I’ve lived with dogs (thanks to dog-loving roommates and family) and I’ve dog-sat for friends for many years. I’m an expert cuddler, feeder, walker, and all-around caretaker. About: Most people call me Josh. Dogs have always been my favorite animal and I've lived with them for most of my life. I am recently dog-free and I miss having dog energy in my house. I've raised two dogs through basic obedience to adulthood, one with a class, and one largely on my own. I am personally a big believer in the methods described in The Art of Raising a Puppy, because I have had excellent results with their techniques, but will of course prioritize whatever approach is preferred by owners. I am happy to help reinforce any basic obedience your dog may be working on, as well as senior dogs. I am comfortable with a wide range of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Highly reactive dogs are not my favorite, but "highly reactive" can be subjective, so I will consider such dogs on a case by case basis. I am happy to work with dogs of varying activity levels, but extremely high-activity dogs will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. I am currently working from home and am available for dropoff in-home daycare most weekdays and dog boarding (including weekends). My schedule for my dog was three walks a day (morning, afternoon/dinnertime, bedtime) so that is what I'm used to, but I am happy to work with clients to discuss their routine and work with them to agree on an experience that fits their and their dog's needs. I currently have no other animals in my home, so your dog will get my full attention as needed. I don't have a fenced yard, but I am in a residential neighborhood with a good-sized park a block away. I am reasonably close to Seward Park and the Genesee dog park as well.

About: Hello! I have been dog and cat sitting for at least 20 years and have several active clients in Seattle currently. I have previously worked for a dog walking and sitting business in Maryland. I have cared for puppies from 6 months through to senior, special needs pups. While no one enjoys it, I am comfortable giving pills, injections, and other medications to both cats and dogs. In my dog walking business I have walked up to four pups at the same time. I love to go on long walks, even in the rain and wind, and can throw a ball for hours! I will take care of your home and your pup with the utmost respect and love. I am a home owner with two kitties and a toddler. We are working on getting them all comfortable with dogs but for the time being we can only subject them to guests for 4 days in a row max (or they may never forgive us). While I haven't found the perfect pup for my life yet, I am very excited to be able to share my house with dogs of all ages for short stints while I'm searching. I work from home and can let pups out to go to the bathroom as needed. I love a lunch walk to get me ready for the afternoon. I have a fenced yard and a patch of grass for regular bathroom breaks. After 26 years in a demanding career, I’m retired from the proverbial hamster wheel and making dogs my fulltime job. ~ I have a soft spot for seniors and have over six years of experience supporting senior dogs, including those with anxiety, medical needs, and histories of abuse and neglect. Three of my five dogs have been deaf. I’m comfortable with medication routines, gentle handling, and reading subtle body language cues. ~ I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds and temperaments as a volunteer dog walker with Colorado Humane and Longmont Humane Society. ~ I hold the Dog Trainer Comprehensive Certificate from Karen Pryor Academy. While I don’t offer training services, I use positive reinforcement and value providing fear‑free, confidence‑building experiences. About: I’m the person who stops mid-sidewalk to crouch down and say hello to every dog I come across! I was fortunate enough to grow up with dogs, but over time I’ve learned that loving them and understanding them are two very different things. Part of that comes from my sweet girl, Remy, an aussie/border collie mix who's been with me since she was ten weeks old. We are truly the best adventure duo. We're outside constantly: parks, forest walks, swimming, camping (but swimming is her favorite). She's extremely well trained, with a calm, shy demeanor and near perfect recall. I don't say this to brag (maybe a little) but to point out that even now, at ten years old, we’re still learning together. That process taught me that knowing a dog isn’t about affection alone. It’s about paying attention. I bring that same mindset to every one of my friend's and family's dogs that I care for. Each one has their own logic and their own way of moving through the world. Fisher, a golden, craves attention, so when she’s with me we build that into the day. She even has a standing date at a local cider spot. Oakley lives for the water, so that’s where we go. And then there are the subtleties, like how Fisher will dodge you if you walk toward her mid-play, but will come straight to you if you ask for a touch. These aren’t things you pick up from a guidebook. They come from watching closely and adjusting. My goal is always the same. Figure out what makes each dog feel safe, engaged, and understood, and meet them there. There’s almost always someone home. My partner works remotely full-time, and I work from home usually 3 days a week, so your dog gets real company instead of long stretches alone if we're boarding or doing a daycare scenario. Our days have a natural rhythm. Mornings and evenings are when we’re most active, with walks, longer play sessions, and time outside (unless it's the weekend). During the day, dogs can settle, move between spaces, or engage depending on what they need. I offer drop-ins, longer walks, extended play time like hikes, and boarding. I adjust based on each dog’s energy and routine. We live on the ground floor with a fully enclosed private patio (not a yard). Dogs can move freely between inside and out through a mesh door, and I’m often outside working in warmer months. It’s a calm, private, low-stress environment. I have a high-energy dog, so we are ALWAYS outside on walks, at the park, hiking etc. despite not having a proper yard. Remy is an easy housemate. She’s well-trained, focused, and usually more interested in her ball than new arrivals. She can be protective of her toys, which I manage proactively to keep things smooth, and I've never had issues with any other dogs. For boarding, I take dogs up to about 45 lbs to keep the space balanced. Walks and hikes are open to dogs of any size.

About: I've been a pet owner since I was 2 years old and have taken care of rabbits, cats, dogs, rats, and fish over the years. I then became a professional dog walker for a couple years in my 20s and am certified in pet CPR. Currently, I am mom to a rescue 7 yr old Chorgi (Chihuahua+Corgi) who is the sweetest girl in the world. I'm an author so I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I prefer days over evenings but am generally available for any timeframe. I have a fully fenced in yard that is about a quarter of an acre and my sweet 20lb pup who gets along with everyone (adults, children, cats, and dogs alike). I live alone in the basement apartment of a larger house and have full use of the yard. I would need to bring my dog with me if I do any overnights at clients' homes.

About: I am a non-smoking, animal loving, trustworthy pet professional. I understand the importance of having someone reliable and dependable to look after your furry family. I am a social worker and I would absolutely love to care for your pet(s) to bring some extra paw-sitivity into my days. I personally have had dogs and cats throughout my life. I currently have a mini goldendoodle named Storm (she truly is such a storm!) and two cats named Olive and Basil. I have watched and cared for dogs of varying breeds and sizes from as small as a chihuahua to as big as a great dane. I am very active and would love to take your furry friends outdoors for a walk and/or play both indoor or outdoors depending on your preferences. I follow instructions well, and any special physical or dietary restrictions your pet(s) may have are not an issue for me. I am super flexible on ways to care for your pets! My dog Storm loves to play both inside with her toys and outside with walks/runs and going to the dog park to socialize. For my cats, they love their scratch matts. Basil loves playing with a laser and Olive loves playing with any type of string! I always pickup after Storm goes to the bathroom outside and scoop the litterbox 1-2x daily here at home. I am also familiar with giving dogs and cats prescribed medications as well ranging from oral medications, to ear cleaning and ear drops, and topical medications. About: I’ve watched paralyzed dogs, trained my own rescue Rottweiler, cared for injured animals recovering from surgery, and built trust through social issues like anxiety, reactivity and biting. I love dogs and believe any behavioral issues are signs of stress or bad treatment. “There are no bad dogs, only bad humans.” A dog needs to build up trust and structure to be their best selves. And I know how hard it is to find a dog sitter trained in behavioral issues. That’s why I’m offering services. I can read body language, understand appeasement behaviors, signs of stress, and know how to work with your dog on training routines. If you rescued an animal, or haven’t given up on one that has issues, you deserve a sitter who can see their potential too. I work from home with flexible hours, so I do this work on the side. I’m in grad school Monday and Thursday nights, but can walk, feed, and play with your pets throughout the day. I will keep my schedule updated so you can reliably book with me. Animals I board must be crate trained. My house has two levels, so animals are kept separate and safe with care throughout the day. My dog stays upstairs while boarded animals are in a temperature controlled first level bedroom. They will not interact. This does mean your animal will sleep alone in a bedroom they’re not familiar with, so please take that into account. Also, I live near a fire truck route in North Beacon Hill so there will be traffic noise.
