“Mandy was amazing, attentive, and treated our cats like her own animals. One of our cats had a minor injury while we were away and she went above and beyond to make sure he was ok. We WILL be hiring her again. Thank you Mandy!”

“Valerie was awesome and kept me updated with cute pictures and thorough updates on how my cat was doing. Very trustworthy and diligent, I’ll book again when I need cat care!”

“This is my first time leaving Ally a review and I regret not doing this sooner. Ally has periodically watched my cats while I have been away for over three years now. Over this time, her and my cats have built a relationship and it's clear that they love to see her, which means that they are genuinely so happy and well adjusted when I come home from traveling. On a recent trip, one of my cats ate a long piece of string. Ally noticed the issue and informed me immediately. She also took the necessary action to bring him to the emergency vet and went out of her way to ensure that he was properly cared for. Throughout the process, she was easy to communicate with and handled a stressful situation with grace and level-headedness. I felt so grateful to have Ally during this time. She is an incredible sitter and I cannot recommend her enough! At this point, she is basically family to my cats :)”

“Lee was so communicative and sent us lots of updates about our cat when we were out of town! Lee - thank you again for taking such good care of our little guy 😌 you are the best!”

“Maura was fantastic! She was very communicative and I really appreciated her flexibility when my travel plans changed last minute. My cat can get lonely and anxious when I'm gone and she was in such good spirits when I returned. Maura's visits made Juniper feel comfortable and cared for and it was wonderful to know she was in good hands while I was gone. I would definitely recommend Maura!”

“Stephanie was incredible! She took care of our cat Sara so well, including helping with Sara’s medical needs. She was very communicative, always on time, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend her catsitting services!”

About: I’m the person who stops mid-sidewalk to crouch down and say hello to every dog I come across! I was fortunate enough to grow up with dogs, but over time I’ve learned that loving them and understanding them are two very different things. Part of that comes from my sweet girl, Remy, an aussie/border collie mix who's been with me since she was ten weeks old. We are truly the best adventure duo. We're outside constantly: parks, forest walks, swimming, camping (but swimming is her favorite). She's extremely well trained, with a calm, shy demeanor and near perfect recall. I don't say this to brag (maybe a little) but to point out that even now, at ten years old, we’re still learning together. That process taught me that knowing a dog isn’t about affection alone. It’s about paying attention. I bring that same mindset to every one of my friend's and family's dogs that I care for. Each one has their own logic and their own way of moving through the world. Fisher, a golden, craves attention, so when she’s with me we build that into the day. She even has a standing date at a local cider spot. Oakley lives for the water, so that’s where we go. And then there are the subtleties, like how Fisher will dodge you if you walk toward her mid-play, but will come straight to you if you ask for a touch. These aren’t things you pick up from a guidebook. They come from watching closely and adjusting. My goal is always the same. Figure out what makes each dog feel safe, engaged, and understood, and meet them there. There’s almost always someone home. My partner works remotely full-time, and I work from home usually 3 days a week, so your dog gets real company instead of long stretches alone if we're boarding or doing a daycare scenario. Our days have a natural rhythm. Mornings and evenings are when we’re most active, with walks, longer play sessions, and time outside (unless it's the weekend). During the day, dogs can settle, move between spaces, or engage depending on what they need. I offer drop-ins, longer walks, extended play time like hikes, and boarding. I adjust based on each dog’s energy and routine. We live on the ground floor with a fully enclosed private patio (not a yard). Dogs can move freely between inside and out through a mesh door, and I’m often outside working in warmer months. It’s a calm, private, low-stress environment. I have a high-energy dog, so we are ALWAYS outside on walks, at the park, hiking etc. despite not having a proper yard. Remy is an easy housemate. She’s well-trained, focused, and usually more interested in her ball than new arrivals. She can be protective of her toys, which I manage proactively to keep things smooth, and I've never had issues with any other dogs. For boarding, I take dogs up to about 45 lbs to keep the space balanced. Walks and hikes are open to dogs of any size.
“Aaron is reliable. My dog is typically scared around men, but she can clearly tell she is in safe hands with Aaron and trusts him to care for her. I really appreciate the extra effort Aaron makes with my difficult pup.”

“Always feel good about my older dog’s care with she’s with Brandi! She’s slowing down and has some behavior things and Brandi took care to check in about her walking needs and take her on a gentle walk at her own pace. Definitely trust Brandi for my pet care needs!”

“Alexis is wonderful! Great communicator. And of course a great sitter for my timid dog. When she first met him, she gave him space to warm up to her and was able to read his body language to figure out what he needs are. Carter surely loves to see Alexis! He appreciates all the cuddle time and also hanging out in the yard.”

“Jessica was AMAZING! We had to book with her last minute and she was so eager and flexible to help out and was so good to our elderly dog- it provided so much peace of mind while we were away. We will be booking with her again next time we have to be out of town! Truly, thank you so much, Jessica! :)”

About: I have recently lost my 12 year old English bulldog. While I’m not ready for another companion, I am ready to give love to friendly pets. I have experience with special needs dogs, large breeds, and dogs with special medication needs. I am comfortable with dog-aggressive pets as well. I work full time but have a flexible schedule and often work from home. I am available to care for your pet in your home, and mine as well. Looking forward to meeting your pets! I have a clean and pet safe home where your pets are welcome to get on the furniture if they are allowed. I will be happy to use a crate if your animals prefer it, but they are also welcome to roam the house if they won’t destroy furniture. I care for animals as if they were my own, and they will be spoiled when spending time with me.
“Talia is one of those rare people who really understands dogs and their psychology. We have a very challenging dog with some aggression issues and Talia has been great building rapport with her. She is really good at reading her and knowing how to act to keep everything calm and safe. She's also super punctual which we really appreciate. Thanks so much Talia!”

“Emily was fantastic with our boy and would definitely book again! Emily was great at communicating with us and even sent us pictures which was great to be surprised with while at work. Thank you again Emily and you will hear from us again shortly!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beacon Hill
Almost at a loss for what to say because of how far this sitter exceeded my expectations. So incredible with my fur baby, was even teaching him to sit while I was gone. Sent so many pictures and videos and just doted on my cat, gave him so much attention and play time. Also cleaned up the apartment a bit while I was gone which I didn't ask for but super appreciated. Truly the best of the best and so grateful for everything

Sunny is our go-to cat sitter! She takes such amazing care of our cat while we are out of town, and sends the cutest photos and detailed updates at each check in. She even took him on a harnessed walk outside to explore! Thank you Sunny for all the love and care you show Toro every time 🥰

Talia was our first Rover catsitter, and we had a great experience with her––we'll absolutely book her again. She came over for a meet-and-greet before the trip and was friendly, professional and engaged with our cat. During the trip, she sent us sweet photos and spent time socializing with our cat who can be a bit "bitey." Talia even called for our cat when she was outside, and waited for our cat to come back to get some pets and treats.

Gabriel was wonderful! He was very thoughtful about caring for my senior kitty while I was out of town. Provided a detailed note about the visit and several pics. Also, he was very gracious about navigating a bit of poor communication on my part re: timing of visit. I would hire Gabriel again in a heartbeat.

They're both so great. You can tell they're animal people through and through, and I felt like they really cared about my cat. In addition to being great at the logistics (the communication, tasks, scheduling, and handling things that came up), the updates were thorough, the pictures were plentiful, and I simply feel like my grumpy cat was happier for having them as sitters.

Kristina responded promptly to a late request for check ins and was great from the beginning. She was quick to respond and accommodating with times. She even volunteered to come by my house before the check ins began to ensure she understood feeding/medicating instructions. She went above and beyond and was always prompt with pictures and updates during the care period. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Michelle was a fantastic cat sitter for our fur baby Silva! She arranged a meet and greet to get a feel of the set up and our cat’s personality. She is very friendly and accommodating. She checked in with pictures, played with our very social cat, and kept him company while we were away, which means the world to us. Came back to a clean house, clean litter box, water dishes full, and a happy cat! Would definitely recommend Michelle! She is fantastic😊

Akiko is AMAZING so not at all surprised she has so many positive reviews and repeat clients. I’m new to Seattle, and have never had to hire a cat sitter before as I was always fortunate enough to have friends or family help out if I had to travel. I was a bit of a nervous wreck over it, but the minute I met Akiko, I already felt so at ease. And my cats immediately took to her during the meet and greet 💕 They even started to greet her at the front door! Akiko is super fast at responding to messages, punctual, and followed all directions/requests perfectly. She also took so many cute photos of that cats which helped me get through how much I missed them. I also appreciate the notes and updates she made with each visit (I didn’t even notice them until the last day because I’m so new to Rover 😂). I can tell Akiko loves and cares about animals so much and she’s just phenomenal all around. Will definitely be booking her again 💕

Sarah is incredible! She was communicative and asked thoughtful questions from our first meeting. She maintained communication during the visit and sent tons of wonderful photos of our fur babies. We are so grateful that they were so well loved and cared for while we were away. We look forward to having her sit for us again in the future!
