“Sabrina was very communicative and it was easy to schedule a walk for my pup with her! Even though it was a short walk, she went above and beyond to make sure Gunther enjoyed his time with her.”

About: I have been trusted with friends and families fur babies for almost 8 years, and had many years living with dogs as well. I have experience giving medication, caring for dogs in times of stress and anxiety, and of course going on daily walks. I have stayed overnight with dogs whose parents are out of town and I have experience with bigger dogs, as well as smaller breeds. I have also cared for a wide array of personalities as all dogs are very different, I enjoy learning about each dog I meet and how to have a good time with them. I work part time and have plenty of mornings available for pet care, I only work late nights once or twice a week and am almost always available after 8/9pm if needed. I am often going on a walk daily and bringing a dog along with me is even better! I am always making sure to cater to a dogs wants and needs, whether that be outside time running laps and playing fetch, or having down time inside and just hanging out. I understand that each dogs needs are different and being able to provide them with a fulfilling day is something I love!
“Paula was super responsive and showed up promptly for her walks with Brandy. We got very detailed cards after each walk and Brandy was a happy pup when we got home. We’ve already booked Paula for future walks and dog sitting!”

“We are happy we booked Chip for an hour walk with our dog! He was great at our meet and greet and asked all the right questions to prep for his time with our pup. Excellent communication and you can tell he genuinely cares about the well-being of the dogs he cares for.”

About: I grew up raising puppies and have had dogs around me my entire life. But more importantly, I know firsthand that not every dog is an easygoing, "walk-in-the-park" pup—and that’s my specialty. My personal dog is a 16-year-old sweet senior whom I’ve raised since he was 5 weeks old. He is reactive in his old age, and now requires additional patience and understanding. He also developed some arthritis and requires daily medication management. Because of my daily life with him, I deeply understand the patience, environmental awareness, and gentle care that "high-maintenance" or sensitive pets need. Whether your dog is a rambunctious puppy, a reactive rescue needing a calm handler, or a golden-years senior who needs a slow pace and precise medical care, they will be in safe, experienced hands with me. 🗓️ Weekday Schedule (Mon–Fri) Midday & Lunch Breaks (11 AM – 2 PM): Prime Time! Perfect for workday walks, quick check-ins, or mid-day potty breaks. Mornings & Evenings: Fully available for early walks, dinner feeds, or bedtime drop-ins. Flexible Workdays: I work remotely with a light meeting schedule. With a little advance notice, I can easily accommodate mid-afternoon drop-ins or last-minute walk requests! ✈️ Travel & Notice Preferences Short-Notice Friendly: If I’m in town and my calendar is open, I’m happy to take last-minute requests. Travel Buffer: I do travel occasionally for work. My Rover calendar is kept up-to-date, but recurring weekly clients get priority booking and advanced notice of any away dates! 1. Home & Environment (For Drop-In Visits) When I enter your home, your pet’s safety and your home’s security are my top priorities. 🔒 Double-Door Protocol: I am extremely mindful of door-dashers. I ensure all entryways and gates are fully secured behind me before letting pets out or off-leash in a yard. 🔑 Home Care & Discretion: I handle home keys, smart locks, and alarm systems with absolute care. Your property will always be locked and secured when I leave. 🧼 Clean & Mindful: I leave your space exactly as I found it. Paws get wiped on rainy days, mess items are cleaned up, and dirty food/water bowls are washed after every visit. 2. Safety Practices & Walk Rules Because I handle my own reactive senior dog daily, safety on walks is second nature to me: 🦮 Equipment Checks: Before stepping foot outside, I double-check that leashes, collars, and harnesses are properly fitted and securely latched. I use fixed 6-foot leashes (no retractable leashes) for maximum control and safety. 🛑 Strict "Zero-Greeting" Policy: I never allow on-leash greetings with unfamiliar dogs or strangers. I constantly scan the environment for triggers, cross streets early, and give your dog a low-stress, quiet walk. 💧 Weather & Hydration Aware: I monitor pavement temperatures in hot weather and always carry fresh water during outdoor visits. 3. Information I Need Before Our First Visit (The "Meet & Greet") To ensure your pet gets the safest, happiest care possible, please share: 💊 Medication Routines: Any exact dosages, schedule, or preferred trick to administering pills/liquids. ⚠️ Triggers & Anxieties: Does your pet dislike loud noises, bicycles, other dogs, or certain touch zones (e.g., paws, ears)? 📍 Emergency Contacts: Your preferred vet, the nearest 24/7 emergency vet clinic, and a local emergency contact. 🚪 Home Quirks: Any tricky locks, gate latches, or specific places your pet likes to hide when scared.
About: Dogs have always been family to me. I grew up with a mom who never met a stray or rescue animal she wouldn’t try to help, so caring for pets was simply part of everyday life. I’ve cared for, played with, and halfway trained many dogs through every stage, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I’ve had perfect sweethearts and anxious grumps. I loved them all. As I transition out of traditional employment to build my freelance business, I’d love to spend some of my newfound time helping local pet owners by providing safe, reliable, and fun walks for their dogs. I’m almost always home and available, and I’d love to hang out with your four-legged family member! As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. I enjoy getting out from behind a computer to grab fresh air, so dog walks fit naturally into my routine, and I genuinely look forward to spending time with animals each week. My dog Weyland would attest, but he is taking a post-breakfast nap in the sun at this moment. I find that pets are happiest when they get to stick to their routine. As a fellow dog owner who just hired a babysitter for week, I know how many bullet points and peculiarities I was compelled to jot down. It felt a bit overly involved, but at the same time I knew it was an effective roadmap for my dog’s health and happiness, as well as the babysitter’s success and ease with him. Those are the ultimate goals, so I understand how important the details are. I follow any instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, and house rules while making sure pets receive plenty of attention and affection. That’s simply what they need. My dog Weyland needs to be scowled at before he will eat his breakfast, and dinner is a whole different thing 🤷♂️ I don’t understand, but believe me, I get it.
“Mira walked my pup Peanut who can be a rascal on the leash and did a great job. Also super accommodating with some issues on getting into the building which was much appreciated! 100% would book again!”

“Katie was great! She arrived on time and was great with communicating. She included pictures of the walk and gave detail about her visit. Will ask Katie to walk my dogs again. Thanks so much! Highly recommend!”

“Stacey is super communicative and kind, and great with our extra-sniffy Lab. We just moved to the area and are so happy to have someone great in the area we can rely on!”

About: I have over 20 years of experience working with animals personally and professionally. I worked professionally at the Tulsa Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals from 2005-2008 and became the manager of puppy care. Upon returning to Seattle, I volunteered for PAWS Animal Shelter providing foster care for bottle feeding kittens and litters too young or sick to reside in the shelter. My former pets include three rescue cats (one with special needs), and one rescue dog. I currently have a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier / American Bulldog that I also rescued from PAWS Animal Shelter about a year ago. We love going for walks and hikes together, and visiting Sniffspots around the Seattle area. I love caring for animals and will treat your animals like I treat my own. I currently reside in Ballard and work from home. My work schedule is flexibleal which makes last minute walks and drop-ins easy for me. I have recently reopened my Rover account and hope to get some new clients over the summer months! I work a flexible, part time schedule from home. Both my flexible work hours and the fact that I work from home make both regular and last minute walks and drop-in visits easy for me to do in Ballard and surrounding areas. I always offer free meet and greets either around the neighborhood or in your home to make sure that I am a good for for both you and your pet. When I come to your home for drop-in visits, your animal(s) will be my one and only focus. I am highly respectful of privacy and understand that having a new person in your home can feel vulnerable, especially at first.
About: I've been around animals of all kinds since I was a kid. I've cared for older more needy pets, as well as those who need lots of play and attention. Each animal is a unique individual, and I love getting to know their different personalities and quirks. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and as a cat parent of 3, I understand how to "speak" cat vs dog! But don't be fooled - I may be a "cat lady", but I love dogs just as much! I'm experienced in walking, playing, and caring for dogs of all sizes. I also love to send pictures and updates so you continue to have peace of mind while away from home. I'm a self-employed artist, so my schedule is super flexible! Whether you need a quick drop in or an extended stay, I have plenty of time to spend with your animal friend! My goal is to provide individualized care, so when you book with me, we'll chat about your specific pet and home needs. I know how important it is to have someone who trust taking care of your pets (they're members of your family)! I've cared for pets in both small apartments, and big homes with yards, so happy to accommodate in whatever way you think is best for you and your pet.
“Alana is awesome! She took my two dogs out for walks while I was out of town. I have a boarder collie mix that can be leash aggressive and she handled him professionally (her dog has it also). I'd 100% recommended her!”

About: I’ve been lucky to have pets as constant companions throughout my life! There’s always been a dog by my side, whether I was growing up in New York or building my life out here in Seattle. I raised my pug from a tiny puppy, watching him grow and become part of the family. Over the years, I've also had the joy of looking after friends' dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I'm currently working remotely so I have some flexibility in my schedule if needed! My weekends are pretty free as well. I always love taking a work break to walk my dog so I'd be happy to walk yours! I'm currently living in an apartment building in Ballard. They are very pet friendly as we have a roof top dog area and dog washing area. In my home, I'm very careful with my dog to make sure no plants are in reach and nothing is on the ground for them to choke on.

“Katie has great communication and seemed to genuinely enjoy our dog. Anyone can walk a dog, but these are things that make the difference! We will definitely book with her again.”

“Elizabeth has been an absolute blessing to our dog, Dakota. She is not just a dog walker; she's Dakota's best friend (besides me, of course.) We are fortunate to have her. Linda and Dakota”

“Rhea helped take care of Tusker on short notice. It's clear that Rhea can read dogs well and cares about their well-being. Rhea provided detailed updated, which helped my separation anxiety!”

“Alia took great care of my dog and cat. My dog gets anxiety when we are gone and she did a great job with him and provided updates on how he was doing each day. She was prompt in responses when I reached out about specific needs (she was watching them over the 4th of July and I was concerned about fireworks affecting the anxiety). I would definitely have her look after my pets again in the future!”

Chelsie is lovely to work with - she helped me out a bit last minute by taking my dogs on a walk while I was out for a few hours. Her communication was excellent and she took pictures and sent updates during the walk. The dogs seemed very content and comfortable when I got home, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Chelsie to watch the pups again in the future!

Tina did a good job walking our mini aussie for a week. This was his first experience being walked by someone he doesn't know and at the beginning of the week he really didn't want to go with her. Tina worked hard to win his trust with treats and kindness, and by the end of the week he was happily setting off for his walk with her.

I can't say enough great things about Nicholle. Our girl loves her! I hired her to walk my/my mom's dog since she was dealing with some stuff and needed help, but she (and more importantly our princess!) are so happy with Nicholle I think this will have to be a regular thing!
Tiger handled our dog wonderfully! We have a very energetic, large dog and Tiger came in and immediately bonded with him and handled him well. He was very attentive to our dog’s needs and our dog came home extra happy. Tiger was also a joy to be around, a very positive force, as well as courteous and professional. Will definitely book again!
