About: I have been trusted with friends and families fur babies for almost 8 years, and had many years living with dogs as well. I have experience giving medication, caring for dogs in times of stress and anxiety, and of course going on daily walks. I have stayed overnight with dogs whose parents are out of town and I have experience with bigger dogs, as well as smaller breeds. I have also cared for a wide array of personalities as all dogs are very different, I enjoy learning about each dog I meet and how to have a good time with them. I work part time and have plenty of mornings available for pet care, I only work late nights once or twice a week and am almost always available after 8/9pm if needed. I am often going on a walk daily and bringing a dog along with me is even better! I am always making sure to cater to a dogs wants and needs, whether that be outside time running laps and playing fetch, or having down time inside and just hanging out. I understand that each dogs needs are different and being able to provide them with a fulfilling day is something I love!

Safety Practices & Walk Rules Because I handle my own reactive senior dog daily, safety on walks is second nature to me: 🦮 Equipment Checks: Before stepping foot outside, I double-check that leashes, collars, and harnesses are properly fitted and securely latched. About: Dogs have always been family to me. I grew up with a mom who never met a stray or rescue animal she wouldn’t try to help, so caring for pets was simply part of everyday life. I’ve cared for, played with, and halfway trained many dogs through every stage, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I’ve had perfect sweethearts and anxious grumps. I loved them all. As I transition out of traditional employment to build my freelance business, I’d love to spend some of my newfound time helping local pet owners by providing safe, reliable, and fun walks for their dogs. I’m almost always home and available, and I’d love to hang out with your four-legged family member! As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. I enjoy getting out from behind a computer to grab fresh air, so dog walks fit naturally into my routine, and I genuinely look forward to spending time with animals each week. My dog Weyland would attest, but he is taking a post-breakfast nap in the sun at this moment. I find that pets are happiest when they get to stick to their routine. As a fellow dog owner who just hired a babysitter for week, I know how many bullet points and peculiarities I was compelled to jot down. It felt a bit overly involved, but at the same time I knew it was an effective roadmap for my dog’s health and happiness, as well as the babysitter’s success and ease with him. Those are the ultimate goals, so I understand how important the details are. I follow any instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, and house rules while making sure pets receive plenty of attention and affection. That’s simply what they need. My dog Weyland needs to be scowled at before he will eat his breakfast, and dinner is a whole different thing 🤷‍♂️ I don’t understand, but believe me, I get it.

About: I have over 20 years of experience working with animals personally and professionally. I worked professionally at the Tulsa Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals from 2005-2008 and became the manager of puppy care. Upon returning to Seattle, I volunteered for PAWS Animal Shelter providing foster care for bottle feeding kittens and litters too young or sick to reside in the shelter. My former pets include three rescue cats (one with special needs), and one rescue dog. I currently have a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier / American Bulldog that I also rescued from PAWS Animal Shelter about a year ago. We love going for walks and hikes together, and visiting Sniffspots around the Seattle area. I love caring for animals and will treat your animals like I treat my own. I currently reside in Ballard and work from home. My work schedule is flexibleal which makes last minute walks and drop-ins easy for me. I have recently reopened my Rover account and hope to get some new clients over the summer months! I work a flexible, part time schedule from home. Both my flexible work hours and the fact that I work from home make both regular and last minute walks and drop-in visits easy for me to do in Ballard and surrounding areas. I always offer free meet and greets either around the neighborhood or in your home to make sure that I am a good for for both you and your pet. When I come to your home for drop-in visits, your animal(s) will be my one and only focus. I am highly respectful of privacy and understand that having a new person in your home can feel vulnerable, especially at first.

About: I've been around animals of all kinds since I was a kid. I've cared for older more needy pets, as well as those who need lots of play and attention. Each animal is a unique individual, and I love getting to know their different personalities and quirks. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and as a cat parent of 3, I understand how to "speak" cat vs dog! But don't be fooled - I may be a "cat lady", but I love dogs just as much! About: I’ve been lucky to have pets as constant companions throughout my life! There’s always been a dog by my side, whether I was growing up in New York or building my life out here in Seattle. I raised my pug from a tiny puppy, watching him grow and become part of the family. Over the years, I've also had the joy of looking after friends' dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I'm currently working remotely so I have some flexibility in my schedule if needed! My weekends are pretty free as well. I always love taking a work break to walk my dog so I'd be happy to walk yours! I'm currently living in an apartment building in Ballard. They are very pet friendly as we have a roof top dog area and dog washing area. In my home, I'm very careful with my dog to make sure no plants are in reach and nothing is on the ground for them to choke on.
