About: I had a dog for 18 years and he recently passed from cancer. While I'd love to get a new dog for myself now, my work life situation makes the ownership of a new dog not realistic at this time. I'd like to house dogs, take them on walks and runs, and earn some pocket change doing so. In addition, walking a dog every day would do me wonders in getting me back in shape, which is something I'm looking forward to. I have a 1 bedroom apartment, large living space and kitchen. I'm happy to accommodate the dogs on my couch, or if needed on my bed. Because of the remote nature of my work, I'm available most days. I work from home most weeks, and can accommodate most dogs at most times. I am a dog lover through and through, having had one for over 17 years. I love taking dogs on walks, relaxing with them, and making sure they're well cared for. I am available most hours of the day, with a few exceptions that the dog owners will be notified of prior to any booking (I teach a lecture Mon-Thurs and work some weekends). I frequently dog sit my family's pets, and am happy to make accommodations for any specific needs your pet may have. My apartment is spacious enough for a pet to be comfortable, but for the more energetic pet, I am happy and excited to take them on walks and dog parks. If a dog has a more protracted stay with me, I am happy to take them further away from the house on a trip, with details discussed with the dog owner. My rule for pets is that my house is their house. I keep cables tidy and as out of reach as possible, my space is clean, I am okay with dogs jumping on furniture and have kept my space accommodating for pets of all sizes and needs. I do prefer hosting smaller dogs, and prefer to "get to know" your dog on a walk or in a comfortable space to minimize their potential anxieties about being in a new space.
“What a kind and generous family! This was Winston's first stay with Amanda and Noah. I was glad he was staying with a family who owned and know Frenchies as they have their specific needs and energy level. Amanda had shared about her previous Frenchie who passed a couple of months ago and said it was wonderful to have Winston spend some time with them now, especially with their children and dog. Winston had some of his classic GI challenges in a new environment and I received detailed information each day. He received lots of cuddles and love. I was not at all worried leaving him with Amanda. She also shared some tips on food choices and nutrition from her previous experience as a Frenchie owner. Winston came home clean, relaxed, happy and well. I definitely will request Amanda and Noah to take care of Winston in the future. Great find!”

Growing up, my parents adopted several shelter dogs, so I have experience training and walking dogs with all different temperaments and levels of training. Taking care of animals feels very meaningful to me and I will always treat dogs with patience, love and respect. I currently work from home all week, so I am available everyday to walk and give attention to your fluffy friend. I am happy to follow any schedule your dog follows, and am familiar with giving medication to older dogs. I have a fully fenced backyard and also have a dog of my own (he's a 35 lb. cattle dog mix who likes other dogs). Pets will be in my eyesight when in the backyard and I only allow food to given in separate rooms to prevent any potential resource guarding issues. Currently, I am only taking one dog at a time (in addition to my dog) so I can devote lots of time to your pet and make sure they are safe and having fun.

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. That experience shaped the kind of care I offer today. I believe dogs thrive with clear structure, consistency, and calm communication. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.

We will certainly hire Matt again to watch our dogs - it's a relief to have found a place for them that's a good fit for all involved.”

Chris gave us lots of updates and pictures and even took our pups on outings and adventures. Unfortunately one of our dogs had some tummy troubles in the first few days of our travel, but Chris was so patient and caring and handled it all so well.
