About: Life has always meant enjoying dog relationships. Dogs visiting here at Twin Spruce Cottage are treated as if they are my own, enjoying a home setting & an attentive human. My initial posting with Rover.com was years ago. At that time circumstances changed so it wasn't until this last summer of 2025, that I happily began to board dogs again. I was raised to understand dog behavior and to be comfortable around all types of dogs. Our last dog was 110 lbs of gorgeous (& alpha) Flatcoated English Retreiver. He passed at 14. Now retired full time, I volunteer with dogs when I have the opportunity. I understand how to identify dog behaviors & work with them. I was a volunteer at a canine rescue program from 2001 through 2016, working both in the facility and fostering dogs who were waiting placement. I am capable of handling all sizes of dogs & willing to adjust to the individual needs of your dog. I have a dog friendly yard and do walks each day to keep them busy. There are comfy, upholstered large dog beds to lounge on and toys for play. I also am available for dog walking near me in Skyway WA. Unfortunately, dogs with special needs or who require medication be given are not accepted. I am retiree who walks daily ~ without my own dog these days. Dog walks are provided in daylight hours and are available by appointment. Schedule availability varies. I have a fenced yard which is dog friendly with room to run, lots of shade trees & some artificial turf developed especially for dogs. When in the house no dogs on furniture or beds but comfy dog beds are waiting. Dog guests who are boarding are walked 45-60 minutes per day which is included in daily rates. Your dog will be the only dog in my care while boarding > unless your family has 2 dogs you wish to board. There is a maximum of 2 dogs in care. Daycare is available. I have dedicated my time to volunteering with animal shelters, fostering dogs, and providing compassionate care to pets with a wide range of personalities and needs. Through my work with rescue organizations, I have gained hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, dogs with stranger anxiety, leash reactivity, and pets that require single-animal homes. I am currently attending school Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During those days, I am unavailable during school hours but can provide care before and after class. I have full availability on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you're looking for overnight house sitting or pet sitting, I am available all seven days of the week. Please note that on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, I will be away from the home between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM while attending school. I'd be happy to discuss your pet's specific needs and schedule to determine if I'm the right fit. I look forward to connecting with you and providing dependable, compassionate care for your pets! Most importantly, I want to assure you that I will adhere to all instructions, rules, and expectations you provide for your pet’s care. While in-home care is often ideal for maintaining a familiar and comfortable environment for your pet, I am also available to provide boarding if needed. I reside in a pet-friendly apartment community that includes a dog wash station and is conveniently located adjacent to a park, offering easy access to outdoor space and exercise. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your preferences and determine the arrangement that best supports your pet’s comfort and well-being.

About: I have always been an animal lover. That early love for animals led to a 15 year career as a zookeeper taking care of all kinds of animals. I was also a veterinary assistant for 3 years. I have experience with (and am comfortable caring for) birds, reptiles, invertebrates, aquatics, and all sorts of mammals. I am comfortable giving medications and subQ fluids if needed. I'm also a confident trainer and more than happy to work on behaviors with your pets. I'm currently a stay at home mom but my little one has started preschool so I have a fair amount of free time during the days. I'm excellent at following directions and will offer your fur baby the highest level of care in your home and on walks. I am happy to feed, change waters, clean litter boxes, and provide play time.

I’ve taken care of cats and dogs ever since I was young. *For housesitting* I can stay there all day and return very early in the morning, but I won’t be able to sleep overnight. Friends and family have relied on me to walk and feed their pets. Personally, I’ve owned and taken care of my own dogs for many years and two rabbits. My two fur babies are a Samoyed and a Lab. They love going to the dog park and to play. There is a park nearby my place. I have a fenced yard where your dogs can run around safely and freely. I can take your pets on long walks for exercise and a good stretch. I’m experienced in administering oral and injectable medicine as well. If needed, please detail the necessary care in your booking. I work from home all day. Your pets will have human supervision throughout the day. I can follow your set schedule for your pets closely.

About: My love for dogs started when I got my childhood dog Daisy, the sweetest lhasa apso in the world! Since then, I’ve taken care of many dogs, from my friends 3 year old golden doodle to my cousins dogs ( a mix of small chihuahuas and big german shepard’s). I love walking and playing with dogs and making sure they’re fed, clean, and comfy! I also have experience taking care of elderly dogs with more regimented and programmed care routines, including administering medicine in the form of pills or injections. During the year, I’m a para-professional sub, so I have summers off! I’m very flexible, weekdays and weekends and would love to spend as much time as I can helping folks take care of their pets while they work or go on summer vacation :) I offer attentive hands on care and make sure pets are taken care of while also making sure the home is taken care of! With a dog and a cat at my house, I know what it takes to make sure they’re taken care of while maintaining a clean and comfortable space!

About: I'm patient, reliable, and love building trust with each pet I meet. All pets get plenty of love, attention, and care while you're away! 🐾 I'm mostly available throughout the weekdays (Mon, Wed, Friday, and Saturdays) anytime frame requested by clients, same day bookings included. Willing to travel long distances. I feed pet according to its diet, I bathe them if clients request, I bond by safely playing with the pet's, also pride myself on keeping their environment clean.

I'm able to stop in for a time to feed and care for or walk your pet, or I can stay at your home if your pet needs more company and support.
