“This was my first time using Rover and I do not take leaving my two feline furbabies behind lightly! Nicole, above and beyond, made me feel comfortable from the get go. During our "meet the cats" visit she sat down and talked through all of the things she would do and how she would communicate. She was open and receptive to some changes I asked about and was really just embodied calm and confidence. There wasn't a moment I worried while away during my 5-day trip and I really (really!) appreciated knowing the times I could expect to hear from her every day (she came over twice a day). Will ask for her help again and in fact am going to send her a message now (meow?) !”

“We brought in Justin to help supplement Morsel's care while away on vacation. He was punctual and very responsive. We would absolutely continue to work with Justin on future trips.”

“This is our second time booking August, and it was a no-brainer. She is thoughtful with our cats, detailed, and highly communicative. It was really nice going on this trip this time and having zero worries about our kitties because I knew August was both capable and thorough. I highly recommend her, and even though we're moving, trying to figure out how to keep working with her. She is great. Thanks so much, August.”

“Kahoney is an absolute animal loving essential. She was so wonderful to my ailing older pup while I was out of town. I’m great full to her for her wonderful care. I couldn’t ask for a better dog friend helper. You’re the best Kahoney!!!”
“Grace was flexible, communicative, and easy to work with. She took such good care of my cat, making sure he had his basic needs met and giving him lots of attention and affection. I highly recommend Grace for your pet-sitting needs!”

“Sabrina was fantastic and I could tell she took excellent care of my kitty. I was nervous as it was my first time leaving her, but Sabrina provided excellent notes, updates, and several photos with every visit. She was extremely communicative, and it was obvious she’s an animal lover at heart! I’m looking forward to my next opportunity to book with her again!!”

“We had Paula look after two cats - of of whom was a special needs kitten - over Christmas! She did a great job updating us and ensuring they were getting extra treats over the holidays, and was communicative about any questions. We came back to our apartment just as we left it, and to happy well fed cats.”

About: Pets have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, big and small, they have genuinely brought so much fullness and joy to my life, and I truly cannot imagine it without them. I have plenty of hands-on experience walking and caring for large dogs, as well as small and medium breeds, so no pup is too big or too energetic for me! I'm also very comfortable with cats. I have one of my own at home who I adore. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a cozy cuddle session, or just someone to check in and make sure they're doing well, I treat every animal like my own. When you book with me, you're not just hiring a sitter. You're trusting a genuine animal lover who will pour the same care and attention into your pet as I do my own. Pet care fits seamlessly into my weekly routine. I am available part-time during weekdays and structure my schedule to make sure every pet in my care gets the time and attention they deserve. I work and study alongside my pet care commitments, so I am always mindful of planning walks, visits, and check-ins around a consistent and reliable routine. I believe animals thrive on predictability, so I make it a priority to show up on time, every time. Whether it is a midday walk or a drop-in visit, you can count on me to be there when I say I will. When it comes to the safety and wellbeing of your pet, I take every detail seriously. Since I provide care in your home, your pet gets to stay in the environment they already know and love, which means less stress and more comfort for them. While in your home, I make sure to maintain a calm and quiet atmosphere, keep a close eye on any potential hazards, and ensure that any interactions with other animals are supervised and handled with care. Every pet has their own personality and boundaries, and I always take the time to respect that. I also believe that open communication is key to building trust with pet owners. Whether you want daily photos and videos, regular check-ins, or just a message if something comes up, I am happy to keep you as informed and involved as you would like. Your peace of mind matters just as much to me as your pet's happiness
About: I've raised and trained 3 champion bloodline boxers from puppyhood through every life stage, so I'm very comfortable with high-energy dogs, giant personalities, structured routines, and the occasional stubborn streak. Today I split my time between consulting work and pet care. One unexpected benefit of leaving the traditional corporate tech grind is that I finally have the flexibility to spend more time doing something I've genuinely enjoyed for years—working with dogs. These days I provide structured walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout Ballard. I also care for pets on another pet care platform, where I've worked with everything from energetic puppies and adolescent chaos agents to shy dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra time to build trust. After years of calendars, conference calls, forecasts, and executive meetings, I've discovered I much prefer helping a nervous dog gain confidence on a walk or convincing a puppy that the mystery object they found on the sidewalk is not, in fact, a snack. The dogs are usually easier to negotiate with. Through the canine grapevine, I've also learned that my official title is apparently "The Liver Treat PEZ Dispenser." I've also spent plenty of time on the owner side of pet care. Between work travel, conferences, and long weekends away, I've personally used kennels, daycare facilities, walkers, and sitters. A lot of what I do today comes from building the kind of reliable, communicative pet care experience I always wished I had available for my own dog. My boxer Mabel serves as the unofficial Director of Backyard Operations. Her duties include squirrel surveillance, neighborhood patrol, welcoming dog friends, and eventually collapsing somewhere dramatic after a hard day of absolutely nothing. I know trusting someone new with your pet can feel stressful. My goal is simple: provide calm, structured, reliable care with plenty of communication, photos, and updates along the way so you can feel confident your dog is safe, understood, and having a great time. Pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. Dogs here get lots of attention, outdoor time, backyard breaks, play, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I’ve almost always had multiple dogs, so different personalities, energy levels, and routines feel pretty normal to me at this point. I do occasionally step out briefly for errands or appointments, so dogs staying here should be comfortable with short periods alone when needed (generally around 30 minutes to 1 hour max). Weekends around here are usually pretty relaxed — backyard time, toy play, projects around the house, and eventually everybody crashing somewhere around the dog suite afterward. I keep things calm, structured, and low-volume both in my home and when caring for pets in a client’s home. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard with direct outdoor access, high-drainage pet turf, and pavers to help keep things clean, safe, and low-mud. Dogs get supervised outdoor time, backyard play, potty breaks, naps, toy play, and their own clean crate setup for downtime when needed. I pay close attention to introductions, body language, energy levels, and overall group compatibility instead of just throwing dogs together and hoping for the best. I currently cap: - daycare at 3 dogs - boarding at 2 dogs For drop-ins and walks, I’m very respectful of people’s homes, routines, and instructions. I’m a homeowner myself, so I take trust, communication, home access, and safety very seriously. My overall approach is attentive, communicative, and low-chaos for both pets and owners.
“Deanna helped with a last minute booking and I so appreciated her help! She came over to meet my dog beforehand and was super sweet with him. She sent great pics and an update from the visit which made feel better about leaving my little guy at home!”

“From our first initial contact I could tell Conner was thorough, attentive, and caring. He asked great questions that a sitter had never asked before. We felt confident that is something terrible were to happen when we were gone, our cats would be in good hands. Our cats seemed to warm up to him quickly which is impressive for them. Conner was also very flexible and understanding about key drop off when our building had an unexpected issue.”

“First time booking with Rover and had a spectacular experience with Ingrid! Super friendly, communicative and went above and beyond grabbing packages from outside and putting them in my house. Thanks a ton, Ingrid! Loki also thanks you :)”

About: I grew up in a house that always had cats and a few dogs. I became addicted to the love, laughs, and mischief they bring, and I have always had a knack for earning the trust of shy and timid animals. Currently, have a sweet and shy, toothless and ruthless senior rescue cat that is my whole world. When I adopted her I spend a month reading Harry Potter allowed to her while she hid under the bed until I gained her trust, love, and devotion. We’ve been a bonded pair ever since. I also am lucky enough to have two fur-nephews (Rosco and Lewis Jr.) that are fully loaded baked potato dogs and I am lucky enough to get to love and care for them on a regular basis. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry little friend for any amount of time, and I would love to be a person you can rely on to show your fur babies love and patience while you’re away. I’m currently entering my first year of graduate school. During the week I am occupied with classes in the morning, and some days stretching into the late afternoon. Most days I am done by 3pm, others I’m done closer to noon. If you’re able to accommodate any flexibility and if afternoon/late afternoon drop ins are within your comfort zone i think I would be a good fit for your needs. My main goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and great at taking direction, so as long as I’m provided with specifications of your animal’s needs (ie. feeding and bathroom habits, favorite toys/treats/activities, as well as transparency about any reactivity triggers) you can rest assured I’m going to give your pet the love, patience, and attention it needs and deserves.
“Myranda has been so helpful in dropping in our girl! We always know she's in good hands and can trust her to get the job done and ask questions as needed. She makes being away from our girl during the long work days a relief. 😊❤️ we look forward to continuing to have her care for our dog!”

“Carissa is great with our goldendoodle. Being a "pandemic puppy" it's nice to have someone come and give her lots of love and attention while we're at work and school. We love the photo updates we get after each visit. Highly recommend Carissa!”

“Rachel is not only very professional and experienced, but also so kind and caring. She takes the time to get to know my dog and understand his individual needs, which really puts my mind at ease. I appreciate their flexibility in scheduling and their consistent communication. Whether it's a last-minute change or a special request, they're always accommodating. I trust them completely with my dog, and it's evident that they have a true passion for animals. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate dog walker!”

Astra was very happy and relaxed when I got home, which is always a good sign! Kimberly did a great job meeting Astra where she was and not pushing her boundaries, and was very accommodating and helpful. Her cards were great updates while I was away, and gave me great peace of mind.

Ingrid was amazing! She contacted us quickly when our cats were having a negative reaction to their new food, and stayed with them until we were sure they were OK. She even cleaned up the pukes and was SO helpful in describing what was going on. 1000% amazing experience!
