“Katharine is the absolute BEST! We have never used a service or a stranger before, let alone someone who will be staying in our home for several days with our elderly babies, and I was so nervous. However, as soon as we met Katharine we knew our babies would be in great hands. She is so sweet, kind, and loving. She went above and beyond to keep our pups and kit comfortable and happy. She even played them music everyday! When we got home, they were so happy to see us, but you could tell that they were also looking for her! I will 100% be welcoming our new friend back to our home for future visits and stays for our babies. Thank you so much, Katharine! ❤️❤️”

“Peter was the best! He took perfect care of my pup and went above and beyond. My pup felt safe and happy and he left my home in perfect condition. Would definitely use again.”

“Alexa was great with housesitting my 2 dogs! She is responsible and friendly, arrived on time, and kept me updated throughout her stay with messages and photos. I would definitely trust her to watch my doggos again!”

“Autumn was absolutely phenomenal! She stayed at our house over the Thanksgiving holiday and took incredible care of our two dogs. She sent daily photos and videos, kept them active with walks, and gave them so much love and attention. On top of that, our home was spotless when we returned. We felt completely at ease knowing our pups were in such caring hands. We’ll 100% be using Autumn anytime we go out of town — and the dogs give her all the tail wags! 🐾”

“Lucia was lovely. Very friendly, punctual, and responsible. Also, the cats enjoyed her company. ;) There was a cat left outside in the hallway, and she helped them; that's how kind she is. I highly recommend her.”

“Wonderful house sitter & took terrific care of our cat Oscar. Deborah leapt in to help us on short notice when another Rover sitter bailed the night before she was due to start. My wife and I highly recommend Deborah and would be happy to use her again.”

“Natalie took great care of Lily for 4 drop in visits! She sent me videos and pics and everything was just how I left it when I got home! Will be re booking her in the future….thank you Natalie!”

About: Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’ve had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. I volunteered with a local dog rescue where I fostered many dogs, helping them feel safe, loved, and prepared for their forever homes. Growing up, I also volunteered in both dog and cat shelters, giving me experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve been pet sitting for family and friends since I was little and have also built my own client base through Facebook and other dog walking apps. I truly love animals and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and respect I would give my own, so you can feel confident they’ll be in caring hands. I have a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine! * Monday & Tuesday: I work from home, so I have flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care throughout the day. * Saturday through Tuesday: I’m available for walks and visits at almost any time. * Wednesday through Friday: I work in the office, so morning walks are available around 6:30–7:30 AM, and evening walks or drop-in visits are available starting around 5:30 PM. If your pet has a specific schedule or unique needs, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to see if we can make it work! Safety, Trust & Environment Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and daily routines to keep your pet happy and comfortable in their own home. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Please note that I provide care in clients’ homes only and do not offer boarding in my home.
“Great caring sitter. Everything was perfect. “Walking “Littleman in his stroller was so nice. He loves his “walks”. Everything was so clean and neat. Would use Alicia again and again. Thank you so much.”

“Nathan took excellent care of our dog and cat, making sure to clarify instructions for medications, etc. When our flight was cancelled last minute, he was kind enough to stay another night at very short notice, which we greatly appreciated! He left the house very clean and tidy. We will certainly book him again.”

“Sydnie was very easy to communicate with and reached out with any issues. Our home is as we left it and the animals are in good shape. We thought it would be hard to find a sitter with only 2 weeks notice after our original fell through, but Sydnie was a great match. She literally saved our vacation. Thanks for staying at the house and watching Moose, Sydnie!”
“Zack does an amazing job with my kiddoz; the majority of which are seniors. It’s a relief to have someone you know you can trust and will do an amazing job! Thanks Zack!!”

“Maria was absolutely incredible with our two dogs, Finn and Chai! She went above and beyond—giving them tons of love, exercise, attention, and even handling medications with care. We came home to two very happy pups and a tidy space. She kept us updated the whole time and truly treated them like her own. We can’t recommend her enough and are so grateful to have found someone we trust completely!”

“Sara took amazing care of Prim. My dog had a vacation while I was away and it was very clear that she enjoyed herself. My dog is 14years old so she can't be easy at times but Sara had patience with her and took great care of her. Thank you.”

“Tori stepped in to help with my two dogs at such a crucial point for me. She completely lived up to all of her 5 star reviews. Communication in meeting the dogs, leading up to the stay and during the stay was excellent. She sent pictures and gave me the updates that were so important to me. I will always be grateful to her for helping me out this weekend. Thank you Tori!”
“We had an emergency midway through a weeklong stay and had to come back and leave again. Gwen was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating to the last minute change in plans. So SO grateful to have her and Trevor here in an emergency and to be SO flexible! I never have to worry about the dogs when they are here!”

“Chris was amazing! He took great care of Anubis and kept an eye on our home. We feel comfortable continuing to travel knowing we can leave our pet(s) in reliable hands. Thank you and we look forward to requesting you again!”

About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats since I was a child. My dog passed and since have focused on helping friends, family, and associates care for their beloved pets. I work full time but have a flexible schedule and the ability to work remotely if needed. I am an early riser but also happy to accommodate late night visits and over night stays. I currently do not pet sit in my home but am happy to make as many trips as needed to your location, work from your location during the day, or stay overnight if preferred.

I’m so thankful for Maria and the love she shows my boy! This was her second stay with Archie in our home, and once again, she was absolutely incredible! 💕 Leaving your dog at home with someone else can be stressful, but Maria made the entire experience as easy as possible. She is truly amazing! Throughout my trip, she kept me updated with thoughtful messages, photos, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Archie was happy, comfortable, and showered with love and attention the entire time, and that means the world to me. As if taking such amazing care of Archie wasn’t enough, she also took the time to give my bearded dragon some extra love and attention too. Maria will always be my first choice for pet sitting. If she isn’t available, I would honestly consider changing my travel dates just to have her care for my boy! 💕

Wynn took excellent care of our pets! We have a big fur crew and I get nervous giving the responsibility to someone, but I had peace of mind on my trip which made a world of difference. She Did everything I asked her to do and sent me detailed updates and photos daily. Communication was great and our cats and dogs got plenty of attention. We have already booked her again. She is a 10 star sitter!!

Taylor was incredible! We recently traveled out of the country and we were really nervous about leaving our dog for the first time. From the moment we met Taylor all of our worries went away. She’s super sweet and made us feel really comfortable about leaving our little one. She sent us pictures and videos every day, and our dog loved her. We will definitely use her for all future travels, and would recommend her to anyone in need of a dog sitter. :)
We had an emergency midway through a weeklong stay and had to come back and leave again. Gwen was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating to the last minute change in plans. So SO grateful to have her and Trevor here in an emergency and to be SO flexible! I never have to worry about the dogs when they are here!

Ashlee came out to do a meet and great with our dogs the day I messaged her about a possible over night stay. The day of arrival to see how the dogs acted towards her was greatly appreciated. She sent me more photo updates than I think any other dog sitter we have used before. She also let us know how often they went out and how they did with eating our food. Then she texted later that day to make sure we arrived home and to ask how our dogs were when we arrived home. Very thorough and thoughtful, we would use her again.

Nathan took excellent care of our dog and cat, making sure to clarify instructions for medications, etc. When our flight was cancelled last minute, he was kind enough to stay another night at very short notice, which we greatly appreciated! Sarah watched our high energy Golden Retriever Blitz while we were away for the weekend. We love booking with Sarah because she gives us the peace of mind that Blitz is in the best of hands. We can fully disconnect and relax on vacation knowing Blitz is having a blast with Sarah. Highly recommend!

We could not have been happier with our decision to use Rebecca. She took amazing care of our senior pug, Tater. Her responses were always timely and she was awesome about sharing pictures throughout our time away. This was a great first experience with Rover and we cannot recommend Rebecca enough.

Colleen did an amazing job caring for our 2 cats and house for almost 2 weeks! Also, she kept us updated with photos and messages throughout our trip, which gave us peace of mind. We came home to happy cats and a spotless house. We will definitely be booking with Colleen again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Altamonte Springs on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 3,077 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Altamonte Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Altamonte Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Altamonte Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Altamonte Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Altamonte Springs. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
