About: We have both grown up with dogs in the family, and we have had one of our own for 11 years now! Armstrong is our whole world, and we totally understand how pets are family. We will do our absolute best to love and care for your companion while you are away, whether that's long walks, playing fetch in the yard or having some dedicated tummy scratch time! We have flexible work days that can allow us to visit your pet whenever is best. We have flexible work days, so we can spend lots of quality time with your pet throughout the day. On weekends, we love to do doggy-centric stuff, like long walks or a trip to the dog park! We'll make sure your companion has all the food, treats, water and love that they need! The two questions i get the most are am I home all day with the dogs and how many dogs do you watch at one time? I am retired so except for running errands, etc, your dog(s) will be supervised at all times.I DO watch dogs from different households at the same time, having had as many as 8 Rover dogs at once If this is a concern I invite you to come down and meet us, to see how mellow and manageable it is, and how happy the dogs are to be in the company of other dogs. I never watch a dog without meeting it first so this ensures that everyone gets along and it's a good fit. My mom runs a no-kill animal shelter in Florida so I guess you could say it's in my blood. I currently have 2 dogs (the last dog i adopted was from an elderly Rover client who could no longer take care of him) but i've had as many as 4 at one time. I've adopted, loved and cared for dogs through all their stages of life, in "sickness and in health", so I'm quite aware of the quirkiness that comes with a dog that has a history. At the moment I’m not boarding puppies because my older dogs can’t handle all the high energy of the youngsters. Nothing brings me more joy than watching these little dogs come out of their shell during the stay. Their tail going from tucked, unsure, "what am I doing here", to full wag! Many owners have told me that when they get to the top of my hill their dog starts getting excited, they know they're coming to my house and they are happy about it. They march right up my steps with zero hesitation. They might not sleep with us on day one, but they almost always find their way into the bed by the time they leave. My goal is to have them feel like one of the pack, loved and secure, safe and happy. I recently retired after 40+ years in the hospitality industry so I will be home with your dog(s) day and night. I have a gate on the front door so the dogs can't run out if the door opens, though there's hardly any traffic where I live. I have a fully fenced in backyard, perfect for potty breaks and sunbathing. Your dog will never be left unattended in the yard .Inside I have dog beds throughout the house that move with the sunspot. About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and quail. I have a multitude of experience taking care of large/extra log dogs, pitties, frenchies, and senior dogs. I usually leave the dogs loose in the house, unless the owner prefers that the dog be crated, I think the dog would get injured, etc. Currently, I am pet free. I helped build a dog daycare here in Seattle, so I’ve spent years learning how dogs actually behave—who wants to play, who needs a break, and how to make sure everyone stays safe and happy. At home, we keep that same vibe—but way more personal. Our dog Bud (2 years old) is the host. He’s friendly, playful, and great with other dogs—basically the guy who makes sure everyone feels welcome. If your dog likes to play, they’ll have a blast. If they prefer to chill, we’ve got cozy spots for that too. My wife (originally from Colombia 🇨🇴) has been around dogs her whole life and brings a ton of warmth and attention to every pup that walks through the door. What your dog gets: 🐾 Supervised play (no chaos, just good energy) 🐾 A safe, calm environment 🐾 Plenty of attention, affection, and breaks when needed 🐾 A new best friend in Bud We keep things small, intentional, and stress-free—so your dog isn’t just “watched”… they’re part of the pack. Dogs basically run our schedule 😊 We walk Bud three times a day, and since we’re home most of the day, there’s always someone around for playtime, snuggles, or a quick potty break. Your dog just joins right in. In our home, dogs are part of the daily routine—not just “watched.” We provide structured care with three walks a day, supervised play, and plenty of downtime when needed. We do have a partially fenced yard, but we don’t rely on it—dogs are always supervised outside and primarily get their exercise through regular walks. Because of my daycare background, I pay close attention to each dog’s personality—whether they want to play, relax, or have their own space—and make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable.
