“Sydney responded promptly to a request with little lead time. We arranged for the specifics of the dog care and she was very communicative throughout the entire process. I look forward to using Sydney again in the future. My pups were very happy and content when I got back to them after their walk :)”

About: Hi! I'm Ginny (they/she) and I looooove animals. I'm a pet parent to a 2 year old kitty, grew up with black labs, and have many animal nieces and nephews in my life. I get along with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and I especially like befriending shy animals. My day job is as a career coach with flexible hours, so my schedule can work around your needs. I'd describe myself as patient and warm, and I can't wait to care for your pet! I'm a career coach working fully remote with a flexible schedule, so I'm happy to spend time with your pets whenever is convenient for you. It's my goal to make sure your pet feels safe with me throughout our time together. For food motivated critters, I love to spoil them with treats, and for those with food intolerances (like my cat), I know that being patient and warm makes all the difference.

“Jenae was great with my dogs. Both my 15 year old senior dog and 8 month old puppy were well cared for and had fun with Jenae while I was at work. I’d recommend booking with Jenae for your pet care needs. Thank you for your help! 🙂”

About: Hi, I'm Stella! My legal name (which Rover requires me to display) is Leigh, but in day-to-day interactions I prefer to go by Stella. :) Although I've been a cat person all my life, I've also always loved dogs. Recently my family members have been adopting dogs into their various collections of pets, including a Manchester terrier who has decided I'm his second favorite person (besides my mom, and I can't blame him there!). I've absolutely loved the opportunity to care for him when my parents travel a few times a year, and will absolutely bring that same level of enthusiasm to caring for your pup! I'm primarily self employed, as well as doing gig work, so I have a lot of flexibility to give your pet the care they need on a schedule that works for you! I'm most often available on weekdays, as the gigs I do usually fall on weekends. I'm very interested in learning your pet's personality, and taking the time needed to get them comfortable with me. I'm particularly good at "cat language", but am dedicated to learning "dog language" as well. I'd also love to hear from you about your pet's likes, dislikes, preferences, and anything else I should know to give them the best experience possible!
“Saghar is fantastic! She’s great with my pup and kitty, knowkedable and kind, but also highly engaging with me as a pet-owner. She helped me troubleshoot my cat’s litter box issues and resolve them. I trust her completely and feel very relaxed knowing she is doing the best for my fur-babies at all times. I highly recommend her!!”

About: From cats to dogs and anything in between— I would love to take care of your pet! I’ve been around animals my entire life. Currently, I’m an animal foster parent and I’m looking to watch some extra furry friends when I don’t have a foster in my care! I have experience with puppies and kittens, elderly pets, and medical cases. No matter the challenge, I’m willing to meet it and see your animal first and foremost as a member of your family! I look forward to meeting and caring for your furry friends! I’m currently working a full time job on a hybrid schedule. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays which allows me ample time for flexible pet care. My weekends are typically free and I’m happy to sit and care for plenty of furry friends I’m an outdoorsy individual and I typically walk 2-3 miles a day on my own. I’m willing and able to let dogs sniff to their hearts content! For feline friends, I’m adept at reading body language and cues. I will meet them where they’re at whether that means playtime, snuggle time, or quiet time.
“Alyssa is quickly becoming Rowdy’s favorite… I know because he does his little howl every time he sees her! He loves spending time with her and he came back from his walk exhausted! Alyssa is a godsend, making my crazy life easier!!! 😍”

About: I've taken care of dogs all sizes and ages. I have experience giving medication, that includes doggies who are reluctant to take it :) I have facilitated general comfort care for dogs in the past that suffered from seizures. I'm no stranger to long walks, giving baths and even assisted with training a friend's puppy. Dogs and cats bring a lot of joy to my life and I would love to help make your life easier, and you can know your furry friends will be in great hands! I work full-time from late afternoon to night, so I have a good chunk of the morning/early afternoon to get walkies in with your dog and give out tons of scritches and treats! I'm also available any time during my days off! For now, I won't be caring for your pet in my home as my dog has trusting issues. However I am available for dog walks and drop-in visits at your home!
About: I grew up with dogs and had a pug with an ex partner for 5 years. I love dogs and have taken care of many of various temperaments through dog sitting for friends. I feel that I'm good with dogs and recognizing their needs. I can't currently have a dog so I would LOVE to get to spend time with them more often via walks, hangs, caretaking etc. I'm a musician not currently working a day job outside of touring, so between gigs and tours I have tons of time throughout the week that could be used for pet care! My schedule at present is quite flexible and I can easily work around folks needs for their pets during their work hours. I love pets and will give yours all of the love and care while I'm with them! If its in your home I will absolutely respect your trust while I'm there, keeping your pet and home safe and secure. For my home, my wife and I have a fairly large space right next to parks, trails and the beach. Your pet will be plenty entertained and kept safe while here.
About: I am the one at the party hanging out with the dog/cat instead of the people…probably because I grew up with lots of cats and dogs (foster and forever home). I volunteer at the shelter as a dog walker several days a week. Between the shelter animals and my pup, Isla (11 y/o), I am especially experienced with reactive/anxious or shy animals. I was raised with a large variety of animals around constantly, as my father was a vet who worked with both domestic and exotic species, so I learned a lot, including being very comfortable giving medications. I have also been raising my own dogs since middle school and have roughly 12 years of experience watching other people's animals. I currently work freelance from home and I don't have any other obligations that aren't flexible. I have plenty of time to hang with your pets for as long as they/you need. I offer drop ins for potty breaks and playtime, as well as dog walks. Walks would vary based on the pets needs, but I am fully willing to accommodate most requests while giving walks. I volunteer regularly at the shelter and have experience handling pets with high anxiety.

About: Been around animals my whole life, love cats and dogs, i work a flexible schedule so I'm open to last minute requests and changes as needed. I am very responsible and responsive, so even though I am new to Rover, you, your pet, and your home are in good hands <3 I work remote freelance, so my schedule is completely flexible and open when I am in town! Last minute from same day to same week is easy for me :) I am flexible to provide any care you specify and adapt to your needs! I am great at following instructions and always play on the safe side so your pet takes priority!
“I am new Rover user and Katie has been a godsend. She house sat/watched my pup when I was in Hawaii for a bit and did a great job. She's very good at providing details about the day and sending pictures of Biscotti. She also helped me out last minute when I ran up to Bellingham to see a friend. She rules. You should book her.”

“Lauren is very professional and conscientious. She has a lot of experience and comes prepared with all the dog walking essentials. She is responsive and leaves great reports after each walk that let me know my pup is cared for when I’m at work. I highly recommend her services!!”

“Jeana is wonderful!! She’s always on time, great communication, and very flexible with our chaotic schedule. She truly cares about our dog, even ensuring his safety when a loose dog approached them during a walk. Thank you Jeana for taking such great care of our fluffy baby 😊”

About: I have been taking care of my own and my friend's pets since I was 10 years old. I have experience with cats and dogs from different sizes and ages. At the moment I live with and take care of my sweet Filipa. I currently work from home self-employed, so I have plenty of time, willing and flexibility to care for cat or dogs, besides my own kitty. I have a spare guest room if your pet needs to stay with me. I will walk them and feed them according to your directions. They will be sharing the house with my cat. I can also visit your pets at your house or walk them as needed.
About: I've raised and trained dogs for over 20 years. I use positive reinforcement and clicker training. I have experience with puppies through geriatric aging, and match my energy to your dogs needs. I have also trained service dogs, trained for public access, and tasked trained. If you have a service dog who needs to maintain their training while in care, I am able to accommodate. I am fully remote wfh and have a very flexible schedule to care for pets. For dogs boarding in my home, I typically start with a potty break in the morning, afternoon walk with potty break and another walk and potty break in the evening. A fourth potty break just before bedtime. For younger dogs, potty breaks without a walk can be more frequent. For house sitting pets, I will not be in your home 100% of the time during weekdays as my wfh setup in necessary for my job. I will do morning potty breaks, lunch break with walk, dinner break with walk, and evening potty break before bed. If your dog needs more companionship during the day, lets talk about it and work something out! I use a gentle leader or halti harness for dogs that pull, clicker training for positive reinforcement. I have a fenced dog run at my building, and also offer pet washing services for dogs who are happy bathers.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Alki is $25

Matt is very patient. It took a while for my pup Joey to warm up to him, but Matt was so kind and gentle with him. After a few weeks, when Matt shows up, Joey would come out of his crate all excited to see Matt. I also have a cat that usually doesn’t like people, but on many occasions, my kitty boy also went to ask for pets from Matt when he came to walk Joey. If we could have Matt could walk Joey indefinitely, we would. Thanks for being so good to my babies!

Joline is wonderful with Oogie. She was able to help on short notice for a meet and greet and clearly took the time to understand his routine. She handled him really well, even with hot weather and construction happening around the house. She is communicative, sends thoughtful updates and sweet photos, gives him fresh water and food afterward, and makes sure the key is returned to the right place. I feel very comfortable trusting her with Oogie and would happily book with her again.

I needed a last minute walker and Christina responded instantly! We met for a quick meet and greet and she was very thoughtful and asked questions to get to know Nova and her routine. Christina sent some very cute pictures from their walk and even practiced some training calls with Nova and made sure to feed her dinner before leaving. She was amazing and I would 1000% book her again!! Thank you, Christina!

Aliye your calm & kind demeanor are perfect to help my rescue dog’s anxiety! I appreciate your listening carefully to my information about her & being willing to jump in and play her favorite game of tug, She is A LOT of dog to play with! But as you saw today, also sweet & loving. I feel confident you two will have a good week while I’m away.

Kimberly jumped right in to help me and my mom walk my sometimes anxious dog. She gave full reports on the potty movements while walking and the exciting times she ran into bunnies. Kimberly has been flexible on the days when we need to changes the times and one day when Millie did not want to walk. Photos and walk routes were provided. I will use Kimberly again!
