“Chayla did a great job of taking care of my two cats. One of them needed two medications, and it eased my mind to know that she had the skills and knowledge to handle it so well. Thanks, Chayla!”

“Linda took care of Odie for three days when we needed a break. He loved her yard and her house and her attention. We will definitely call on her again for boarding our dog.”

“Our little fella Tucker had an Awesome stay with Jackie. He was well cared for and received so much love and cuddles. He is usually shy but he made himself right at home with Jackie from his meet and greet he felt right at home. Thank you Jackie we were so happy to have you watch our Tucker.”

“Overall great experience. Quick to respond and took the initiative to send pictures everyday. The home was beautiful and I felt very safe leaving my puppy for a few nights.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Mary watching our boys. This was the first time they were boarded. She was reassuring when I was worried about them and I knew immediately they were in great hands. They enjoyed playing with her dog. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”

“Julieth and her husband were wonderful hosts for our dog. They took great care of him, provided plenty of updates and photos, and were accommodating with our pick up time. We will definitely board with them again in the future!”

“Best experience with a rover sitter to date. Bruce sends lots of pictures and responds very quickly. His yard is huge and clean and Georgie came home as clean as he was when we dropped him off. Thanks Bruce!”

“Jennifer is great. She took care of my dog 3 days. She keep me informed all the time and sends the pictures of my dog. If I need to use her services in the future, I will definitely use her services”

“My cat Rocky loves going to Maria’s. She took him at the last minute. Maria is great with him. She sends pictures and updates all day. I highly recommend her and we are using her again next month”

“Michelle was amazing with my two dogs! She took them to the dog park everyday, sent lots of pictures and videos and even took some adorable Easter pictures of them!! She was so great when my times changed and my dogs loved their stay with her!!”

“we absolutely loved Gypsy and Keith. My boyfriend and I went for a weekend away and we needed a place to keep our fur baby. We were so lucky to have found them on DogVacay. It was our first time using the site as well and we were both so nervous about leaving our little guy behind, but they both kept our minds at ease. Gypsy sent us photos throughout the trip of him going for long walks and playing with the other dogs, which is amazing since he is usually antisocial with other animals, but he didn't seem to have an issue at all and was able to make new friends. When we picked him up he was so behaved and they actually taught him not to jump up so much, which is a plus since we have been trying to teach him not to do that for ages. He is now home and you can tell he had such an amazing time with them. He is completely worn out from the fun. :) We will definitely be leaving our little guy there every time we take a trip.”
“Rita took care of my 4 month old Doxy puppy for 5 days. I honestly couldn’t find any one else who would board my puppy. She communicated with me through out the stay and sent pictures. Rita is a wonderful sitter! Very caring and loving! Thank you Rita!!”

“Anne was such a sweetheart with my baby. He loved spending a few days with her. She was pleasant and communicated quickly. She’ll definitely be my first go to the next time I need a sitter.”
“Brittany was Fantastic and communicated very well while boarding our dog for two nights. She invited me into the house on drop off which was very nice. Would use again!!”

“Fahriye was an excellent dog sitter to our adorable Freddie. She communicated promptly, was very flexible with the timing , sent pictures and updates and gave him a lot of Love. We highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future”

“Amanda was great! At first I was apprehensive to just leave my dog with someone unknown. Amanda completely understood and did a meet and great a couple weeks before I was scheduled to leave my dog with her. That helped put my mind at ease. She provided daily updates with pictures so I could see that my guy was doing well. She was also very flexible. My flight was delayed by a couple hours and she was ok with me picking up my dog a little late in the evening. I'll definitely be talking advantage of Amanda's services in the future.”

“An amazing family to leave my furbabies with! They were attentive and welcoming to my boys, great pics and fun walks with them. Can’t thank them enough for the love and care.”

This a great sitter for my 2 boys, Carina is a caring, loving sitter and treats your pets as if they are her pets. The boys have a great time over Carina's house, with 3, 4 legged playmates and one that looks like them, but in mini form for now, also a little human that interacts with the boys as they are her puppies, all had a great time! Carina sends pictures of your pet while your away, just looking in their little faces, they are happy and comfortable staying over. I have already booked their next stay there, very pleased with her service.

Christina and her family were absolutely amazing! Pleasure meeting them and immediately felt my St. Bernard was in amazing hands. She’s one of our kids so finding the right person was very important. She came back so happy and healthy and Christina stayed in touch the entire trip. I Can’t recommend enough will definitely be the person I trust going forward.

This family is truly stellar! They are incredibly flexible, accommodating, and lead with genuine care. My pups are treated so much like their own that they’re actually reluctant to come home after a long stay! If you’re looking for a welcoming environment where your four-legged kiddos will be truly loved, you’ve found the right place. My pups are always excited to jump out of the truck and run inside to find their friends and 'second family.' Highly recommended for anyone who wants total peace of mind!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
