“Omg Carmin proved to be one of Cali's finest sitters. She demonstrated exceptional attentiveness to Cali's needs, going the extra mile to ensure Cali had the best experience. She maintained open communication through texts, addressing questions and concerns, and thoughtfully shared pictures and videos. Grateful for your care, Carmin.”

“I found Paul almost at the last moment…my regular cat sitter wasn’t available but Paul was interested in watching my cat, though he usually watches dogs. It was a short visit but it turned out well for both him and my cat. I would highly recommend Paul for both cats and dogs due to his calm and friendly demeanor.”

“Carla was a great sitter. My girls were cuddled and lived on and very well taken care of. She sent pics and made sure I knew how they were throughout the visit. Xoxo ?”

“Rebecca took great care of our dog, Cookie. Our pup made a new friend in Rebecca’s dog and received great exercise, attention, and care during her boarding stay. Thanks, Rebecca!”

“Ivanka took good care of my pups while I was away. She sent pictures and was very responsive if I reached out to check on them. Understanding of travel delays which was so appreciated. Will definitely trust her again with my pets!”

“So great. Zero loves coming here, he’s been boarded here many times. They respect your rules and boundaries & feeding preferences with your pet and they give him healthy attention.”

“Overall great experience. Quick to respond and took the initiative to send pictures everyday. The home was beautiful and I felt very safe leaving my puppy for a few nights.”

“We go on vacation once a year. In the past we had a family member come stay with out 2 pups but this year they weren't available. I decided to use roover and found Becky. We were very nervous on leaving my 2 girls bc they never stayed away from the house and let alone with someone they didn't know. I can tell you with the constant updates and pitures from Becky it really made our vacation more enjoyable bc we had no worries in the world about our pups being in good hands. Becky really loves your dogs as if they belong to her. She takes really good care of them and her house and yard is set up perfectly for dog sitting. I will be back for sure. I 1000% trust Becky with my 2 fur babies!!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Mary watching our boys. This was the first time they were boarded. She was reassuring when I was worried about them and I knew immediately they were in great hands. They enjoyed playing with her dog. Would use her again in a heartbeat!”

“Maria was absolutely amazing with my dog, Chance! From the start, her communication was excellent—she kept me updated with plenty of pictures and videos, which really put me at ease while I was away. Chance went on tons of walks, got to visit the dog park, and even got spoiled with homemade bone broth pup cups! She also sent him home with treats and toys, which was such a sweet touch. It’s clear she genuinely cares for the dogs she watches. Maria was flexible, reliable, and made the whole experience stress-free. I highly recommend her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“We absolutely LOVE Bruce! He is the only person I will leave my dog with when I go out of town. He is so reliable and is wonderful with the dogs. Kylie had such a fun time visiting with Bruce and the other dogs. Bruce sends pictures throughout the day to keep us updated. I love that he lets my dog curl up on his lap with him. He is great! Highly recommended!”

“I did not think my baby would remember Cheri but she did! She knew exactly where to go when we got neat the door. She was so happy to see her. We knew she was in good hands because she gave her so much love during her last stay and made sure we had updates on her. The pictures and videos were so nice to receive to know she was doing fine. She cared for my dog like someone would a child and I was so impressed and overjoyed that I found Cheri.”

“Kristina has been taking care of our dog for years! Mishka is not an easy animal, but she loves going to Kristina’s home. She requires daily medication and I never worry that Mishka is well attended to. I always get photo updates of Mishka’s stays! Kristina’s home is very dog friendly with a fenced yard and sweet Doberman named Lucy! My dog doesn’t get along with other dogs but she loves Lucy! You will not regret leaving your pet with Kristina!”
“Awesome experience! Definitely made me feel like my baby was in a safe place. Super friendly! Close to the airport so convenient too. They sent updates and pics so I could see how my little girl was doing. Allowed me peace of mind to truly enjoy my vacation without worrying!!!”

“Anne was an Angel. I had a last minute emergency with my 5lb Chorkie. I had to perform a wedding and I left my dog at the hotel and she went crazy. I contacted Anne the day before the wedding and she said no problem. She was pleasant and although my dog was unpleasant Anne was phenomenal. Pleasant and courteous and clean. If I’m ever in Lake Mary again she’s first on the list!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fern Park
We’re so grateful for you and your stellar care, Kevin! It’s always hard to leave town, but I never worry for a second about LeLe when we’re gone. It’s such a weight lifted to know she’s loved and cared for and to receive regular updates along the way. We all smile when we see pictures come through of her adventures and love getting to see which friends she’s getting to hang with. Can’t thank you enough for being there- especially over a holiday weekend!

Amanda was so welcoming and gentle when first meeting them! She’s a very active sitter and that was perfect for my dogs because they LOVE their walks and they love to play. She communicated multiple times throughout the day with pictures and videos and even let us keep a tennis ball! I would absolutely bring them back to her again. They loved their stay!

Maria takes such amazing care of the dogs she looks after. She just watched Nico for us while we took a long summer trip, and we felt so comfortable knowing Nico was with her. She sent us so many photos and videos along with updates on how he’s been and what adventures he got up to that day. I highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
