Dogs are my favorite people!!

**I've got limited availability these days (new job), but I'm generally available anytime on the weekends, and some hours during the week. I work afternoons and evenings on Wed, Thurs, Fri, but if you need help outside those hours, I'd love to chat!** Hi! I’m Jen. I’m a married mom of three school-age kids, three dogs, two snakes, and two kitties. I’ve had dogs my whole life, and have lots of experience with all different sizes, breeds and temperaments. Currently, we have three rescues: a black Lab/Shiba Inu mix, a Lab/Shepherd mix, and a Cocker Spaniel. I love dogs and their never-ending joy in just living. ;) Since my husband says we can’t get any more dogs in our house (boo!) I love meeting new dogs and getting to know other people’s dogs. I’d love to meet yours!! We also recently adopted Brooklyn, a yellow-eyed kitten, and Sylvester, a black-and-white cuddler, and they've added some fun to our household. ;) I also have experience with birds, fish, small mammals and reptiles. I work in health care (humans) and work varying overnight shifts, so my availability also varies, but I'd love to talk about your needs for your pets. I'm booked right now for regular midday dog walks, but if you have some time flexibility, or have other needs (overnight sittings or non-midday drop-in visits for dogs, cats or other pets) I’d love to chat!! I've got experience in medication administration for dogs and cats, and with senior and special-needs pets.

I'm so sad to leave this review but I feel it's important to be honest and save other pets from potential suffering. I can't hire Jennifer anymore. What I walked in to, the smell of my house, it was unacceptable. She's not able to work the microchip feeder, every time I come home it's all wonky. I don't really understand why it's an issue but we could work around it. I taped off the buttons she was pressing incorrectly to help with this issue. he told me the batteries were dead. The feeder was fully functional when I got home. Saffron's slow feeder ball was full of kibbles that were too big to go through the holes and she just let the ball fill up with old food and hair over the days I've been gone. I don't know if a full feeding would even have fit in the ball by the time I came home with all the too big pieces. I don't understand why she would make this choice. The bit that is most upsetting, she left a paper grocery bag full of all the litterbox scoopings for the entirety of my absence in my office. I gave specific instructions on where the trashcan is, which one is mine. Nope, she just left a whole bag of pee clumps and poop sitting open which is why the house smelled so strong of excrement. There are rolls of poop bags by each litter box, there's no logical reason for this behavior. She did apologize unprompted for leaving the bag of scoopings out, which tells me she knows what she did was wrong. I've found this experience upsetting and saddening. Please don't let this happen to your pets, they don't deserve to spend your vacation marinating in the fumes of their own waste unable to properly access their food. In my opinion this is unacceptable.

This was our second time having Jen take care of our dog Marvel. We loved getting updates and photos. We could tell he was in great hands, getting lots of affection, and all his needs met. We will book Jen again and again!
