“Laila, fit us in at the last minute and was absolutely wonderful! My chihuahua is a bit much for a lot of people and he has a very strong bond to me. He liked Laila right away and I was able to leave him with a peaceful heart. She sent me so many pictures and videos that I never had to wonder if he was being cared for and happy. She showed me without me ever having to ask. I have never picked him up from a sitter when he did not run to me and jump in the car ready to go home. But, when Laila brought him outside to go home he wanted to go on their usual walk and was genuinely sad to leave. 11 out of ten! He is so calm and happy I’m so glad Laila was able to watch him for me this weekend!”

This was very considerate and showed a lot of respect for Luca’s norms :) Luca got lots of love, lots of walks, and lots of space to roam during his stay! We would bring Luca back to stay with them in a heartbeat! She has gone above & beyond including this last time when I sent a late night message to her to see if she could quickly go over to our house to rescue our new baby corn snake that the cats had broken in to the room it was kept in and broken the screen top of the habitat bout and the snake had found its way downstairs & the cats were trying to play with. ( I’d unexpectedly gotten a lot of motion notices and when I checked I saw the snake on our camera with the two cats circling it!) Anais rushed over found the snake 🐍 hiding from the cats and returned it to its home, secured the snake in its habitat and made sure the cats couldn’t get back in the room and let the snake out again.”

(Additional note: I’m happy to board larger dogs, as long as they’re older and super mellow. About: Most people call me Josh. Dogs have always been my favorite animal and I've lived with them for most of my life. I am recently dog-free and I miss having dog energy in my house. I've raised two dogs through basic obedience to adulthood, one with a class, and one largely on my own. I am personally a big believer in the methods described in The Art of Raising a Puppy, because I have had excellent results with their techniques, but will of course prioritize whatever approach is preferred by owners. I am happy to help reinforce any basic obedience your dog may be working on, as well as senior dogs. I am comfortable with a wide range of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Highly reactive dogs are not my favorite, but "highly reactive" can be subjective, so I will consider such dogs on a case by case basis. I am happy to work with dogs of varying activity levels, but extremely high-activity dogs will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. I am currently working from home and am available for dropoff in-home daycare most weekdays and dog boarding (including weekends). My schedule for my dog was three walks a day (morning, afternoon/dinnertime, bedtime) so that is what I'm used to, but I am happy to work with clients to discuss their routine and work with them to agree on an experience that fits their and their dog's needs. I currently have no other animals in my home, so your dog will get my full attention as needed. I don't have a fenced yard, but I am in a residential neighborhood with a good-sized park a block away. I am reasonably close to Seward Park and the Genesee dog park as well.

“When I realized as I arrived that the girls trip was at an apartment and not a home, Carlos and Kelly legitimately saved the day. I was worried about my pup being overwhelmed with the noises of everyday life in a building while we were away on outings. About: I have been taking care of dogs for the last 5 years, with a variety of small Shih Tzus and a Golden Retriever for my uncle. I really want to get started in the pet sitting business. Your pets will have 100% of my attention as this is my gap year before law school and I have a lot of free time to help take care of fur babies. About: I've been a pet owner since I was 2 years old and have taken care of rabbits, cats, dogs, rats, and fish over the years. I then became a professional dog walker for a couple years in my 20s and am certified in pet CPR. Currently, I am mom to a rescue 7 yr old Chorgi (Chihuahua+Corgi) who is the sweetest girl in the world. I'm an author so I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I prefer days over evenings but am generally available for any timeframe. I have a fully fenced in yard that is about a quarter of an acre and my sweet 20lb pup who gets along with everyone (adults, children, cats, and dogs alike). I live alone in the basement apartment of a larger house and have full use of the yard. I would need to bring my dog with me if I do any overnights at clients' homes.
About: I am a non-smoking, animal loving, trustworthy pet professional. I understand the importance of having someone reliable and dependable to look after your furry family. I have a master’s degree and clinical license in social work. I would absolutely love to care for your pet(s) to bring some extra paw-sitivity into my days. I personally have had dogs and cats throughout my life. I currently have a mini goldendoodle named Storm (she truly is such a storm!) and two cats named Olive and Basil. I have watched and cared for dogs of varying breeds and sizes from as small as a chihuahua to as big as a great dane. I am very active and would love to take your furry friends outdoors for a walk and/or play both indoor or outdoors depending on your preferences. I follow instructions well, and any special physical or dietary restrictions your pet(s) may have are not an issue for me. Just keep me informed and I will do my absolute best to provide the care your pet family needs. I currently have full availability. I just recently moved to Washington State and am in the process of searching and applying for employment. As I mentioned before, I am a clinical social worker. I just recently passed my clinical exam and am in a waiting period for the department of health to make my license fully active. I would love to fill my time with caring for animals! I am super flexible on ways to care for your pets! My dog Storm loves to play both inside with her toys and outside with walks/runs and going to the dog park to socialize. For my cats, they love their scratch matts. Basil loves playing with a laser and Olive loves playing with any type of string! I always pickup after Storm goes to the bathroom outside and scoop the litterbox 1-2x daily here at home. I am also familiar with giving dogs and cats prescribed medications as well ranging from oral medications, to ear cleaning and ear drops, and topical medications. About: Since 2009 I've been providing solo leash walks for dogs up to 50lbs, drop-in visits for cats and overnight pet sitting in Seward Park, Columbia City, Lakewood, Mt. Baker, Leschi & Pritchard Beach. I'm insured through Pet Sitters Associates LLC as well as Rover and I’m certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. Also experienced in administering insulin injections, subq fluids, tube feedings, pills, ear and eye meds. I have experience with a wide range of pets besides cats and dogs; birds, fish, rabbits, chickens, ducks and turkeys. Whatever yours is rest assured they will be well-taken care of, loved & spoiled in your absence. I'm retired and single so I will have plenty of time to spend with them. On overnights I'm usually there until 9 or 10 Am unless I have other pets to visit. I'll be back by dinner time and there for the rest of the evening unless I have evening drop-in visits to make. I follow your rules in your home on visits and overnights. With your approval I use flower essences when necessary to help anxious or shy pets relax. Since I'm retired I have plenty of time mornings and evenings for drop-in visits. Mid-days Monday thru Friday I walk dogs from 11-3. I can manage most time frames you need. I take my time letting the pet get used to my presence. I always bring treats for dogs or toys for cats to ease the process. I carry gentle leader harnesses for dogs who are pullers to help bring them to heel and make the walk comfortable for both of us.

When I mentioned that Luca likes to look out windows during the day, they made efforts to ensure that he could do just that at their house :) Another thing I appreciated was how much info they asked upfront in our meet and greet in order to meet all of Luca’s needs and understand the manners/rules he follows when he’s at home (e.g. no table food, sitting & waiting before taking his food). This was very considerate and showed a lot of respect for Luca’s norms :) Luca got lots of love, lots of walks, and lots of space to roam during his stay! We would bring Luca back to stay with them in a heartbeat!
