“Patricia and her mom are the best!!! My Holly Girl is very anxious and a velcro dog, so I was worried at first. Patricia, however, sent me photos throughout and kept me updated! I was at peace of mind while she had Holly. :) She’s also very accommodating which I appreciated so so much. Next time I get a sitter, I will DEFINITELY be coming back!! She’s the best. :)”

“Shannon was great and our dog loved being at her house!! She had great attention to detail for Lucy’s care and was flexible and so sweet!! We will definitely be repeat customers!”

“Cristal was quick at responding and willing to watch our crazy dogs. She made sure to ease my anxiety by sending pictures and videos throughout their stay. I could tell our dogs loved having the huge yard to run around by the video she shared with us. We will definitely be booking with her in the future! 😊”

“MJ was amazing watching my pup, the photos proved she felt comfortable in her home, even playing with her doggies! Will definitely be contacting her for future sitting, and so should you!”

“Bryan has watched our cat and dog a few times and is always great! He keeps us updated with pictures and lets us know if there is ever anything going on with our pets. Our pets feel at home with Bryan and we recommend him highly:)”

“Michael was fantastic! He followed all instructions for Peanut perfectly, especially regarding feeding and routine. Peanut was happy and relaxed when he got home, which made me happy. I would highly recommended Michael and will book again!"”

“This was the first time I ever left my two pups with someone other than a close friend or family member. Debra made me feel very comfortable from the very beginning. She agreed to meet with me before hand so I could feel comfortable with where my pups would be staying. And she kept me updated throughout their entire stay, sending pictures every day and letting me know how they were doing. I will definitely be using Debra again to care for my two babies!”

“Dale & Saydrean we’re amazing! We used a Kennel the last time and it was a bad experience for our dog. This was so much better than using a kennel. They sent us pictures and Sophie was so much better this time when picking her up. I would highly recommend Dale and Saydrean to anyone needing their dog watched and truly cared for!!”

“Cheri was great with Holt. We have never had someone other than our friends watch our dogs over the years. Cheri calmed our nerves at the meet and greet and then sent updates every day, even a few hours after I dropped him off. Holt had a good time and made new friends.”

“Overall great experience. Quick to respond and took the initiative to send pictures everyday. The home was beautiful and I felt very safe leaving my puppy for a few nights.”

“Tisha was an amazing sitter! She was able to watch my dog at the last minute. London and Lilly had fun together and became couch buddies. Very communicative and sent pics 😊 Will definitely be booking with you again. Thank you so much!”

“Brett and his girls did an amazing job taking care of my dog. Brett sent photos throughout the stay and I felt confident that she was in great hands and being taken care of like she was there own. I will definitely be asking them again in the future.”
“Heather and Brenden are such sweet caretakers and I appreciate them taking care of Vito. I’ve been a repeat client and am grateful I found such wonderful care for my furry friend.”

“we absolutely loved Gypsy and Keith. My boyfriend and I went for a weekend away and we needed a place to keep our fur baby. We were so lucky to have found them on DogVacay. It was our first time using the site as well and we were both so nervous about leaving our little guy behind, but they both kept our minds at ease. Gypsy sent us photos throughout the trip of him going for long walks and playing with the other dogs, which is amazing since he is usually antisocial with other animals, but he didn't seem to have an issue at all and was able to make new friends. When we picked him up he was so behaved and they actually taught him not to jump up so much, which is a plus since we have been trying to teach him not to do that for ages. He is now home and you can tell he had such an amazing time with them. He is completely worn out from the fun. :) We will definitely be leaving our little guy there every time we take a trip.”

“Terrie was fantastic! Very communicative during the full process and we got the sense that she genuinely loves what she does and cares for each dog. Constant pictures kept us happy! Her home setup is awesome and having other dogs to play with made Jackson’s stay feel more like a vacation than a kennel. Will book again!”

Abigail is AMAZING! Our pup is a mini poodle and just over one year old. He was recently adopted (3 months ago) and very nervous and barky with people he doesn't know. When we met Abigail, he instantly took to her. She made him feel safe and at peace while we went on our 2 day vacation. We are so thankful for Abigail and will book again!!

Andrea and Wes are so great with Micah!!! Micah has spent a couple of nights with them and their two pups!!! I got pictures and assurance that Micah was having lots of love and playtime !! Thank you both also for working with me through my many work schedule changes and being flexible

Jomarie was so amazing! We had to book pretty last minute, but she was so accomodating and kept us updated throughout the trip. We even had some weather delays that changed our plans, and she was more than happy to help us out. The dogs came back healthy and happy. We will definitely be booking with Jomarie again!

This was such a positive experience for both us and our dog! He has never been left with anyone at their house before, and it was the best first experience ever. Carmin was so polite, organize, and communicated with updates. She truly loved our dog and we would recommend over and over again!

This a great sitter for my 2 boys, Carina is a caring, loving sitter and treats your pets as if they are her pets. The boys have a great time over Carina's house, with 3, 4 legged playmates and one that looks like them, but in mini form for now, also a little human that interacts with the boys as they are her puppies, all had a great time! Carina sends pictures of your pet while your away, just looking in their little faces, they are happy and comfortable staying over. I have already booked their next stay there, very pleased with her service.

Christina and her family were absolutely amazing! Pleasure meeting them and immediately felt my St. Bernard was in amazing hands. She’s one of our kids so finding the right person was very important. She came back so happy and healthy and Christina stayed in touch the entire trip. I Can’t recommend enough will definitely be the person I trust going forward.

This family is truly stellar! They are incredibly flexible, accommodating, and lead with genuine care. My pups are treated so much like their own that they’re actually reluctant to come home after a long stay! If you’re looking for a welcoming environment where your four-legged kiddos will be truly loved, you’ve found the right place. My pups are always excited to jump out of the truck and run inside to find their friends and 'second family.' Highly recommended for anyone who wants total peace of mind!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
