“Jackie took such great care of my dog! I was nervous at first but felt complete ease once I met her. Her communication was excellent. She kept us updated and sent us pictures of our dog. Thank you Jackie! We appreciate you.”

“So thankful for Christina and Oskar! They took great care of my baby Charley, gave us updates and sent pictures of how he was doing. They are very organized and detailed, making sure Charley had everything he needed and worked with him during his pickiness in eating.”

“Just so kind and patient. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a last minute request and I got an answer right away. I got frequent updates and pictures along with some training tips and just an overall great communication. Will be booking with Denys and only Denys again. :)”

“We got so many updates throughout the day, keeping us assured that all is well with our dog on his first overnight stay! Michelle was so good to Jack, we will definitely be using her services again!”

“We’re very happy that Heather and Brendan took such great care of our dog, Hiro, while we were out of town. Their communication was excellent, and we felt confident knowing Hiro was in good hands. We’d definitely count on them again!”

“Fahriye was wonderful with Molly and even groomed her and trimmed her nails (no small feat for Molly ;)). She also updated me daily with messages and pictures. I’ll definitely use her again!”

“I was nervous to leave my senior dog with a sitter since I've never done it before but Carla was great! My dog can be a little anxious with strangers but I think Carla made her feel right at home!”

“Shannon was amazing with my old man. I had booked someone previously but was uncomfortable with it and then I found Shannon. She put me at ease. I would 100% rebook next time we go out of town.”

“Kim was an absolute pleasure to have as our dogsitter. We had some outstanding circumstances that she was able to work with us on and made the entire process smooth and convenient. Our two boys looked great and in high spirits when we got home. Her home is extremely welcoming and dog-friendly, and her backyard is a doggie heaven. We could not sing her praises any more than we are now. If you are looking for someone to take great care of your fur babies while you are away, you can rest assured Kim will be a great host. Will undoubtably be using her services again! 5/5 stars!”

“We were so happy to be able to connect with Lee-Anne to watch our dog Dodger for a week while we were out of town on vacation. She was very responsive to our messages as soon as we sent the boarding g request, and throughout the booking and boarding process. When we did a meet and greet Lee-Anne asked a ton of great questions and it was clear she was interested in getting to know and understand Dodger’s needs, which I really appreciated. While we were gone she sent pictures and video updates showing us what a great time Dodger was having. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up and we couldn’t have been happier. We’d highly recommend Lee-Anne for your boarding and other pet needs and hope to work with her again in the future!”

“Alex was great with Bogart and stayed in constant communication with me. I could tell that Bogart was enjoying his visit with Alex and I look forward to booking with him again.”

“Christina was amazing! We used her as our first dog sitter who wasn’t family. She took amazing care of our baby and even sent us daily updates of their adventures while we were away. Highly recommend and would use her again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Longwood
Abigail is AMAZING! Our pup is a mini poodle and just over one year old. He was recently adopted (3 months ago) and very nervous and barky with people he doesn't know. When we met Abigail, he instantly took to her. She made him feel safe and at peace while we went on our 2 day vacation. We are so thankful for Abigail and will book again!!

Jomarie was so amazing! We had to book pretty last minute, but she was so accomodating and kept us updated throughout the trip. We even had some weather delays that changed our plans, and she was more than happy to help us out. The dogs came back healthy and happy. We will definitely be booking with Jomarie again!

This was such a positive experience for both us and our dog! He has never been left with anyone at their house before, and it was the best first experience ever. Carmin was so polite, organize, and communicated with updates. She truly loved our dog and we would recommend over and over again!

This a great sitter for my 2 boys, Carina is a caring, loving sitter and treats your pets as if they are her pets. The boys have a great time over Carina's house, with 3, 4 legged playmates and one that looks like them, but in mini form for now, also a little human that interacts with the boys as they are her puppies, all had a great time! Carina sends pictures of your pet while your away, just looking in their little faces, they are happy and comfortable staying over. I have already booked their next stay there, very pleased with her service.

Christina and her family were absolutely amazing! Pleasure meeting them and immediately felt my St. Bernard was in amazing hands. She’s one of our kids so finding the right person was very important. She came back so happy and healthy and Christina stayed in touch the entire trip. I Can’t recommend enough will definitely be the person I trust going forward.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
