Availability
Rover is my full-time gig! I love when parents are a bit flexible with the timing so that I can stack my visits instead of running around sporadically throughout the day. For overnight visits, I might have a couple drop ins or walks in the morning or evening and I occasionally teach some art classes, but otherwise your pet is my priority and most of my time is free to spend with them.

I give each animal personalized attention based on what pet parents are looking for! I really want to hear how you interact with your pet so they can be fully comfortable even when you’re away. I have experience giving various types of medications. If there are any behaviors you’re looking to modify, I’m happy to use my expertise to help come up with a plan to improve those issues. Otherwise, I’m just happy to give your pet lots of love, attention, and exercise!

I’d love to know about the commands you use when walking with your dog so I can continue to reinforce their learning. It’s also helpful to know about any reactivity or particularities your animals might have so I’m not caught by surprise. This allows me to give them the best possible experience!
A typical day
Nothing is better than a nice long walk with with a good dog - and of course all dogs are good dogs! We especially like exploring local parks, where there’s always an opportunity to discover new smells and get out that excess energy. For in home visits, I’m sure to give your pet lots of cuddles and love, paired with some nice play to get out that excess energy.

Pet care experience
Animals have always been a big part of my life! Growing up, I volunteered at a farm where I cared animals of all shapes and sizes. Before becoming a pet sitter full-time, I spent a year and a half working at a dog daycare, learning to manage a room of 35 dogs on my own. This allowed me to work with dogs of all ages and personalities. It taught me a lot about how dogs communicate and how to best train them, as well as basic canine first aid. My current living situation doesn’t allow pets, so I’m always happy to live vicariously through yours, haha! I’m an artist too, so I sometimes create drawings or paintings of the lovely animals I meet! I’ve been working on Rover for over five years now and I’ve met so many wonderful animals in that time – the reviews speak for themselves! I love all animals and would be happy to work with you and fuzzy family members!

Fortunately for me, Ally was available for an extended 2 week stay in booking for us. This being our second time having the pleasure of Ally watching our house, elderly dog, and two mischievous cats. All went smoothly, we came home to the house the way we left it - and three fur-babies who seemed entirely un-bothered by our reappearance. Ally sends lovely end of the day reports and pictures of how things are going. And is easy to communicate with.
