The passing of my beloved Birch, a 9-year-old shepherd x border collie mix, in February of 2025, was a turning point in my life. After losing my marketing job in August of 2024, I decided to follow my passion for animals and look for ways to bring in income while focusing on what truly brings me joy. Rover allows me to dedicate nearly unlimited time and flexibility to the care of your cherished fur family—and beyond. With over 15 years of animal care experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with dogs, cats, small critters (like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and ferrets), horses, goats, chickens, and I also specialize in cleaning and caring for aquariums and aquascapes up to 150 gallons. From puppy training and basic manners to providing senior care and managing multi-animal households, I have the skills and knowledge to cater to the unique needs of your pets. I’m experienced in recognizing animal body language, offering wound care, and performing basic grooming tasks such as paw trimming and nail clipping. I offer not only the essentials of pet care but also specialized services, including training, fun outings, and overnight stays (both in your home or mine). I believe in building a strong foundation of trust with your pets, allowing them to feel comfortable and secure in their environment. As a secondary passion, I’m also a baker and offer homemade dog treats by the dozen, as well as fresh food meal prep. For meal prep, I ask that you provide the ingredients, and there is a small additional labor charge for the preparation. I can tailor the meals to your pet's dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring they get exactly what they need to stay happy and healthy. My goal is to treat your pets like my own—with kindness, patience, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. I look forward to meeting your furry, scaly, and feathery companions and providing the loving care they deserve!

Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities, whether they’re in my home or yours. I live in a spacious one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, all on one level—no stairs involved—providing a comfortable and secure environment for your pets. My apartment is located in a complex that is extremely pet-friendly, with designated pet areas and a community that is welcoming to animals. The neighborhood is well-maintained and safe, offering plenty of clean and secure spaces for walks and potty breaks. While my home is cozy, I can only accommodate up to two pets at a time to ensure each one receives the individual attention they deserve. In my home, I maintain a pet-friendly space, free from hazards, and I create a calm and relaxing atmosphere for pets to enjoy. They have plenty of space to move around, whether they prefer to lounge or play. I also ensure close supervision to help your pets feel safe and secure. When staying at your home, I respect your pet’s routines and environment to minimize any stress and ensure consistency. I take the time to familiarize myself with their daily habits, preferences, and any special needs to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for, just like they would in their own home. Whether I’m offering overnight stays, hosting, or daily visits, I’m committed to providing a safe and trustworthy experience for both you and your pets. You’ll receive daily updates to ensure peace of mind, knowing your pets are in good hands.

Sarah watched our 2.5yr old Golden Retriever, Blitz, over this last weekend and she was GREAT! She is very in tune with Blitz and we always feel comfortable going away knowing he is in good hands with Sarah. This is the 2nd time Sarah has watched our nearly 2 year old Golden Retriever, Blitz. She is EXCELLENT and treats Blitz as if he is her own. We are able to relax knowing Blitz is in the best of hands with Sarah, and we are so glad she likes Blitz as much as he likes her!

Schedule
I work part-time with flexible hours, which allows me to offer tailored care for your pets. While I generally do not offer early morning visits on weekdays unless I’m already at your home, I am available starting at 11:30 AM and onward. I have the flexibility to accommodate midday, evening, and overnight care. As I do not currently have pets of my own, I’m able to offer both hosting and overnight stays at your home, either during the week or on specified weekends, ensuring your pet is in a comfortable and familiar environment. I’m happy to work with your schedule to provide the care and attention your pets deserve!
