“Kris is absolutely the best cat and house sitter and we have had her stay multiple times. She is attentive to our cat Camano, and makes sure all is good with him the house, mail, etc. We always get lots of great pictures and check ins on how our cat is doing. This gives us such good piece of mind to be able to go on vacation and enjoy ourselves, knowing she will take awesome care of our cat and home! Highly recommend! Thank you so much Kris!”

“She was great! We have 3 big dogs and she knew how to interact with them, even our more difficult to handle one. She sent pictures and kept us up-to-date which was so nice.”

“Jayce instantly had a connection with our girls and a calming effect on both of them. Such a relief having someone dependable to watch them, in our home, while we are out of town. I fully recommend Jayce.”

“Taj is GREAT! She stayed with Kenny for a long weekend and I can tell he was happy and well cared for. The house was spotless too! She was super communicative and sent photos of him throughout the weekend. I will definitely hire Taj again!”

“We have a lot of animals and rarely go on vacation since it requires overnight care. Mandy was the perfect choice for our menagerie which includes dogs, a lizard, and rabbits. We were away for 10 days. She was thorough in gathering all the details of care before we left, communicated regularly with photos and reports on the animals during our trip, and left our home spotless and our animals happy. In fact, I am not sure the dogs even missed us. I highly recommend this calm, thoughtful animal and home caretaker. We will certainly use her services again. Thanks Mandy!”

About: I grew up with dogs who I was responsible to care for, as well as pet sitting for neighbors and family member's cats and dogs. As an adult I've lived with a roommate and their cat, who I frequently cared for as my roommates traveled out of town frequently. Next I lived with other roommates and their dogs. As I was working from home, I helped a lot with their care. One dog is very nervous and needs a lot of support and reassurance- I am a naturally a very calm person and good at easing and calming animals. The other dog has had some health issues and required medication schedules as well as closely keeping an eye on his behavior and other indicators of health. I've also done a lot of pet sitting and care for my family, including my aunt's senior dog, and my other aunt's large energetic dogs who love to play. I can easily read cat and dog body language and am very attentive to their moods and needs, as well as maintaining a consistent schedule regarding their food, medication, walks, and cleanliness to reduce their stress levels. I am happy to adjust and meet a pet where they are at! I currently work remotely from home, so I can easily adjust my schedule around the needs of your pet. While house-sitting, I am easily able to work from your home to care for your pet during the day, and stay overnight. I will ask for information about your pet's routine as every pet is different. I am extremely comfortable walking dogs on leashes and harnesses, taking them to dog parks if desired, and playing with them in fenced in fields if you pet likes to play fetch. I understand the importance for some pets of a specific feeding and medication schedule will prioritize that for their well being and happiness. I am also comfortable cleaning up after pets, including daily litter box emptying, and light brushing when needed. I have a calm and gentle disposition a lot of pets appreciate but can also be playful when the pet is energetic. I am quite effective at calming down animals and can read cat and dog body language easily. For some pets, a change in their environment like their owner being gone for a trip can be very stressful but the maintenance of routine in addition to comforting company and attention can relieve that anxiety and keep them happy and thriving until you return!
About: I’m the person who stops mid-sidewalk to crouch down and say hello to every dog I come across! I was fortunate enough to grow up with dogs, but over time I’ve learned that loving them and understanding them are two very different things. Part of that comes from my sweet girl, Remy, an aussie/border collie mix who's been with me since she was ten weeks old. We are truly the best adventure duo. We're outside constantly: parks, forest walks, swimming, camping (but swimming is her favorite). She's extremely well trained, with a calm, shy demeanor and near perfect recall. I don't say this to brag (maybe a little) but to point out that even now, at ten years old, we’re still learning together. That process taught me that knowing a dog isn’t about affection alone. It’s about paying attention. I bring that same mindset to every one of my friend's and family's dogs that I care for. Each one has their own logic and their own way of moving through the world. Fisher, a golden, craves attention, so when she’s with me we build that into the day. She even has a standing date at a local cider spot. Oakley lives for the water, so that’s where we go. And then there are the subtleties, like how Fisher will dodge you if you walk toward her mid-play, but will come straight to you if you ask for a touch. These aren’t things you pick up from a guidebook. They come from watching closely and adjusting. My goal is always the same. Figure out what makes each dog feel safe, engaged, and understood, and meet them there. There’s almost always someone home. My partner works remotely full-time, and I work from home usually 3 days a week, so your dog gets real company instead of long stretches alone if we're boarding or doing a daycare scenario. Our days have a natural rhythm. Mornings and evenings are when we’re most active, with walks, longer play sessions, and time outside (unless it's the weekend). During the day, dogs can settle, move between spaces, or engage depending on what they need. I offer drop-ins, longer walks, extended play time like hikes, and boarding. I adjust based on each dog’s energy and routine. We live on the ground floor with a fully enclosed private patio (not a yard). Dogs can move freely between inside and out through a mesh door, and I’m often outside working in warmer months. It’s a calm, private, low-stress environment. I have a high-energy dog, so we are ALWAYS outside on walks, at the park, hiking etc. despite not having a proper yard. Remy is an easy housemate. She’s well-trained, focused, and usually more interested in her ball than new arrivals. She can be protective of her toys, which I manage proactively to keep things smooth, and I've never had issues with any other dogs. For boarding, I take dogs up to about 45 lbs to keep the space balanced. Walks and hikes are open to dogs of any size.
“Cassandra always takes such good care of our boys! She is communicative and timely. She leaves our home in perfect condition, and she always shows so much patience and love to our family. ♥️”
“Everything was wonderful! Elise went above and beyond cat/house sitting for us. Our house was spotless when we got home, making it much easier to crash after a long trip and not have to worry about anything. Lexi had plenty of lap time while we were gone, so well taken care of with plenty of snuggles!”

“I'm not sure what Talia did but I've been home 2 days and my dogs are still tired and I'm thrilled!!! She took care of my 2 dogs, cat, lizard and fish. She's the best I've ever had!! Even brought in the mail and kept the house clean. I'm pretty sure my dogs want her back very soon and one of them is a 2 yr old Husky who is hard to please!”
“Eric was fabulous! All our pets received great attention. Instructions were followed. He communicated with texts and pictures daily. Our pets and home were well cared for! I’ll definitely hire Eric again!!”

“Justin was a fantastic sitter for our two boys. He played and walked with them often and followed our instructions diligently. He was very communicative and sent us lots of adorable pictures throughout our trip. Would definitely recommend and have him watch our dogs again!”

“2nd overnight dog sitting in our home with Brian. Was again a great experience and would recommend him! Thank you Brian, we will use your services again!”

“Brooke was wonderful! She was able to help me out last minute, arrived on time, and was super sweet and caring with my dog, going out of her way to make her comfortable as she was a little extra skittish since we just moved to a new place. Highly recommend and would love to book with her again in the future. Thanks again, Brooke!!!”

“Lee was so awesome! Fastest response I’ve ever gotten from a Rover sitter for a same-day booking, which was so lovely to have gotten handled quickly. Super flexible, very friendly, and so lovely to work with! Our little couch potato Amelia snoozed almost the whole time, but she really enjoyed having Lee over! We’ll definitely be keeping Lee in mind when we need a sitter or walker in the future! 😊”

“Ashley has once again proved to us why we are repeat customers!!!! We had a hiccup on our vacation which forced us to stay another night. Ashley was more than accommodating by communicating with us and taking care of our four legged family members for one extra night!”

Lynsey is AMAZING! So attentive and intuitive when it comes to caring for my senior girl. Her updates are THE BEST and help me feel more relaxed knowing that my pup and home are in such trustworthy hands. I am so grateful we found Lynsey on Rover. Highly highly recommend her!!

Hong (June) was excellent with my two cats! I have two cats, one who is very attention seeking and loves to cuddle on the couch and one who is more independent. I didn’t expect our independent cat to come out much since she’s usually skiddish around new people, but I got pictures of her daily and seems like she would hangout with June. Our needy cat was also well taken care of and she sent daily updates to let us know how they were doing with several pictures, which was much appreciated it. Our house was left spotless. Would highly recommend her! Will definitely rebook her for our next trip.

Becca was a wonderful sitter for our two dogs! She was responsible, tidy, and kept us well informed with regular updates while we were away. We felt completely comfortable trusting her with the dogs, and she made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well walked throughout her stay. One of our dogs needed daily medication, and Becca handled it perfectly. We’d definitely book Becca again and would happily recommend her!

I cannot recommend Becky enough! She was communicative, even asking before the stay how and how much communication I was looking for while she watched my dog, and so helpful. I have a 60-65lb extremely energetic dog and Becky didn't even flinch when it came to meeting him, handling him for walks, and playing with him. She cared for my dog in a way that immediately gave me peace of mind while traveling and let me focus on what I was doing instead of worrying if my dog was being cared for. It also feels like she left my apartment cleaner than it was when I left which is huge because I'm already a neat & tidy person. A huge important detail to also share is that my dog took to Becky from the initial meet & greet. That's huge because I knew that he'd be in good hands and she genuinely seemed excited to be caring for him and our home. Becky's the real deal and just hope I have enough lead up time to book her for my next trip because I have no doubt that her schedule will fill quickly with how amazingly she cares for your animals. Thank you so much, Becky and neither I, nor Shisa, can wait to see you again!

Leonard was great house sitting and staying with my dog, Buddy. He sent me pics and updated me everyday, sometimes a few times a day. He went above and beyond by going to the post office to forward a piece of mail to my vacation spot that was delivered to my home late. He walked my dog every day and played with him in the yard. I was super nervous about going out of town but he made me feel so comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

Whiskey was well cared for and the communication was awesome! I appreciated all the photos and videos and updates. Since he's a senior dog with medication and more detailed care instructions, we wanted an experienced pet sitter and this team did a great job! We would def. rebook! They also left our home spotless and were flexible on arrival/departure times. Thank you!

Jennifer was great to work with! She sent lots of photos, paid attention to details, and was very tidy (she even washed the dog bowls!). We had to change our travel plans twice and she was kind and flexible with that hassle. We would definitely hope to work with her again.
