About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my compassionate, attentive approach and hands-on experience caring for both healthy pets and those with long-term medical needs. I’ve cared for two cats and one dog—one of the cats had ongoing health issues, so I became familiar with administering medications, monitoring behavior closely, and adapting daily routines to meet her needs. That experience taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of consistency in pet care. Currently unemployed and can do whatever whenever. What suits you suits me. I can do whatever needed to fit into your routine. Im open availability. I view pets the same way I view a toddler. If it's to quiet there is something wrong. Your attention should be on them always.

“Jackalyn was amazing!! This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous but she was very attentive and kept me posted throughout the weekend with update and pictures. I am definitely using her again!”

“This was our first time using Rover (or even a dog sitter that we didn’t know) and Caroline did not disappoint! Her communication throughout our 8 day trip was amazing - the almost daily pictures were so appreciated and she was quick to reply to our messages. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve lived with many different animals all my life. I’ve had horses, dogs, cats, hermit crabs. I have always been a major animal lover and will always at some point in my life have an animal of some sort! I’m currently a first time mom and I’m working with my mom part time through the week so she can watch my baby while I get back out working again. I am usually willing to work any time usually in the mornings and afternoons. I usually when I first get to a clients home is take the dog out or empty the litter to get that out of the way. Then I’ll do a walk through incase of any messes, then do medications if needed along with giving food and filling up water. And last but not least have the most time for play time!!
“Alexandra was absolutely amazing!!! Our dog tends to get seperation anxiety and she kept her at ease and happy the entire time we were gone. We received mutiple photos, videos and updates on our pup which kept us worry free. On top of that it was an overnight stay at our house and we came back to it exactly as we left it. 10 out of 10 would recommend and will only be using her as our future sitter 😊”

About: Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’ve had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. I volunteered with a local dog rescue where I fostered many dogs, helping them feel safe, loved, and prepared for their forever homes. Growing up, I also volunteered in both dog and cat shelters, giving me experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve been pet sitting for family and friends since I was little and have also built my own client base through Facebook and other dog walking apps. I truly love animals and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and respect I would give my own, so you can feel confident they’ll be in caring hands. I have a flexible schedule and do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine! * Monday & Tuesday: I work from home, so I have flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care throughout the day. * Saturday through Tuesday: I’m available for walks and visits at almost any time. * Wednesday through Friday: I work in the office, so morning walks are available around 6:30–7:30 AM, and evening walks or drop-in visits are available starting around 5:30 PM. If your pet has a specific schedule or unique needs, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to see if we can make it work! Safety, Trust & Environment Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and daily routines to keep your pet happy and comfortable in their own home. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Please note that I provide care in clients’ homes only and do not offer boarding in my home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Longwood
Our dogs really seemed to love her, and we came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that was in great shape. Ashland took care of our dogs, cat, fish, and plants while we were away, and even did some thoughtful extras like taking out our trash and recycling. We really appreciated knowing our pets and home were well taken care of while we traveled. First time using Rover or non-family member since we all traveled together. Overall, we’re happy and will rebook in the future.
Zack took excellent care of our home, dog, and 2 cats while we were gone for a few days. He provided great photo/video updates and was very communicative and thorough. We definitely felt everyone was safe and well taken care of while we were away. Looking forward to booking with Zack again in the near future!
Here’s a smoother and more polished version that keeps your warmth and sincerity: I want to thank Brandee for taking such great care of Burton during his time with her! She was easy to communicate with, attentive to every detail I asked for, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. Burton absolutely loved her, and he can be very selective about people. This was the longest time I’ve ever been away from him, and all of the pictures and check-ins gave me such a sense of peace while I was gone. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave him!

Maria was amazing!!! I always have felt guilty leaving our pups, but this time it felt like our boy was on vacation as well. Maria spoiled him rotten! 💕 As a rescue, he has some fears, but she loved on him with patience and kindness, and he fell in love with her and trusts her so much. I told her she was a dog whisperer, being able to touch him in situations we normally even can’t. He’s even learning to sit now thanks to Maria! She went above and beyond doing some minor clean up grooming to make O more comfortable. And, to top it all off, I received tons of photos, videos, and updates every day—I loved this so much! I felt so comfortable and would 100% recommend Maria!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Longwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Longwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Longwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
