About: I haven't been without a dog since age nine, when my parents gave us our first opportunity to develop a bond with a pet, Abby, our beloved English setter. She died the year I graduated from college, and since then I have had two of my own dogs: Gretta, a chocolate lab whom I owned from age 6 weeks until her death at age 13, and Lillie, a springer spaniel who was basically a life-long puppy exploding with energy and a fervor for running, jumping, and all things adventure-related. Sadly, Lillie died in June (at age 13), and we miss her so much. My husband and I like to travel, so I am not quite ready to adopt another dog yet, but in the meantime, I would love to pet-sit for other dogs so as to be around furry friends who bring so much joy to my life. I'm a teacher, so I'm mainly interested in walking and caring for pets on the weekends and during the summer months, but I can be available other times as well depending on my schedule. My job is to provide love, attention, and a safe and enriching learning environment to any pet in my care. I accommodate as needed depending on the needs of the individual animal.

About: I have 10 years of experience house/pet-sitting. I do the best I can to continue your pet's routine while you're away including watering/feeding, walking, playing, taking your pet on outings like the dog-park for example, admistering medications, cleaning up pet waste, or anything else you'd like me to do! I have experience taking care of all different kinds of pets such as chickens, ducks, fish, cats, dogs, hamster, hermit crab, turtle, and hedgehog. I also can provide overnight care for your pets including housesitting if needed. Housesitting responsibilites include watering plants, getting your mail, mowing the grass, putting out your garbage, or any other household tasks you'd like done while you're away including taking care of your pet and/or pets. I'm also available this summer Monday through Friday to drop-in to take care of pets from 1:30pm-6:00pm. This could include watering/feeding, walking, or anything your pet may need. I have no resident pets and board only one household at a time, so your dog gets plenty of individual attention without having to share their space with unfamiliar dogs. I have more than 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs and have also fostered dogs for rescue. I especially love caring for small breeds, senior dogs, shy or sensitive dogs, and dogs who may feel overwhelmed in a traditional kennel or busy multi-dog boarding environment. My home has a securely fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable here—including on the furniture and in bed if that’s what they’re accustomed to at home. I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including meals, walks, sleeping arrangements, and all those little things that help them feel secure. For safety and insurance reasons, I cannot accept dogs with a known history of aggression, biting, or attacks toward people or other animals. Let’s make sure we’re a good match I would love to do a meet-and-greet with your dog. It’s a chance for me to get to know your dog, learn about their personality and routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before their stay. My goal is simple: while you’re away, I want your dog to feel like they’re staying at a friend’s house—not like they’re being sent to a boarding facility. ❤️ I currently work a full-time job Monday -Friday, 8:00 - 4:30. I’m a homebody type who would love just hanging out with your dog(s). I have a securely fenced yard and plenty of room in my house for your dog to be comfortable. Pets are family to me, so there’s no area of my house that’s off limits, including my furniture and bed.
