“Aaron came right on time and spent time to get acquainted with my dog, who is often apprehensive to meet new people. He took her out for some good exercise and was very responsive with communication. Thank you, Aaron!”

About: I’ve always had an unusually strong connection with animals—especially shy or anxious ones. Dogs and cats that are nervous around others tend to warm up to me quickly, often surprising their owners. I grew up with four dogs and have experience reading behavior, giving space when needed, and building trust at the animal’s pace. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality. I don’t have pets of my own right now, which means I can give your pet my full attention and treat them like they’re my own while you’re away. I’m currently working remote and part time, and I frequently walk around the Seward park and Columbia city neighborhoods for exercise. I have plenty of time and ability to fit pet care into my routine. I will be unable to host your pet, but when I am welcomed into a clients home I do my best to respect the peace and harmony of another’s space and I always strive to leave the home in the exact condition in which I found it.
“Lee came through for us last minute and remained flexible with us for walking Luna! Luna had the best time she didn’t even want to come back inside and whined when Lee walked away at drop off. We’re definitely using Lee’s services again! thank you!”

“Clare was wonderful with my shy new rescue dog. She took good gentle care of him and always kept me well-informed of how he was doing -- very important because I was getting to know him too. Thank you Clare!”

“Andre has shown he is reliable when it comes down to taking care of my pup. He shows up on time, sends me a lot of photos and keeps me updated. I always feel comfortable when my puppy is in Andre’s care!”

“Mandy was wonderful with our rescue pup! She was very responsive, helpful, and caring. Our dog was very shy and needed a lot of patience and coaxing to become comfortable with people outside our family. I highly recommend Mandy for dog walking and doggy check-ins.”

About: We have taken care of very independent dogs since we were a young child, Husky, Pitbull, Shiba Inu. Lived previously with a Gendo mix breed who was 9 years old at the time. We are studying for a visual design/web developer - UI/UX position for the past 3 years and have a lot of free time throughout the week. We go on 4 walks, 1 large walk in the morning to Jefferson Community Center and if approved let the dogs walk leash-less if they can follow commands well, have a feeding upon return, take a periodic smaller walk until about dinner time 6pm when we take an additional walk back to Jefferson Community Center but a different route (see the occasional family of bunnies), return for feeding, and before bed a few hours later go on a finale restroom/potty walk.

About: I bred black and chocolate labrador retrievers growing up in Seattle, and trained dogs until I was 15 years old. I started Rover when I lived in Tacoma during graduate school and really enjoyed the time I got to spend with all the dogs. I recently reactivated my account in 2026 since I have weekends and Tuesdays off and would love the opportunity to help you and your dog(s)! If you would like your dog to get outside for walks, run or swim, send me an message! Cheers!
About: **Pet Care Experience** I deeply care for dogs, cats, farm animals, reptiles, and amphibians, especially those who struggle with fear, anxiety, or past traumas. With 25 years of personal caregiving experience and 15 years of dedicated training in animal husbandry, I have devoted my life to understanding and nurturing all kinds of animals, whether they are beloved pets or cherished farm companions. My approach is rooted in modern, scientifically-proven training methods that prioritize positive reinforcement, gentle redirection, and fear-free handling. I am committed to building trust, confidence, and safety in every interaction, and I truly believe in meeting each animal where they are emotionally, honoring their unique pace and individual needs. Above all, my goal is to create a nurturing environment where every interaction is restorative, joyful, and filled with unconditional love and patience. I understand the journey of coming out of your shell, and I strive to provide a calm, safe space where animals can heal, trust, and ultimately thrive. I also have experience caring for senior pets, administering medications, and adapting my care to meet special needs. Whether your animal needs gentle reassurance or playful companionship, I am here to offer compassionate, personalized care that respects and supports their unique journey. Pet care is a significant part of my life, and I have set aside time in my schedule to provide attentive and compassionate care on weekends, Mondays, and Tuesdays. I am available Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For an additional fee, I am also available to work on Wednesdays through Fridays starting after 9:00 a.m. I offer flexibility on weekends if extra care is needed, as well as overnight stays and holiday care upon request. By focusing my care on these specific days, I can give each animal my full attention, patience, and love, ensuring a positive and supportive experience every time we are together. Every pet deserves to feel safe, respected, and comfortable in their environment. Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or in a client's home, I prioritize creating a calm, structured, and positive space tailored to each animal’s needs. In my home, pets enjoy enrichment activities such as lick mats, playtime, and plenty of cuddles throughout the day. I have a fully fenced backyard with 6+ foot tall fences for safe outdoor play and private areas where dogs can rest undisturbed if they need a break from other animals. Every animal is welcome on the couch for snuggles and is encouraged to feel at home. I utilize gentle, positive reinforcement and maintain clear, consistent routines to help pets feel secure. For animals with fear, anxiety, or a history of trauma, I prioritize slow introductions, patience, and fear-free handling to build trust at their own pace. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, ensuring that pets' surroundings remain familiar and stress-free. I follow instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and behavior protocols closely, maintaining consistency and safety. I am also attentive to environmental safety—checking gates, securing leashes, and removing hazards—and I communicate regularly with pet parents to provide peace of mind. My goal is always to provide gentle, reliable care that fosters trust and confidence in both pets and their humans.
About: Hi! I'm Maggie, I'm a Seattle based animal caregiver ✨ I care for a wide range of animals through my volunteer work at two local animal sanctuaries. I'm drawn to the animals that need a little extra patience, whether that's a shy rescue or an anxious baby who needs a calm, predictable routine to feel safe. My background is in operations management, which sounds unrelated, but it means I'm able to follow routines and notice if/when something's off. I communicate proactively so you're never left wondering how your pet is doing and I make sure to give each animal real, individual attention. 💖 I am flexible, prompt, and ready to take care of your furry friend. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! 🥰 Since I know no furry friend is the same, I follow each pet's existing routine as closely as possible. Before any stay or visit I make sure the space is secure and safe and I send regular photo updates so owners aren't left guessing. In my own home I maintain a calm, structured environment, and I apply that same energy in a client's space. I treat every home like it's my own and every pet like they're Ky.
About: Raised with dogs and cats in my own childhood home as well as cared for dogs of neighbors, friends, and family. Experience with all different ages and a variety of breeds. In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming, reading, and crocheting. I do currently work 4 days a week with consistent days off. I’m available Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Also available late evenings (6pm or later) every weeknight depending on location. I treat every pet as if they were my own, paying close attention to behaviors and activity levels to gauge what they may need, as well as bringing in an attentive and loving space for them.
About: *accepting up to 3 night stays at this time* We’ve had dogs as small as a Maltese to as large as a Rottweiler. We’ve had dogs from puppies and have rescued dogs. I also used to volunteer at the local dog shelter as a dog walker. We recently said goodbye to our family dog of 10 years. We love being around pets, but are not ready to have our own yet. We have watched many of our friends dogs and treat them as our own! One of us is home with 2 children every day of the week. If we are pet sitting, we mostly hang around home. We would fit in walks and outside time. Our pets would roam openly in our home and hang out wherever we were. We offer lots of play, pets and walks. With our fenced yard, they could easily run out for a quick potty break as well.
About: I have had dogs, cats and parrots in my home and life since I was 14. I have watched them be born and leave this life. Nursed them when they were sick and played like crazy when it is play time. Everywhere I go they know I love them and that fun is gauguaranteed. I relocated back to Seattle about a year ago now. In my family home that is a dogs paradise. 1/4 acre of fenced yard in Columbia City with a side yard for escapers and little ones. I grew up with a great dane and my last old man was a chewahwah mix and so is my new baby. My Mom also has a puppy husky mix so play time is covered. All dogs are good as far as I am concerned some just need a little more. I know how to be pack leader and they know I mean business. Don't worry about your fur baby with me we will have fun and lots of love and treats. I currently am working on home renovations for my Mom. I am available currently for long term dog sitting, day visits or short term stays. There is a fully fenced yard new last year. If you have a climber we should talk. We eat breakfast and have love time on the bed. I try and keep them on a routine of love and play.
“Mac was great with our high-energy, rambunctious pup. Mac was timely, communicated the right amount and our dog was excited to see him for his walks. Definitely recommend!”

“Andy has been amazing in every way. She gives the best care and is passionate about animals. She’s very trust worthy and i definitely recommend her. We are very lucky we found her.”

“Wendy took care of my dog Banzo over a few months this winter and did a wonderful job. She was super communicative, flexible, warm and thoughtful. I'll definitely be reaching out to her again when we need help with Banzo in the future!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for the same family for the past 5 years as their senior dog passed away and welcomed home a new puppy. I love dogs of all sizes and breeds and have plenty of experience with puppies and have no problem reinforcing any type of training done at home to keep things consistent. Bottom line, I love being with animals and making sure they’re well loved and taken care of while their family is away <3 I have a pretty flexible schedule right now! I’m currently working remotely, but still have time for weeknight stays, drop by visits, walks and full care on the weekends. I don’t plan on watching any pets at my home as it’s not fenced, but I always always keep a close eye on pets when they’re at home or if I’m taking them out for a walk. I have experience crating pets as well for their own safety and comfort.
Beacon Hill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Gabriel has been amazing with Murphy this week! He’s communicative and reliable. Murphy can sometimes be reactive or a little stubborn about walking, but Gabriel handled him so well and was very patient with him. I really appreciated the updates, photos, and extra care during the walks. As I’ve been working long days, I had a last-minute care request and really appreciated that he was able to accommodate it. It gave me peace of mind knowing Murphy was in good hands.
