“Stacey is super communicative and kind, and great with our extra-sniffy Lab. We just moved to the area and are so happy to have someone great in the area we can rely on!”

“Courtney was amazing with our dog. She was so patient and took time to build trust with him. Courtney was reliable, sent helpful detailed updates and photos. Would absolutely recommend her to care for your pet”

“We cannot recommend Grace highly enough. From the very beginning, she exceeded our expectations in the care she provided for our dog, Maggie. In addition to offering exceptional care, Grace was instrumental in helping us address Maggie’s training needs and anxiety. She took the time to understand Maggie’s unique personality, provided thoughtful guidance, and shared practical strategies that helped Maggie become more comfortable and confident when left home alone. The progress we saw was truly remarkable. What impressed us most was the genuine bond Grace developed with Maggie. Every time Maggie saw her, she would light up with excitement—wagging her tail, wiggling with happiness, and eagerly anticipating their time together. As pet owners, there is no greater reassurance than knowing your dog feels safe, happy, and loved in someone else’s care. Grace’s dedication goes far beyond day-to-day pet sitting. She is deeply invested in the well-being of the dogs she works with and consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Thanks to her influence, Maggie is happier, more confident, and better behaved. We are incredibly grateful for everything Grace has done and would wholeheartedly trust her with Maggie again.”

About: Pets have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, big and small, they have genuinely brought so much fullness and joy to my life, and I truly cannot imagine it without them. I have plenty of hands-on experience walking and caring for large dogs, as well as small and medium breeds, so no pup is too big or too energetic for me! I'm also very comfortable with cats. I have one of my own at home who I adore. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a cozy cuddle session, or just someone to check in and make sure they're doing well, I treat every animal like my own. When you book with me, you're not just hiring a sitter. You're trusting a genuine animal lover who will pour the same care and attention into your pet as I do my own. Pet care fits seamlessly into my weekly routine. I am available part-time during weekdays and structure my schedule to make sure every pet in my care gets the time and attention they deserve. I work and study alongside my pet care commitments, so I am always mindful of planning walks, visits, and check-ins around a consistent and reliable routine. I believe animals thrive on predictability, so I make it a priority to show up on time, every time. Whether it is a midday walk or a drop-in visit, you can count on me to be there when I say I will. When it comes to the safety and wellbeing of your pet, I take every detail seriously. Since I provide care in your home, your pet gets to stay in the environment they already know and love, which means less stress and more comfort for them. While in your home, I make sure to maintain a calm and quiet atmosphere, keep a close eye on any potential hazards, and ensure that any interactions with other animals are supervised and handled with care. Every pet has their own personality and boundaries, and I always take the time to respect that. I also believe that open communication is key to building trust with pet owners. Whether you want daily photos and videos, regular check-ins, or just a message if something comes up, I am happy to keep you as informed and involved as you would like. Your peace of mind matters just as much to me as your pet's happiness

No matter it means more space, more cuddle time, or more fun out time. I make sure they have not only their basic needs met, but also enjoy the best life they can get, a home with full of love. Attention to detail help me capture any abnormal behavior the soonest. I’ll try my best to provide a worry-free experience. And thank you for considering me to help take care of your baby. The honor is all mine. Did I forget to mention that I’m also a photographer? You will get bunch of the cutest photos of your baby as a gift for free as well! My partner is at home 2/5 per week. Usually on Monday and Friday. I’m home usually before 10am and after 5:30pm on weekdays. At least one day at home on Weekend. I live in an apartment with good security system. Bunch of cat and dog toys. Clean and well organized with Blueair purifier to make sure they have the best home possible for their health.
“Paula was super responsive and showed up promptly for her walks with Brandy. We got very detailed cards after each walk and Brandy was a happy pup when we got home. We’ve already booked Paula for future walks and dog sitting!”

“Sabrina was so so great! We were able to set up a meet & greet beforehand where she got to know my pup. And she was extremely communicative during my pup’s walk and made sure to go above and beyond to mark sure he was comfortable. I got many photos and will definitely be reaching out to book again :)”

About: I have been an animal lover since childhood and truly believe that pets are our 'younger brothers' who deserve nothing but respect and affection. For the past 5 years, I’ve been a dedicated dog owner myself, which taught me the nuances of daily care and intuition. Beyond my personal life, I have 3 years of professional experience as a Rover sitter under a previous account. I don’t just 'watch' dogs; I welcome them into my home as family members, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and respected every second you are away. I work a flexible hybrid schedule, splitting my time between the office and home. My typical workday starts early at 6:00 AM and ends by 2:30 PM, though I often finish a couple of hours earlier. This early schedule is perfect for pet care because it means I am home for the majority of the day. On days I work from home, we are together 24/7. On office days, the pets are only alone for a short period before I return to dedicate my afternoon to them. Our typical walking routine includes: Morning: A refreshing early walk to kickstart the day. Mid-afternoon: A long, high-energy walk right after I finish work. Evening: A medium-length stroll before bedtime to ensure everyone is relaxed and ready for sleep. On weekends, we love to go on adventures! We frequently visit local parks to enjoy the fresh air and give the dogs plenty of space to explore. Your pet will fit right into our active and attentive daily rhythm. Creating a secure and stress-free environment is my top priority. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, I ensure they feel like a true member of the family. A Comfortable Home Environment: Choice of Sleeping: Every guest has a dedicated "safe place" to retreat to, but I believe in total comfort. Pets are more than welcome to snuggle up in bed with me if that’s where they feel most secure and happy! Personal Space: To prevent any stress during mealtimes, each pet has their own designated station for food and fresh water. Play & Mental Stimulation: I dedicate one-on-one time to every pet for interactive play and engagement. We have a huge variety of toys to keep them entertained! Treats & Care: I love spoiling my guests with tasty treats, though I am very strict about checking for allergies or specific dietary instructions from owners first. Safety & Peace of Mind: Because I have a small, cat-friendly dog of my own, my home is already set up to be a pet-safe zone. I am very attentive to body language and ensure that all interactions between animals are supervised and positive. You can expect regular photo updates and messages so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having!
About: I've had dogs my whole life and love being around animals in general. I have house sit for a number of friends and co-workers in the past and would love to countinue to help people with their pet sitting needs. I have a two dogs of my own and understand the difficulties of finding a trusting dog sitter. Pets are an important part of our lives and I want to help as much as I can to make sure their owners don't worry while they're away. I am a stay at home dog mom so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets too! My days are very flexible. I have years of experience dog/house sitting. As a pet owner myself, I take the care and safety of every pet very seriously. Our pets are our family.
“Justin helped take care of our dog while we were away. Our dog is reactive and Justin did a great job of meeting his needs. Justin was communicative and responded to any questions we had. We would definitely use Justin again!”
About: I’m a very patient and quick learner! I love all animals, and have grown up my entire life around them. I have cats of my own and often took care of my old roommates border collie. I love being around animals, and understand that they require a lot of patience when it comes to strangers. Availability is pretty open at the moment as I search for a full time job. As far as special skills go in taking care of animals, I will gladly stay engaged with your animals and their needs! I've taken care of animals with special needs or routines. All I ask if that you disclose that prior to booking. If you do not disclose that with me, I will have to cancel the booking as I want to ensure I can give the most informed and attentive care. It just provides trust for both of us that your loved one(s) are in good care! I currently am unemployed and searching for jobs. In the meantime, I have full availability and live in central Ballard. I don't mind busing out a bit, but I do not have my own vehicle. Willing to bus to U District, Fremont, north Ballard, Wallingford, Queen Anne. Ocassionally Cap Hill. I have two cats of my own that were adopted as kittens last year. Panda is the mother of Michael and she was a teen mom lol (litter as 6 months old)! Michael is a menace to society but we have picked each other as a bond. He is the most active, playful, goofy cat I've ever met. Panda is a normal temperament for a cat and is more bonded to my partner. She has her silly moments, but she is more grounded and smart than Michael, lol. They have a steady routine of wet food 2x a day, small portions of dry kibble from an auto feeder through out the day. They get plenty of playtime, love to bird watch, go out on the enclosed patio of our apartment, and cuddle. What you can expect from me taking care of your pet(s) is the same exact love and care I give to my own. :)
“Elise is wonderful! They have been so communicative on their walks with my pup, Shortcake, and they have been very punctual. Not only do I trust Elise with Shortcake, I think Shorty has a lot of fun on their walks.”

“Caroline was so helpful with our little dude! He can be skeptical at first but he warmed up quickly to her. She helped us out on short notice too- will definitely use her again next time!”

About: I grew up in a house that always had cats and a few dogs. I became addicted to the love, laughs, and mischief they bring, and I have always had a knack for earning the trust of shy and timid animals. Currently, have a sweet and shy, toothless and ruthless senior rescue cat that is my whole world. When I adopted her I spend a month reading Harry Potter allowed to her while she hid under the bed until I gained her trust, love, and devotion. We’ve been a bonded pair ever since. I also am lucky enough to have two fur-nephews (Rosco and Lewis Jr.) that are fully loaded baked potato dogs and I am lucky enough to get to love and care for them on a regular basis. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry little friend for any amount of time, and I would love to be a person you can rely on to show your fur babies love and patience while you’re away. I’m currently entering my first year of graduate school. During the week I am occupied with classes in the morning, and some days stretching into the late afternoon. Most days I am done by 3pm, others I’m done closer to noon. If you’re able to accommodate any flexibility and if afternoon/late afternoon drop ins are within your comfort zone i think I would be a good fit for your needs. My main goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and great at taking direction, so as long as I’m provided with specifications of your animal’s needs (ie. feeding and bathroom habits, favorite toys/treats/activities, as well as transparency about any reactivity triggers) you can rest assured I’m going to give your pet the love, patience, and attention it needs and deserves.
“Taylor was fantastic with my older dog. He had recently had surgery and required a few extra safety instructions and care. She was great with using a sling and giving medications. She is very quick to respond to messages and requests. Would definitely trust her to take care of my pup again.”

“Stephanie is great! She's very calm and collected and you can tell right away she has a lot of valuable experience with dogs. After their first walk, I can already tell my dog Louie is in love with her!!”

“Eleni has been so great with our dog! She’s experiencing some separation anxiety from us since we both went back in office full time in the new year resulting in some new behaviors. Eleni has been very communicative, patient, and willing to work with her and put her at ease. It’s gone such a long way in easing our anxieties being away from her while she’s struggling.”

Ballard dog parents share their Rover experiences
Victoria is a great communicator and does a great job caring for my dog. She is great at rolling with the punches not matter what my dogs mood is, sometimes she wants to walk sometimes she wants to lay in the sun and Victoria is great at accommodating it all. She also is flexible with my random schedule changes!

Eleanor was absolutely fantastic! She was early to our first meet and greet and went above and beyond to make my timid dog feel comfortable. I appreciated her detailed communication during her care of Penny over the weekend. I could relax knowing Penny was in good hands. Eleanor is reliable, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!
