“Chip is the best ! I have two large , very energetic dogs. They are not the most well behaved dogs :) He was great with them ! Very caring , loving and attentive . He sent me detailed reports of every visit. We are so glad we found Chip!”

“First time booking with Rover and had a spectacular experience with Ingrid! Super friendly, communicative and went above and beyond grabbing packages from outside and putting them in my house. Thanks a ton, Ingrid! Loki also thanks you :)”

“Another great experience with Allie! She watched our kitty for the second time and took such great care of him during the drop in visits. She always sends the best photos and videos, and has been patient and caring with our quirky cat who has multiple personalities. We will be booking her again next time! Thanks Allie!”

“Would love to continue booking with Sabrina! Her detailed check in notes and lots of pictures show the care in every visit. I know my kitty is getting the attention she needs while I’m away!”

“Conner is such a huge help to have for our special needs dog! We really appreciate his care and attentiveness with her as she has many little things that require extra time and work. From diapering and medications to basics like walks and feeding! Thankful to have Conner around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Paula helped me out in a pinch when my cat needed medication and I had plans to be away for the weekend. Great communication and very capable with a skittish kitty. Highly recommend!”
About: I've raised and trained 3 champion bloodline boxers from puppyhood through every life stage, so I'm very comfortable with high-energy dogs, giant personalities, structured routines, and the occasional stubborn streak. Today I split my time between consulting work and pet care. One unexpected benefit of leaving the traditional corporate tech grind is that I finally have the flexibility to spend more time doing something I've genuinely enjoyed for years—working with dogs. These days I provide structured walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout Ballard. I also care for pets on another pet care platform, where I've worked with everything from energetic puppies and adolescent chaos agents to shy dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra time to build trust. After years of calendars, conference calls, forecasts, and executive meetings, I've discovered I much prefer helping a nervous dog gain confidence on a walk or convincing a puppy that the mystery object they found on the sidewalk is not, in fact, a snack. The dogs are usually easier to negotiate with. Through the canine grapevine, I've also learned that my official title is apparently "The Liver Treat PEZ Dispenser." I've also spent plenty of time on the owner side of pet care. Between work travel, conferences, and long weekends away, I've personally used kennels, daycare facilities, walkers, and sitters. A lot of what I do today comes from building the kind of reliable, communicative pet care experience I always wished I had available for my own dog. My boxer Mabel serves as the unofficial Director of Backyard Operations. Her duties include squirrel surveillance, neighborhood patrol, welcoming dog friends, and eventually collapsing somewhere dramatic after a hard day of absolutely nothing. I know trusting someone new with your pet can feel stressful. My goal is simple: provide calm, structured, reliable care with plenty of communication, photos, and updates along the way so you can feel confident your dog is safe, understood, and having a great time. Pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. Dogs here get lots of attention, outdoor time, backyard breaks, play, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I’ve almost always had multiple dogs, so different personalities, energy levels, and routines feel pretty normal to me at this point. I do occasionally step out briefly for errands or appointments, so dogs staying here should be comfortable with short periods alone when needed (generally around 30 minutes to 1 hour max). Weekends around here are usually pretty relaxed — backyard time, toy play, projects around the house, and eventually everybody crashing somewhere around the dog suite afterward. I keep things calm, structured, and low-volume both in my home and when caring for pets in a client’s home. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard with direct outdoor access, high-drainage pet turf, and pavers to help keep things clean, safe, and low-mud. Dogs get supervised outdoor time, backyard play, potty breaks, naps, toy play, and their own clean crate setup for downtime when needed. I pay close attention to introductions, body language, energy levels, and overall group compatibility instead of just throwing dogs together and hoping for the best. I currently cap: - daycare at 3 dogs - boarding at 2 dogs For drop-ins and walks, I’m very respectful of people’s homes, routines, and instructions. I’m a homeowner myself, so I take trust, communication, home access, and safety very seriously. My overall approach is attentive, communicative, and low-chaos for both pets and owners.
“Carissa does a wonderful job with our puppy and we are so grateful for her help. Excellent communication and updates. Sucia is always so happy after walks with Carissa. We will definitely work with her again!”

“Deanna helped with a last minute booking and I so appreciated her help! She came over to meet my dog beforehand and was super sweet with him. She sent great pics and an update from the visit which made feel better about leaving my little guy at home!”

“August was amazing and took such good care of the kitties! She was able to come on short notice and saved the day! Gave the girls cuddles and went above and beyond in leaving them ready for us. Thank you!!”

“I can tell my cats were well cared for by Hannah as they were comfortable and content upon my return from a trip. Hannah also kept the house clean, taking care of the usual messes left by the cats. I'd happily recommend Hannah and hope to hire her again in the future!”
“Marcia was very friendly and great with our kitten. We were nervous to leave her alone for the first time, but Marcia sent lots of pictures and took a lot of our worry away. Will definitely be contacting her again in the future :)”

Amanda did a wonderful job caring for my two cats while I was out of town! They’re normally quite shy with new people but warmed up to her right away. Her communication was excellent and she sent great photos and updates. I highly recommend her for any cat sitting needs!

We had such a great experience with Victoria, who sat our kitten for a few days when we were out of town. She bonded instantly with our kitten, handled a messy situation very effectively giving her a bath when she needed it, and left the house super clean. Victoria communicated frequently and sent us a lot of great videos and photos. She showered our girl with so much love. We hope to have her again!

Chandler was so communicative, friendly, went above and beyond, and most importantly, so sweet with our boy! She’ll easily be our go to Rover sitter moving forward and we’re so grateful to have found her. A perfect fit and it was clear Benito was over the moon with her. Thank you Chandler!

I feel so, so lucky I found these two on Rover! My cat has been very shy and stressed with new people lately, and they got him out and sniffing and getting pets & treats by their third visit! They sent amazing photos and really comprehensive updates, and leaving him for a couple days turned from something incredibly stressful to feeling relaxed and certain he was in good hands. They even got him to enjoy Churu, which neither I, my roommates, nor his vet have been able to do. They were incredibly professional & friendly and you can just tell that they really love what they do. I would and will absolutely book them again in the future!

Faye is one of our go-to sitters for our two senior kitties. Faye is great at keeping us updated on how they are doing and patient with our cat that has to take meds (and really doesn’t like to take them!). We know our boys are in good hands when Faye is watching them!
