About: My passion for animals has been at the heart of my pet care experience for years. I have dedicated my time to volunteering with animal shelters, fostering dogs, and providing compassionate care to pets with a wide range of personalities and needs. Through my work with rescue organizations, I have gained hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, dogs with stranger anxiety, leash reactivity, and pets that require single-animal homes. I am currently attending school Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During those days, I am unavailable during school hours but can provide care before and after class. I have full availability on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you're looking for overnight house sitting or pet sitting, I am available all seven days of the week. Please note that on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, I will be away from the home between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM while attending school. While in-home care is often ideal for maintaining a familiar and comfortable environment for your pet, I am also available to provide boarding if needed. I reside in a pet-friendly apartment community that includes a dog wash station and is conveniently located adjacent to a park, offering easy access to outdoor space and exercise. About: I’m the person who stops mid-sidewalk to crouch down and say hello to every dog I come across! I was fortunate enough to grow up with dogs, but over time I’ve learned that loving them and understanding them are two very different things. Part of that comes from my sweet girl, Remy, an aussie/border collie mix who's been with me since she was ten weeks old. We are truly the best adventure duo. We're outside constantly: parks, forest walks, swimming, camping (but swimming is her favorite). She's extremely well trained, with a calm, shy demeanor and near perfect recall. I don't say this to brag (maybe a little) but to point out that even now, at ten years old, we’re still learning together. That process taught me that knowing a dog isn’t about affection alone. It’s about paying attention. I bring that same mindset to every one of my friend's and family's dogs that I care for. Each one has their own logic and their own way of moving through the world. Fisher, a golden, craves attention, so when she’s with me we build that into the day. She even has a standing date at a local cider spot. Oakley lives for the water, so that’s where we go. And then there are the subtleties, like how Fisher will dodge you if you walk toward her mid-play, but will come straight to you if you ask for a touch. These aren’t things you pick up from a guidebook. They come from watching closely and adjusting. My goal is always the same. Figure out what makes each dog feel safe, engaged, and understood, and meet them there. There’s almost always someone home. My partner works remotely full-time, and I work from home usually 3 days a week, so your dog gets real company instead of long stretches alone if we're boarding or doing a daycare scenario. Our days have a natural rhythm. Mornings and evenings are when we’re most active, with walks, longer play sessions, and time outside (unless it's the weekend). During the day, dogs can settle, move between spaces, or engage depending on what they need. I offer drop-ins, longer walks, extended play time like hikes, and boarding. I adjust based on each dog’s energy and routine. We live on the ground floor with a fully enclosed private patio (not a yard). Dogs can move freely between inside and out through a mesh door, and I’m often outside working in warmer months. It’s a calm, private, low-stress environment. I have a high-energy dog, so we are ALWAYS outside on walks, at the park, hiking etc. despite not having a proper yard. Remy is an easy housemate. She’s well-trained, focused, and usually more interested in her ball than new arrivals. She can be protective of her toys, which I manage proactively to keep things smooth, and I've never had issues with any other dogs. For boarding, I take dogs up to about 45 lbs to keep the space balanced. Walks and hikes are open to dogs of any size.

As a creative business owner, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care throughout the day. I build my own work hours, which means I can easily fit in walks, drop in visits, and consistent care between projects while still giving each pet my full attention. Pet care is a wonderful balance to my creative work, it gets me outdoors, keeps me active, and gives me the opportunity to spend time with animals, something I genuinely enjoy. Because I manage my own schedule, I'm able to be dependable, communicative, and accommodate a variety of routines whenever possible. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or taking them on a walk, I'll follow your instructions closely to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I know that pets thrive on familiarity, so I pay attention to their feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications (if needed), and any special preferences or quirks. I always prioritize safe leash handling, secure entrances and exits, and awareness of our surroundings during walks. In your home, I'll treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own, keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as you left it. I also believe communication is key. About: Since 2009 I've been providing solo leash walks for dogs up to 50lbs, drop-in visits for cats and overnight pet sitting in Seward Park, Columbia City, Lakewood, Mt. Baker, Leschi & Pritchard Beach. I'm insured through Pet Sitters Associates LLC as well as Rover and I’m certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. Also experienced in administering insulin injections, subq fluids, tube feedings, pills, ear and eye meds. I have experience with a wide range of pets besides cats and dogs; birds, fish, rabbits, chickens, ducks and turkeys. Whatever yours is rest assured they will be well-taken care of, loved & spoiled in your absence. I'm retired and single so I will have plenty of time to spend with them. On overnights I'm usually there until 9 or 10 Am unless I have other pets to visit. I'll be back by dinner time and there for the rest of the evening unless I have evening drop-in visits to make. I follow your rules in your home on visits and overnights. With your approval I use flower essences when necessary to help anxious or shy pets relax. Since I'm retired I have plenty of time mornings and evenings for drop-in visits. Mid-days Monday thru Friday I walk dogs from 11-3. I can manage most time frames you need. I take my time letting the pet get used to my presence. I always bring treats for dogs or toys for cats to ease the process. I carry gentle leader harnesses for dogs who are pullers to help bring them to heel and make the walk comfortable for both of us.

During house sits I have a quiet routine and would spend most of my time sitting with your pet doing my quiet activities aside from playtime and long walks. I leave your home cleaner than I found it, practicing ‘leave no trace’. I currently focus on pursuing interests via reading, writing, cooking, painting, and creating botanical perfumes and essential oil blends for friends and family. Playing with my 4 leggeds at home and caring for your beloved pets balances exercise and playful engagement with my solo activities. I am reliable, communicate with words and photos, and will get to know your pet very well. I like to focus on your pets’ needs and spread my time around their care.
