“Mandy is great with my dogs! She was very patient and had good suggestions for meeting my dog who is reactive to strangers. Showed true care for my pup when I was away.”

“Lee took such great care of my dog! I'm so grateful for her great care, communication, and fabulous pictures! Looking forward to working with her again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs when I was growing up so I am familiar with puppies. I also helped care for multiple dogs for friends and family. I am familiar with administrating medicine, pill and oral syringes. I ensure it is easy and stress free for your fur baby. I love to be outdoors and get my steps so why not have a buddy to tag along! I’ve cared for seniors and always ensure ways for them to remain active whether physically or mentally. I am here not just to be a sitter, but a friend :)! I make it my mission to provide as much time, if not all my time, to your babies. I do have a fluctuating schedule, therefore, I require a couple days in advance for a booking. I do make sure that your pet comes to me, comfortably, first. I want to become a friend to them, not just a sitter who comes in and just leaves as soon as a task is finished. I ensure your home is tidy after play time, if in the home, and/or after meals, etc. I treat your home and fur baby as if it were my own, I understand the importance of feeling secure in allowing a “stranger” into your home and around your baby.

“Ash took amazing care of my 65-lb dog Coco, walking her twice a day during a trip. She handled some big anxiety that cropped up with kindness and and kept me well updated along the way. Thanks for being such a loving support!”

About: I am a former dog-mom looking to host doggos in our home for a reminder of the joys of dog companionship without the long-term commitment. Our 80lb black lab died as an elderly pup a few years ago and it has taken some time for us to be ready to welcome another pup into our home. Our former dog, Maddie, struggled with dog-aggression, leash-reactivity, and general anxiety. I have A LOT of experience with clicker training and positive training methods for managing dog anxiety, stress, and aggression towards other dogs. I'm also experienced in watching for signs of dog stress around kiddos. I have been dog-sitting for friends since we lost our pup and am ready to open my home to the broader world of dogs in need of care. I currently work from home full-time. I transport my son to/from school which takes me out of the home for 40-90 minutes twice/day in the morning and afternoon M-F. I’m occasionally away from the house 4-6 hours on Sat/Sun when a dog is boarding with me— if this is an issue for your dog, please let me know ahead of time so I can plan for that. I have a fenced yard, a partner, and a 8 year old son. Our home would be appropriate for dogs who are comfortable with respectful older kids.
About: I didn’t grow up with pets, but as an adult, being around animals has made me genuinely love and appreciate them. Over the past 2 years, I’ve dog-sat for friends on and off, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and keeping their dogs company while they were away. I’m very active and a big kid at heart, so I’m happy to keep up with energetic dogs who love walks, play, and attention. I’m also patient enough to slow down when a dog needs a gentler pace, quiet time, or extra care. I know every pet has their own personality, so I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your dog’s routine, and keep you updated so you feel comfortable while you’re away. which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and check-ins. I’m mindful about keeping pets safe and comfortable in hot weather, so during the hottest parts of the day I prefer lighter potty breaks, indoor play, or calmer care. When it’s cooler, especially in the evening after the sun goes down, I’m happy to do longer walks, active play, or more exercise for dogs who need it. My goal is to follow your dog’s routine while also paying attention to their comfort, energy level, and safety. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, medication needs if applicable, and any house rules. I’ll make sure your dog gets attention, playtime, exercise, and calm companionship based on their personality and routine. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

“Nancy is great! She is clearly very good with dogs, and I appreciate that she has experience with handling large, leash-reactive dogs. She was very flexible when I requested a last minute walk and even squeezed in a meet and greet to make sure my dog recognized her and felt comfortable. She was communicative and shared pictures and an update on how the walk went. I recommend her and would definitely hire again. Thanks!”

About: Hi all, I have started to travel full-time since graduating college and taking on a variety of remote, freelance, and seasonal positions. 🏠 I am visiting my friends and working at some art events in and around Seattle, and am in search of pet sitting and house sitting positions to take on during my time in town. ✈️ I adore cats and dogs 🐾, have extensive experience caring for cats and kittens of various levels of socialization 🐈, and have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends while working from my laptop. 💻 I’m also a big fan of plants and have had a garden on every balcony of every apartment I’ve ever lived in! 🌱 I work in art, writing, and event production and have a background volunteering in civil legal aid and working in public arts. I’m passionate about community building, and I want to retain strong ties to my community in Bellingham as I begin this explorational chapter of my life. My availability is clearly and accurately visible on my Rover calendar. Thanks so much for your time, and I hope to connect! More about my pet care experience: I have experience with a variety of cats at different levels of socialization, age range (kittens included), and behavior. I’m the go-to person when my friends need a cat sitter (or just cat advice)! I watched my neighbor’s beagle in sixth grade and have experience dog sitting off-and-on ever since; I’m confident with smaller and small-to-medium dogs but have less experience with big dogs. I strive to creative meaningful interactions between pets, their humans, and I; in doing so, I follow through on excellent care—and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with furry friends! I work part-time and sometimes travel for art and event production work, so (as you’ll see in my calendar) my availability fluctuates. On my available days, I’m always free to stop by for both a morning and an evening visit. I am extremely respectful of other peoples’ spaces when I’m visiting, I’m a very tidy person, and I believe in leaving everywhere better than I found it. This extends to pets’ homes during overnight visits!
“Paul was right on time every time. I enjoyed our talk before he took on the job - seemed very experienced. My dogs slept well and got just the right amount of exercise. I highly recommend Paul.”
“Absolutely 5 stars! Always punctual and super communicative with updates and photos. Amazing with our strong dog who needs a confident hand around triggers. Our pup comes home happy and tired every time. We trust Peter completely and can't recommend him enough!”

“Jennifer is wonderful! She took our pup on walks and to the dog park when she sensed she needed some time to run around :) really appreciate her communicativeness!”

“Wendy was great with Dakota! Wendy came over ahead of time to meet Dakota as she is nervous of strangers. Wendy was very patient with getting Dakota to trust her and was great at communicating.”

About: I am an avid dog lover. I've delt with stubborn puppies and energetic dogs. I have experience walking and house sitting dogs, and would love to continue to do so. I can do early and late evenings Monday through Friday. Mornings are a possibility, however, we would just need to communicate times. Weekends I'm unavailable. I have a private balcony and a gate courtyard for play. At client's home, I follow your rules and any instructions required -- this includes for walks as well. I try and provide attention in play, introducing them to new games and areas.

About: I bred black and chocolate labrador retrievers growing up in Seattle, and trained dogs until I was 15 years old. I started Rover when I lived in Tacoma during graduate school and really enjoyed the time I got to spend with all the dogs. I recently reactivated my account in 2026 since I have weekends and Tuesdays off and would love the opportunity to help you and your dog(s)! If you would like your dog to get outside for walks, run or swim, send me an message! Cheers!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Columbia City
Mead did a fantastic job. She easily won over my 5 year old pittie mix and took really good care of her on walks. She was very knowledgeable about dog handling and behavior. She even started to teach my pup a new trick (spin)! Mead was also good with my elderly cat, who warmed up to her quickly. All-around wonderful experience. Thanks, Mead!

Nikki has sat for our dogs many times. She is always very responsible and answers inquiries promptly. She is very warm and friendly. She interacts appropriately with our dogs. One of our dogs has dementia and she gives her medications and takes care of her special needs. We trust her completely with our dogs.

Ariana took such wonderful care of our dog, Leo as our recurring dog walker during the week! We truly would not have been able to be full-time working dog “parents” without this support and we felt safe and calm knowing Ariana would offer Leo the exercise and playtime he needs during the day. We are moving out of the area, otherwise we would have happily continued working with Ariana!
