“I am so impressed. This was my first time allowing anyone, other than family, care for my little man. She was so loving and attentive. Even though he is normally apprehensive to new people her gentle kindness helped him feel comfortable. I would use her again in an instant.”

“She took great care of Nudy while I was away. I really appreciated the detailed updates, photos, and notes after each visit. Nudy looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I could tell she gave him lots of attention. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Emma was absolutely wonderful with my pets! She provided drop-in visits twice a day on the days when my boyfriend or neighbor wasn’t able to be there, and she handled all of their complicated little routines so easily. I was honestly a little nervous about finding someone who could keep up with everything, but Emma was fantastic. Her daily reports were incredibly detailed, and I really appreciated knowing how each visit went and how my pets were doing throughout my trip. She made me feel completely comfortable knowing they were being checked on, cared for, and getting everything they needed while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Emma and would happily book her again! ❤️”

“Zack sent me many pictures of my cats while I was away. The pictures were a reassuring reminder that they were being cared for. Zack was also flexible with small requests like checking for packages which was also reassuring. He was generally very thorough in checking with me beforehand to see that everything I would want done for them was made note of.”

“Peter is wonderful to work with. He has sat our pittie a few times now and is loved by our pup! Peter was on time and this time I forgot to leave instructions out so he confirmed our pups care prior to anything. We will definitely use his services again thank you Peter!”

“Carli was great! She stopped in to visit my kitties and made sure they had all the needed. Very nice personality and excellent communicator. Would definitely recommend her to others and would book her services again in the future if needed!”

“Brooke was so nice and accommodating! I have neuro/memory issues and she was understanding and flexible when I made mistakes. She even left my cat a little gift bag! I’ll absolutely use her again.”

About: I’ve had and cared for dogs and cats since I was 5. In my group of friends and colleagues, I am known as the quintessential animal lover. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my pups and kitties. I have fostered dogs and cats (and I’ve randomly rescued 3 opossums in the last year alone). I’ve taken care of puppies and kittens, medically complicated animals, and incontinent seniors with dementia. I had two senior dogs who passed in the last two years and I’m not ready to have another one just yet but I do miss being around them. Would love to take care of your fur babies 😊 I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule so I can usually accommodate different times for walks, play, etc. If I’m staying in your home overnight, your animals wouldn’t be alone for more than an hour or two at most and even that I can adapt as needed (for puppies, for example). I know each house and pet parent has their own way of doing things. I’ll gladly adapt to what you, your pet and/or your house need.
“So this was my first time trying this after being very reluctant. And i tell you what i couldn't of got a better experience. Never met jessica and was very last min but by the time we got done texting she had a code to my door and couldn't of felt safer. Then the day came when she was coming over and absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. was the best thing i have ever done for my son scout on his lonely weekends that im gone at work all day.”

“Maria was amazing! She went above and beyond while watching my pets. Not only did she take great care of my two dogs, Blueberry and Bentley…. who were both completely comfortable with her….but she also showed so much care for my cat, Sage. She even made a special trip to the store to get canned food when she noticed Sage wasn’t feeling well. Her attention to detail, communication, and genuine love for animals gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I truly appreciate everything she did and will definitely be booking her again. Highly recommend!”

“Aly is so wonderful to work with. When our old pet sitter moved we were devastated. Our girls are precious to us and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to find another sitter that would have the same compassion for them that we could trust. All of my fears went away when we met Aly. She came over for a meet and greet and immediately her calm energy eased all my worries. Our cats are pretty shy with strangers, but when Aly came in and went to greet them they met her with interest and curiosity (and didn’t run away!) They sat calm next to Aly and she patiently let them sniff her until they were comfortable. Talking with Aly, it was clear her love for animals and this type of work. I immediately booked her when we said our goodbyes. During her check ins, Aly is prompt, detailed, and so loving to our girls. I’m so surprised that our shy girl, Pepper, has come out so much for her! She was born right before the covid outbreak and didn’t get much interaction with strangers in our home. Despite that, Aly had some play sessions with Pepper and she even wanted some pets! It makes my little cat mom heart swell with happiness. Needless to say, we’ve found our new favorite pet sitter in Orlando. We can’t wait to become Aly’s regulars. Thank you so much Aly! ☺️💛”

“Christina has been wonderful with our puppy Brodie. We are using her for drop ins. She has been prompt and has been very loving with our boy. I would not hesitate to use her services again or refer friends.”

“She was wonderful took the pups on a busy holiday (thanks!!!) dogs were quick to warm up! even dealt with our stubborn anxious dog who always needs to hide. very attentive and cares for the dogs needs. can’t wait to have her dog sit again thanks!”

“Rebecca does a wonderful job taking care of my kitties when I'm away. I have been using her for three years and really appreciate the fantastic job she does!! I highly recommend her.”

“Cheyenne was sooooo amazing with my dog. I needed someone to take her potty twice in one day and she was GREAT! She sent photos, kept me posted when she got there, and shared details and photos of her visit. We will definitely use Cheyenne again!”

“Absolutely fantastic dog sitter! She took wonderful care of my pups, sending regular updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind. My dogs were very happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved. Highly professional, reliable, and genuinely caring-couldn’t recommend more! Will definitely book again.”

About: I have utmost respect (and lots of love!) for all animals. I truly view them as real friends and equals. With experience, I have also learned how to set and maintain good (and firm - when necessary) boundaries. Dogs have been trusted members of my family since I was a child. I have cared for senior rescue dogs; I have socialized puppies; I have taught reserved dogs new tricks; and I have taught stubborn dogs to sit and wait. I have admittedly less history with cats, but just as much respect and care for them as any other animal. I do currently have one close cat companion (we used to be roommates, and have been best buds ever since). As with all animals, I find that the respect and love I give to the pets I interact with is reciprocated - and often multiplied! As a person who is both adventurous and empathetic, I am generally very well attuned to the health and wellbeing of those around me, and I really enjoy taking dogs for walks almost as much as they do! I also like to play, and I can handle all kinds of doggy games. Big dogs welcome! I am an early riser - morning walks are my favorite! From day to day, I am generally very flexible; I work part-time as an independent handyman (furniture assembly, TV mounting, etc). I can make almost anytime work, as long as we can agree in advance. All requests are welcome! I enjoy long walks (with lots of 30-second stand and sniff breaks). I am both energetic and patient I love to play Always send updates when leaving
“Sarah has been a blessing. My shorti is pre diabetic and I feel less stressed knowing that someone as caring and intentive as Sarah is around. Pictures galore and updates ease my mind when I'm away on travel. Sarah has been wonderful and will keep using her as my needs for work travel increases.”
“Ashlee went above and beyond for our sweet elderly cat. She’s very needy and needs lots of attention which Ashlee did not hesitate to give to her. She did drop by visits and would over communicate should she not be there at the start of the drop in time but always stayed the full hour. Ashlee gave detailed report of her cleaning our cats nose from allergies, clipping her nails and even cleaned up the litter box. She also took the best pictures each visit to show how happy our little lady was. I cannot recommend Ashlee enough.”

Maria is truly the best! Our cat is a diabetic old lady who dislikes more people than she likes. Maria won her over and successfully administered two insulin shots a day. This is an amazing accomplishment since our old girl is feisty and stubborn. Thank you Maria! You are the spicy cat whisperer. 😻

Camryn was amazing!! Camryn was communicative throughout my entire trip and I felt extremely comfortable leaving my girls alone. She took daily pictures and kept me updated as necessary. The entire process from start to finish went smoothly. She took great care of my girls and would love to have her again! I’m so grateful for her and all she did for us. I would absolutely recommend Camryn for your pet needs. Thank you, Camyrn! :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
