates with several pictures spanning the course of the day, and gave a very thorough rundown of how our puppy did his entire time there when we arrived to pick him up. It was clear that she had his best interests at heart. And any time we need a puppy sitter, she will be the first person we contact. 10/10 Highly recommend.”

“Our little pup Rena absolutely enjoyed her stay with Tessa! We were given the best pup-dates throughout the day and enjoyed seeing pictures of our pup having the best vacation with Tessa and Tennessee. Thank you for your care, attention, and love to Rena! Tessa was also super flexible with drop off after we had to deal with a medical emergency and I am so grateful for that!”

“My dog (11 months) has been boarded before. He has never had a problem, but when he came home, he had pent up energy and regressed in training. However, with Shelly he did not regress at all. He was very happy to see me, but he also seemed to say goodbye to her in the way he interacted which made me feel like he really enjoyed his stay with her more than other times he’s been watched by others. I would use Shelly again.”

“They were so great with Lacey! They shared pictures multiple times a day and gave little updates with each! I appreciated it so much as I always like to know my pup is doing while I'm gone! I will definitely be booking with them again the next time I need a rover!”

“I am extremely pleased with how well Riley's first time there went! I received prompt updates, photos, and feel she took great care of Riley during my absence. Will definitely book again!”

“Mary and her family were absolutely wonderful sitters for Grizzy! They took great care of him during a cold snap, making sure he was warm and comfortable. Mary sent wonderful updates and absolutely adorable pictures, and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Great to work with! Helped me out in a pinch with my 3 dogs which can be quite a handful at times, but she welcomed them right in to her home for the weekend and they had a great time, even slept in bed all together with her! Sent pictures and video and kept in constant communication. Would definitely recommend and use again. Thanks Rebecca!!”

“Michelle and her family cared for Chuck as if he was their own. As a dog that struggles with separation anxiety, I worry about going away, but the pictures and updates about Chuck showed him to be comfortable and relaxed. Michelle was easy to work with and clearly an animal lover.”

“Kris was great with Lacy. I like how she meet us before are stay to get to know us. She is so flexible my flight was late a she had no problem keeping Lacy a little longer. I will highly recommend her. I will be booking with her again.”

“Sofi took incredible care of our girl! She was always responsive and sent us frequent updates where I could see how happy Kiwi was. She is very knowledgeable about pet care and I would trust her with Kiwi anytime! Thank you again for giving so much love to Kiwi!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
