About: I have had pets my whole life-- everything from big dogs like golden retrievers or my current German shepherd mix, to cats, to birds, hamsters, and fish. I am here for whatever your pet needs! As a pet owner myself, I know what it's like to leave your pet with a stranger and hope that they understand and accommodate their quirks. I will take the time to get to know your pets and give them the type of care and environment that they're used to. I have lots of experience with big dogs, and can work with all kinds. I have worked with rescues, and am experienced with different types of anxiety and reactivity. I am very attuned to the signals that dogs give when they are feeling anxious or activated and can quickly take action to deescalate, distract, or soothe. I have experience administering medicine, both through pills and oral syringes. I'm active and will love to take your dog for long walks, play in the hard, or find other creative ways to work off their energy! The two questions i get the most are am I home all day with the dogs and how many dogs do you watch at one time? I am retired so except for running errands, etc, your dog(s) will be supervised at all times.I DO watch dogs from different households at the same time, having had as many as 8 Rover dogs at once If this is a concern I invite you to come down and meet us, to see how mellow and manageable it is, and how happy the dogs are to be in the company of other dogs. I never watch a dog without meeting it first so this ensures that everyone gets along and it's a good fit. My mom runs a no-kill animal shelter in Florida so I guess you could say it's in my blood. I currently have 2 dogs (the last dog i adopted was from an elderly Rover client who could no longer take care of him) but i've had as many as 4 at one time. Always small dogs, which is what I'm most comfortable with. I've adopted, loved and cared for dogs through all their stages of life, in "sickness and in health", so I'm quite aware of the quirkiness that comes with a dog that has a history. At the moment I’m not boarding puppies because my older dogs can’t handle all the high energy of the youngsters. Nothing brings me more joy than watching these little dogs come out of their shell during the stay. Their tail going from tucked, unsure, "what am I doing here", to full wag! Many owners have told me that when they get to the top of my hill their dog starts getting excited, they know they're coming to my house and they are happy about it. They march right up my steps with zero hesitation. They might not sleep with us on day one, but they almost always find their way into the bed by the time they leave. My goal is to have them feel like one of the pack, loved and secure, safe and happy. I recently retired after 40+ years in the hospitality industry so I will be home with your dog(s) day and night. There's nothing i love more than being in the company of dogs, so watching them is my passion. I will treat your dog(s) like my own. I live in the Arroyo's, a private beach neighborhood in Arbor Heights, West Seattle. I have a gate on the front door so the dogs can't run out if the door opens, though there's hardly any traffic where I live. I have a fully fenced in backyard, perfect for potty breaks and sunbathing. Your dog will never be left unattended in the yard .Inside I have dog beds throughout the house that move with the sunspot. I have cameras to watch the dogs when i'm not home (spoiler alert, they sleep), and WE HAVE AC!

About: I am an avid walker and would love to take your loved a cherished animal for a stroll. I have been a dog sitter at many friends' and families' homes and love getting to know each animal's different personalities. Im a critical care nurse at a local hospital and recently moved to west Seattle. I can typically walk animals on mornings or afternoons. At the moment my work allows for Wednesdays through Fridays. When your pet is with me, I want to ensure that you feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands <3 I’m currently working full time but come home pretty early from work and will be available most evenings. I don’t have many activities during the week. I have a fenced backyard and live near a park. I have a 2 year old pit-mix named Canela and she loves to play with other dogs. I will walk them together before they meet each other to ensure they’re both comfortable.

About: Since I was an infant, I've always lived in a house full of dogs. At age 11, I was gifted my best friend Jupiter (a sweet and loving Golden Retriever) and was taught how to be responsible for his care. Now (many years later), my sweet senior pooch Spot and I enjoy our time going for walks around the parks of Seattle or trekking into the mountains for awe-inspiring hikes. I have experience caring for large and small breeds, understand the TLC needed for senior dogs, have experience administering medications, and love taking walks both long and short for whatever needs your dog has! As a recent college graduate, my summer is fully open to accommodate days and times you require for your dog. We can schedule a routine visit if that is something you are needing! For each dog, I like to take time to learn how you prefer your dog to be walked, any rules or special needs they may have to best accommodate each dog. I believe every dog is unique and it's important to keep consistent with their commands as to not interrupt any training you might be working on with your best pal!

About: I am a reliable and responsible dog parent. I love love dogs. I have been taking care of dogs for the past 10 years and I’ve always had dogs growing up. I have a terrier mix called Betty that I adopted 6 years ago during the pandemic. I work from home so she is very happy and gets lots attention and walks. I’m currently working from home so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pup and give them the love and attention they need. I will take your dog on lots of walks. I have a crate for when I need to leave the dog for a short time if sitting at my home. If sitting at dogs home it will depend on the home and dog needs.
