About: Hi! I'm Dan, and I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up around dogs and other pets, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Friends and neighbors have trusted me with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I've also cared for cats. I would describe myself as calm, patient, and confident. I believe animals feel most comfortable when they know they're safe, understood, and not rushed. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing in the yard, or simply relaxing nearby, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so weekdays are best suited for pets that are comfortable being home during the workday. However, my workplace is close to home, which allows me to stop by around midday for a potty break, a walk, or some extra attention if needed. My evenings are free for walks and playtime. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and can dedicate much more time to your pet, whether that's longer walks, outdoor adventures, or simply relaxing together at home. Your pet will stay in my home with a large, fully fenced backyard. I also live close to a beautiful park. I'll treat your dog or cat like my own and keep you updated with photos and messages.

About: I didn’t grow up with pets, but as an adult, being around animals has made me genuinely love and appreciate them. Over the past 2 years, I’ve dog-sat for friends on and off, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and keeping their dogs company while they were away. I’m very active and a big kid at heart, so I’m happy to keep up with energetic dogs who love walks, play, and attention. I’m also patient enough to slow down when a dog needs a gentler pace, quiet time, or extra care. I know every pet has their own personality, so I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your dog’s routine, and keep you updated so you feel comfortable while you’re away. which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and check-ins. I’m mindful about keeping pets safe and comfortable in hot weather, so during the hottest parts of the day I prefer lighter potty breaks, indoor play, or calmer care. When it’s cooler, especially in the evening after the sun goes down, I’m happy to do longer walks, active play, or more exercise for dogs who need it. My goal is to follow your dog’s routine while also paying attention to their comfort, energy level, and safety. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, medication needs if applicable, and any house rules. I’ll make sure your dog gets attention, playtime, exercise, and calm companionship based on their personality and routine. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

More about my pet care experience: I have experience with a variety of cats at different levels of socialization, age range (kittens included), and behavior. I’m the go-to person when my friends need a cat sitter (or just cat advice)! I watched my neighbor’s beagle in sixth grade and have experience dog sitting off-and-on ever since; I’m confident with smaller and small-to-medium dogs but have less experience with big dogs. I strive to creative meaningful interactions between pets, their humans, and I; in doing so, I follow through on excellent care—and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with furry friends! I work part-time and sometimes travel for art and event production work, so (as you’ll see in my calendar) my availability fluctuates. On my available days, I’m always free to stop by for both a morning and an evening visit. I am extremely respectful of other peoples’ spaces when I’m visiting, I’m a very tidy person, and I believe in leaving everywhere better than I found it. About: I’ve had dogs when I was growing up so I am familiar with puppies. I also helped care for multiple dogs for friends and family. I am familiar with administrating medicine, pill and oral syringes. I ensure it is easy and stress free for your fur baby. I love to be outdoors and get my steps so why not have a buddy to tag along! I’ve cared for seniors and always ensure ways for them to remain active whether physically or mentally. I am here not just to be a sitter, but a friend :)! I make it my mission to provide as much time, if not all my time, to your babies. I do have a fluctuating schedule, therefore, I require a couple days in advance for a booking. I do make sure that your pet comes to me, comfortably, first. I want to become a friend to them, not just a sitter who comes in and just leaves as soon as a task is finished. I ensure your home is tidy after play time, if in the home, and/or after meals, etc. I treat your home and fur baby as if it were my own, I understand the importance of feeling secure in allowing a “stranger” into your home and around your baby.

About: Since 2009 I've been providing solo leash walks for dogs up to 50lbs, drop-in visits for cats and overnight pet sitting in Seward Park, Columbia City, Lakewood, Mt. Baker, Leschi & Pritchard Beach. I'm insured through Pet Sitters Associates LLC as well as Rover and I’m certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. Also experienced in administering insulin injections, subq fluids, tube feedings, pills, ear and eye meds. I have experience with a wide range of pets besides cats and dogs; birds, fish, rabbits, chickens, ducks and turkeys. Whatever yours is rest assured they will be well-taken care of, loved & spoiled in your absence. I'm retired and single so I will have plenty of time to spend with them. On overnights I'm usually there until 9 or 10 Am unless I have other pets to visit. I'll be back by dinner time and there for the rest of the evening unless I have evening drop-in visits to make. I follow your rules in your home on visits and overnights. With your approval I use flower essences when necessary to help anxious or shy pets relax. Since I'm retired I have plenty of time mornings and evenings for drop-in visits. Mid-days Monday thru Friday I walk dogs from 11-3. I can manage most time frames you need. I take my time letting the pet get used to my presence. I always bring treats for dogs or toys for cats to ease the process. I carry gentle leader harnesses for dogs who are pullers to help bring them to heel and make the walk comfortable for both of us.
