“Khristina made Jasper feel some comfortable! It was so wonderful to know he was in such great care while we were traveling! When we picked him up, after he showed us how excited he was to see us, he walked over to Khristina to say bye and it was so touching to see how much he adores her. We could tell he had the best time! Thank you Khristina!”

“Ivanka was great with Leo and Penelope! Ivanka responded quickly with our request for dog sitting in her home and she kept in contact with us regarding our babies stay. Both Leo and Penelope look happy to be home and they also look satisfied after their stay with Ivanka and her two puppies. If you are looking for a dog sitter, look no further than Ivanka! She cared for Leo and Penelope as they were her own puppies. She is dependable and super sweet with our puppies. Thank you for caring for my two little ones! Ivanka is a 5/5 star doggie sitter!”

“Elyscia was awesome! She took my pup on short notice and I’m glad it worked out! I was able to have peace of mind during my vacation knowing my four legged child was being treated like family. Elyscia sent me pictures and updates throughout his stay, took him to the dog park, and even gave him a bath! I picked a happy and exhausted pup up so I know he enjoyed his vacation! I would highly recommend Elyscia to everyone and I will definitely use her again!”

“Christina is an amazing dog Mommy very detailed as far as like their snacks how to heat up the dinner (because yes I have homemade dog food that she heats up for my dog) keeps you posted at least once or twice a day since pictures she's amazing highly recommend it.”

“Jackie took such great care of my dog! I was nervous at first but felt complete ease once I met her. Her communication was excellent. She kept us updated and sent us pictures of our dog. Thank you Jackie! We appreciate you.”

“Cheri was great with Holt. We have never had someone other than our friends watch our dogs over the years. Cheri calmed our nerves at the meet and greet and then sent updates every day, even a few hours after I dropped him off. Holt had a good time and made new friends.”

“Maria was amazing!! :) I would highly recommend her! My dog Charlie is a nervous Cavalier. It was clear that Maria made him feel at ease. Not an easy thing to do. She showered him with attention, took him for walks and kept up me updated with pictures and messages daily.”

“It was our first time having a dog sitter for daisy, and I couldn’t recommend Susann highly enough. Susann and her family took wonderful care of our anxious furbaby. She was understanding and calmed her anxiety as soon as we left daisy in their care. Susann went above and beyond to ensure daisy was comfortable and happy, providing daily updates with pictures. She walked daisy everyday twice along the trails and daisy had a wonderful time! Lots of cuddles and playtime. It was such a comfort knowing she was loved and taken care of. Thankyou for your incredible care and for giving us peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful!”

“Overall great experience. Quick to respond and took the initiative to send pictures everyday. The home was beautiful and I felt very safe leaving my puppy for a few nights.”

“I found Paul almost at the last moment…my regular cat sitter wasn’t available but Paul was interested in watching my cat, though he usually watches dogs. It was a short visit but it turned out well for both him and my cat. I would highly recommend Paul for both cats and dogs due to his calm and friendly demeanor.”

“Our best friend was so well loved and cared for. We received wonderful, reassuring messages and photos that he had settled in well. Thanks for the great care.”

About: I’m new to Rover, but not new to pets. I’ve spent years dog and cat sitting for family, friends, and people from my church while they travel so I’ve basically already been doing this, just without the app. Boarding is where I’m strongest. Whatever you’re away for a weekend trip, a long workweek, a stretch out of town your pet gets a quiet, pet free home and someone who’s actually paying attention to them, not just checking a box. It’s just me and my roommate here, no kids, no chaos, no other pets running around unless we’re talking about yours LOL. But if boarding isn’t what you need, I also do drop in visits and walks. A midday or evening walk for your dog, or a quick morning/night stop to feed and check on your cat while you’re out. My schedule’s flexible (I work fulltime but it’s not a rigid 9-5), so I can usually make mornings, evenings, weekends, whenever your pet needs me. I’m not the type to drop them off with food and a bowl and disappear for the day. I want to actually know their personality by the time you pick them up. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of pretty much every age and energy level, from the zoomies at 6am crowd to older pets who just want someone patient around and a quiet spot to nap. Routines matter to me too if your pet eats at a certain time, walks a certain route, or has a little quirk, I want to know about it and stick to it. I’ll keep you in the loop while I’m with them. Feeding on schedule, medication if they need it, litter box scooped, fresh water, the whole routine handled the way you’d do it yourself. Photo updates too, so you’re never left wondering how things are going. Can’t wait to meet you both and hear what your pet’s routine looks like. My schedule is flexible, so I’m available mornings, evenings, weekends, and throughout the week as needed. I take the time to learn your pet’s personality, preferences, and routine so they can feel as comfortable as possible. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether they’re staying in my home or I’m stopping by yours, I follow their routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I provide a calm, pet free home for boarding and make sure every pet gets plenty of attention and care. I also send photo updates throughout their stay because I’d want the same thing if it were my pet. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in good hands
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Altamonte Springs is $40
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Altamonte Springs
Had an absolute wonderful experience with Kevin. Emmie really enjoyed her stay. I got updates every day multiple times a day. And Kevin was also very understanding when I had car trouble and helped drop her off. I will always book now with Kevin if he is available. The best dog boarder I have had on rover!

Lisa's is a dog lover through and through and loved our dog as if he were her own. Throughout our dog's stay, we received frequent, personal updates about how he was doing, which provided our family with a sense of peace that he was well taken care of. We will be trusting our dogs with Lisa in the future!

Carla took excellent care of our Senior Beagle, Cricket. She sent regular updates and kept meticulous notes of her daily care. We are so thankful to have found a thoughtful caregiver. Our beagle was a rescue and she is extremely stressed if she has to be kenneled. We could tell she was happy and loved while we were away. We would highly recommend Carla as a caregiver and plan to rebook in the future.

I can’t remember now how many times Denys and her sister have taken care of Remi and Roie. They are the best sitters ever. The boys have a very restricted diet and every time they have stayed with Denys they always come happy and healthy. I have tried other sitters due to availability and no one take as good care as Denys. Thanks!

Andrea was a God send! My husband and I did and 8 day roadtrip through yellowstone and Grand Teton. She and her husband kept our maltipoo Joon. Joon made friends with their 2 dogs and had the best time playing the entire time. Andrea sent updates and pictures everyday and I felt so relieved to know she was in such good hands. We will be using her in the future. Highly recommend!

Amanda was so welcoming and gentle when first meeting them! She’s a very active sitter and that was perfect for my dogs because they LOVE their walks and they love to play. She communicated multiple times throughout the day with pictures and videos and even let us keep a tennis ball! I would absolutely bring them back to her again. They loved their stay!

Maria takes such amazing care of the dogs she looks after. She just watched Nico for us while we took a long summer trip, and we felt so comfortable knowing Nico was with her. She sent us so many photos and videos along with updates on how he’s been and what adventures he got up to that day. I highly recommend!

Jonathan was great his wife Jennifer also helped - flexible (our flight was delayed and picked millie up outside the window) but were very accommodating. Got pictures regular which helped us ease the separation ( this was thec1stbtimevwe have ever left her this long) - Appreciated he only managed one dog at a time as millie doesn't do well with others - he too works from home as we do - we didn't want her schedule too changed too much - having great outdoor space was an added bonus. We will definitely be using them again - they are close by so no trouble dropping off/picking up.

Christina and her family were absolutely amazing! Pleasure meeting them and immediately felt my St. Bernard was in amazing hands. She’s one of our kids so finding the right person was very important. She came back so happy and healthy and Christina stayed in touch the entire trip. I Can’t recommend enough will definitely be the person I trust going forward.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
