“Although my 6-year-old miniature dachshund, Piper, has stayed with friends/family before, this was my first time using a professional service like Rover and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Maria was exceptionally responsive and flexible with timing. She sent plenty of photos/videos/updates during our short weekend trip that truly set our minds at ease. Piper has cerebellar hypoplasia (the wobbly disease) and has trouble with fine motor skills. Maria had no issue altering her care to suit Piper's limitations. She even took Piper out to a cafe in a stroller for enrichment since she physically can't walk far on her own! Considering my partner has experience petsitting for over two decades and I worry (perhaps too much) about the care my dog will receive while I'm away, we were both impressed with Maria and would gladly hire her again to take care of Piper.”

“Michael was an amazing sitter for my dog and communicator for me!! We had a last minute schedule change and were traveling to Seattle unexpectedly. Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Sophia had great communication during the whole process and was very flexible when I needed to change my pick up and drop off times last minute. Milo will for sure be back to stay with her and her pup.”

“Ellie was a fantastic host to our husky Pepper. She is extremely attentive and made sure that Pepper got enough daily exercise and also plenty of snuggles during their downtime. We love that Pepper gets along so well with Ellie’s sweet dog Bear. Overall our dog had a great time and would absolutely book with Ellie in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Devan was excellent with Pepper, and was extremely meticulous in his communication. We received constant text and photo updates during his stay and that’s one of the most important qualities when caring for a pet.”

“Tracy is amazing! She is so attentive and caring. I felt so relived while I was away knowing my pup was in good hands. My girl had a blast with her. I 10/10 recommend!”

“Matt and Larry were amazing with Ollie. It was his first overnight away from home and Matt put all my concerns at ease. He was great with sending updates on how Ollie was getting along. I would HIGHLY recommend Matt ( and Larry).”

“Diane was excellent with our husky Pepper. She keep us well informed on how the stay was going and took her to the dog park where Pepper loves to hang out. Many photos were sent our way throughout the stay. Definitely recommend Diane to take care of your pup.”

“This was Wallys first time with Aaron and I immediately felt comfortable leaving him and knew he was in good hands. Aaron is very responsive and provided updates with great photos!”
“What a kind and generous family! This was Winston's first stay with Amanda and Noah. I was glad he was staying with a family who owned and know Frenchies as they have their specific needs and energy level. Amanda had shared about her previous Frenchie who passed a couple of months ago and said it was wonderful to have Winston spend some time with them now, especially with their children and dog. Winston had some of his classic GI challenges in a new environment and I received detailed information each day. He received lots of cuddles and love. I was not at all worried leaving him with Amanda. She also shared some tips on food choices and nutrition from her previous experience as a Frenchie owner. Winston came home clean, relaxed, happy and well. I definitely will request Amanda and Noah to take care of Winston in the future. Great find!”

“Brenda was super sweet and communicative throughout my pup’s weekend stay. I received several picture updates of Koda eating, cuddling, and going on walkies. Felt that my pup was in great care and would book again!”

“Jessica is amazing! She sent TONS of high quality photos of our dog every day. We can tell she took great care of him and he had an awesome time. We would definitely recommend her and plan on boarding our dog with her again!”

“Jill is such an angel and my dog absolutely loves her. She even made him a custom sweater when the groomer cut my babies hair too short. My Leo loves her so much and enjoys being in her company. He jumps on her the moment he sees her.”

“We have a very high standard for who we leave our furry babies with, and felt extremely safe and comfortable leaving them in Matthew’s care. Matthew provided updates multiple times a day, with photos and videos - he also has a backyard and the girls got to sleep in bed too! Our dogs didn’t want to leave !! Couldn’t recommend more.”

“Great sitter! Very accommodating and attentive to my dog, asking lots of questions and giving updates throughout his stay. He looked super relaxed and comfy with them in his update pics. Would definitely book again!”

“It was a comfort to know that Midnight was in such good hands with Emily. She took very good care of her and was very accommodating with our last-minute request for an additional day. Emily sent tons of photos throughout Midnight's stay. Thanks so much Emily!”

“Ponyo was great - she consistently updated us with photos and notes so we knew our pup was well taken care of. We'd happily have Ponyo and her family board Willa again in the future.”

“Vadzim was great with my sweet girl Lucy. He sent lots of photos, and was very communicative. My pup is very clingy and requires lots of cuddles and I feel very confident that she got that while I was away. Would highly recommend!”

“My cat absolutely loves Sabrina, she always sends the best pictures of him and goes the extra mile to make sure he has a good time while we are away:) she even kindly recommended a hairball treat for my cat when I mentioned he was throwing them up every once in a awhile.”

“Rhea is amazing! She’s very friendly and reliable, and responds quickly. She is great with cats and sent me photos of my cats while I was away so I knew my fur babies were happy and healthy. Will definitely use her services again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I do not take leaving my two feline furbabies behind lightly! Nicole, above and beyond, made me feel comfortable from the get go. During our "meet the cats" visit she sat down and talked through all of the things she would do and how she would communicate. She was open and receptive to some changes I asked about and was really just embodied calm and confidence. There wasn't a moment I worried while away during my 5-day trip and I really (really!) appreciated knowing the times I could expect to hear from her every day (she came over twice a day). Will ask for her help again and in fact am going to send her a message now (meow?) !”

“Marcia was very friendly and great with our kitten. We were nervous to leave her alone for the first time, but Marcia sent lots of pictures and took a lot of our worry away. Will definitely be contacting her again in the future :)”

“Briana was great. Had a last minute trip and she accommodated. I even forgot to put out the food and turn off the alarm but she worked with me on that. Overall good experience”

“Abbey has been great taking care of our cats! We feel so much better going on vacation knowing that she’s taking care of them. Definitely recommend.”

“Simran was an outstanding pet sitter for our cats while we were out of town. Aside from her background as an experienced cat owner, her communication is excellent, she is kind, professional, punctual, and we felt very comfortable leaving our pets under her care. Book with confidence.”

About: Had dogs primarily since I was a child, spent most of my life raising large dogs and spending occasional time with Cats. Very active and love to walk/hang out with any and all fur babies. I am taking a break from my regular full time career (Bartending/Restaurant Management) to spend more time pursuing art and music, and would love to have an income source that is both fulfilling and schedule flexible. I believe in relationship building with any pet I spend time with: every dog or cat is different and has different needs/quirks that require a different approach; mine always starts with trying to establish trust and a playful/happy rapport with the pet so they know I can be trusted and respected when I’m in their space, and vice versa. My apartment in particular that I share with my girlfriend is rather small, so I will mostly be taking jobs that are in clients’ homes or are just check ins/walks. However on a case by case basis I could possibly accept boarding, we don’t currently have a pet and are entertaining the idea, so a bit of in home practice could be welcome.

“Ingrid was amazing! She contacted us quickly when our cats were having a negative reaction to their new food, and stayed with them until we were sure they were OK. She even cleaned up the pukes and was SO helpful in describing what was going on. 1000% amazing experience!”

“Elizabeth was very professional and thorough. She checked in on my cat while I was out of town and provided excellent updates during the process, which put my mind at ease. I hope she's available the next time I'm out of town!”

“Another great experience with Allie! She watched our kitty for the second time and took such great care of him during the drop in visits. She always sends the best photos and videos, and has been patient and caring with our quirky cat who has multiple personalities. We will be booking her again next time! Thanks Allie!”

“Myranda was so wonderful! Our two cats absolutely adored her. Normally they’re a bit shy with new people, but they opened up to her quickly and clearly loved to spend time with her! Myranda was super communicative and even sent us the cutest videos of the cats playing with her. She also crocheted them both a little present! We are super thankful for Myranda and will definitely book with her again!”

“Paula took excellent care of our four cats while we were away for 10 days. She was diligent about making sure our older kitty got his meds, and she left the place spotless!!”

“Faye did a wonderful job visiting our 2 cats! We have one who is shy with strangers and Faye was able to bond with her and give her pets and play with her after their 1st visit. The pictures they sent to us of our cats getting pet and playing were just what we needed while we were away. Will be using Faye during our next trip!”

“Justin is the best sitter ever. If you have the option to book with him, do it. He is so reliable and takes amazing care of our little guy, can’t wait to have Justin back ASAP!”

“Tyler was great with our kitties! The communication was prompt, he was also very helpful in setting up the automatic feeder since I didn't have time to do it before my flight! Cats seemed happy and content when we were back!”

“I'm so grateful for Malaina! She was so patient with my shy kittens and took care of my demon cat. She was so flexible and visited my babies twice a day to try to match their usual routine. She really went above and beyond to help me out, keep me updated with pictures every day. What was really amazing was that she was able to gain the trust of my shy, shy kittens while I wasn't there and played with them daily. It was an amazing thing. I'll definitely re-book Malaina in the future!”

“Kiko had an amazing couple of days with Ms. Elise. She kept me updated with how the days were going and provided some great photos. We are looking forward to the next visit!”

“We booked Felix on short notice for evening daycare, and he was very thoughtful in assessing whether our dog would be a good fit for his setup. We really appreciated the detailed updates and feedback throughout the stay. Felix has a strong understanding of dog behavior and group dynamics, which gave us peace of mind, and our somewhat nervous dog seemed to fit right in with his pack. Thanks Felix!”

“Sofia has been wonderful with my shy guy dog with separation anxiety. Her adorable dog, Dona, has such great calming energy and seems to be a great friend and mentor for my dog. Sofia is great with updates and communication, and is a natural dog person. I’m so grateful to have found her!”

“Dylan took great care of Juniper, he took her on lots of nice walks and made sure she stayed hydrated. He sent lots of pictures and updates! He has become our go-to sitter for June!”

“Ayesha was so great! She was happy to accommodate a few last minute changes in our schedule, and she took great care of our dog! He had a great time with her. We hope we can have her take care of our pup again!”

“Kristen was amazing with our newly adopted shelter pup! We did a small meet & greet the day before and after I dropped my dog off, she provided picture/text updates. Not only that, but she helped bring the dog supplies and bed back to my car since my hands were full. First time using Rover and was definitely nervous especially since we only had Saber for about 2 months; but she set the bar at a great height.”

“Matthew has been fantastic with Ollie. I always know Ollie will have a blast and be taken care of very well. I highly recommend Matthew! The hard part is getting Ollie to leave!”

“Katryna did great with auggie! She sent frequent pics throughout the day, was really flexible with my work schedule. My dog came home calm, relaxed and tired- would definitely go with Katryna again :)”
“Kristen is great! She helped me out for doggy day care when I was in a bind and needed some last minute help. She was very attentive to my dog’s special quirks and provided updates throughout the day. I felt at ease leaving my pup with Kristen for the day. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for 15+ years. I have experience with short and long term care, dog walking, and any additional service needed. I would love to connect to hear more about your pets and their needs! I work remotely and I have a flexible schedule. I am able to accommodate any pet sitting schedule or service needed (morning/afternoon/evening available). I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and offer drop in care for other animals as well. I am more than happy to accommodate needs of all animals - please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.
About: Experienced Care for Your Pup :-) I’ve spent more than 15 years working with and training horses and dogs, including raising and training my own dogs from puppyhood. Over the years, I’ve developed a calm, structured, and relationship-based approach that helps animals feel safe, understood, and comfortable in my care. I’m happy to help with both ongoing routines and occasional support when schedules get busy, travel comes up, or your dog simply needs an extra walk or check-in. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I care deeply about creating a positive experience for both pets and their people. My resident pup, Hank, is a lil 28 pound Corgi / Cocker Spaniel mix who is great with most every guest in our house, but I've learned that big dogs with strong, dominant personalities can intimidate him (typically German Shepherds, Malinois, Boxers, Bully breeds). Retrievers, Setters and other bigger pups are typically fine :-) We also have one bossy resident cat who keeps to herself, but is good at firmly and safely setting boundaries with pups if needed - just a quick air swat and hiss. I’d love to meet you and your dog to see if we’re a good fit. I currently work from home, stepping out to walk my dog or to run errands. I also take Hank to the dog park every morning from 9 - 10am, as it's a stone's throw away. Once I get to know your dog and with your permission, dog park visits may be an option. Because of my experience, I’m often able to quickly assess a dog’s comfort level, energy, communication style, and individual needs - whether they need more structure, more patience, a slower introduction, reassurance, or simply space to settle in. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and adapting my approach to help them feel secure and successful. For boarding and in-home care, I prefer a quieter, lower-volume environment where dogs can receive more personalized attention. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, medication needs, exercise levels, and behavioral cues to help dogs feel as comfortable and settled as possible. You can expect: • dependable and professional communication • regular updates and photos • close attention to your dog’s routines and needs • thoughtful, individualized care I’m especially comfortable with: • anxious or sensitive dogs • senior dogs (who are mobile - I'm in a townhouse) • high-energy dogs who benefit from structure • puppies and younger dogs learning routines • dogs who need patience, consistency, and calm handling My approach is calm, attentive, and grounded in trust and consistency. I understand how important routines, communication, and environment are for animals, and I strive to create a positive, low-stress experience while they’re in my care. I offer: • dog walking • one-off or occasional walks • repeat weekly walks • drop-in visits • overnight boarding in my home • daytime companionship and care
“Absolutely fantastic daycare for my little pup Bella! She had so much fun and Caitlin was excellent in both planning and keeping me updated on how she was doing throughout the day! Would definitely recommend especially if you have a younger dog who needs a playmate during a long day at work 🐶”

“This was our first time using Rover and I wasn’t sure how it would go. Elizabeth was fantastic- responded quickly, organized a meet and greet beforehand, and sent the cutest notes (from our dog) and photos from their time together. She also was super conscientious about our house key/safety. Will definitely use Elizabeth again!”

“Sabrina is so great with our dog. She clearly cares about her and is very communicative and reliable with us. We appreciate her notes and her flexibility too!”

“Stacey is super communicative and kind, and great with our extra-sniffy Lab. We just moved to the area and are so happy to have someone great in the area we can rely on!”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire childhood, and learned to care for many different types of dogs early on in life. While completing my undergrad I spent 3 years as a live-in caretaker for someone with a dog, 2 cats, and a parrot (cockatoo). I have also spent 3 months caring for a service dog, however other than those 3 months I lack much experience in that field. I'm about to start my masters degree at UW, where i'll be studying music performance. This means there will probably be times everyday where I will need to be out & about. I will have a better idea about schedule flexibility once we get closer to semester start! Once I have the info I need I will edit this section accordingly :) I have worked with animals of many behavioral styles and daily routines, and happy to provide whatever specific care your pet needs. I always keep a positive & engaging attitude - treats are present but definitely kept at a minimum ;) It can be an unsettling time for your pet when their people(s) need to leave for a bit, so it's important that they know that someones there for them until you return!

“Taylor was absolutely amazing with Rae! Reliable, friendly, and went out of her way to make Rae feel comfortable. I so appreciate all love and care for my pup while I was out of town!”

“Katie was great! She arrived on time and was great with communicating. She included pictures of the walk and gave detail about her visit. Will ask Katie to walk my dogs again. Thanks so much! Highly recommend!”

“We cannot recommend Grace highly enough. From the very beginning, she exceeded our expectations in the care she provided for our dog, Maggie. In addition to offering exceptional care, Grace was instrumental in helping us address Maggie’s training needs and anxiety. She took the time to understand Maggie’s unique personality, provided thoughtful guidance, and shared practical strategies that helped Maggie become more comfortable and confident when left home alone. The progress we saw was truly remarkable. What impressed us most was the genuine bond Grace developed with Maggie. Every time Maggie saw her, she would light up with excitement—wagging her tail, wiggling with happiness, and eagerly anticipating their time together. As pet owners, there is no greater reassurance than knowing your dog feels safe, happy, and loved in someone else’s care. Grace’s dedication goes far beyond day-to-day pet sitting. She is deeply invested in the well-being of the dogs she works with and consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Thanks to her influence, Maggie is happier, more confident, and better behaved. We are incredibly grateful for everything Grace has done and would wholeheartedly trust her with Maggie again.”

“Rhea helped take care of Tusker on short notice. It's clear that Rhea can read dogs well and cares about their well-being. Rhea provided detailed updated, which helped my separation anxiety!”

About: Dogs have always been family to me. I grew up with a mom who never met a stray or rescue animal she wouldn’t try to help, so caring for pets was simply part of everyday life. I’ve cared for, played with, and halfway trained many dogs through every stage, from energetic puppies to senior companions. I’ve had perfect sweethearts and anxious grumps. I loved them all. As I transition out of traditional employment to build my freelance business, I’d love to spend some of my newfound time helping local pet owners by providing safe, reliable, and fun walks for their dogs. I’m almost always home and available, and I’d love to hang out with your four-legged family member! As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. I enjoy getting out from behind a computer to grab fresh air, so dog walks fit naturally into my routine, and I genuinely look forward to spending time with animals each week. My dog Weyland would attest, but he is taking a post-breakfast nap in the sun at this moment. I find that pets are happiest when they get to stick to their routine. As a fellow dog owner who just hired a babysitter for week, I know how many bullet points and peculiarities I was compelled to jot down. It felt a bit overly involved, but at the same time I knew it was an effective roadmap for my dog’s health and happiness, as well as the babysitter’s success and ease with him. Those are the ultimate goals, so I understand how important the details are. I follow any instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, and house rules while making sure pets receive plenty of attention and affection. That’s simply what they need. My dog Weyland needs to be scowled at before he will eat his breakfast, and dinner is a whole different thing 🤷♂️ I don’t understand, but believe me, I get it.
“Mira walked my pup Peanut who can be a rascal on the leash and did a great job. Also super accommodating with some issues on getting into the building which was much appreciated! 100% would book again!”

“Alia took great care of my dog and cat. My dog gets anxiety when we are gone and she did a great job with him and provided updates on how he was doing each day. She was prompt in responses when I reached out about specific needs (she was watching them over the 4th of July and I was concerned about fireworks affecting the anxiety). I would definitely have her look after my pets again in the future!”

“Five Stars for Stephanie! Hiring Stephanie as Laddie's walker has been a game-changer! Not only is she incredibly reliable and communicative, but her genuine love for dogs shines through in everything she does. Stephanie has a magical touch that keeps Laddie happy and at ease, even on his grumpiest days. She goes above and beyond, ensuring he gets plenty of exercise and socialization. What sets Stephanie apart are her photography skills—she captures the most adorable and high-quality pictures of Laddie that are simply a joy to receive. While we are sad to see her transition away from walking to focus on boarding and daycare, we know she will bring the same dedication and care. We can't recommend Stephanie enough; your furry friends will be in the best hands with her!”

“Dylan was fantastic with Appa during her two walks! He was attentive, and clearly great with dogs. Appa came back happy and relaxed each time, and I appreciated the updates and care he provided. Would definitely recommend Dylan to anyone!”

“I really trust Deanna with my dog, Stella who has a really hard time with strangers and is very shy. Deanna does a great job with my high-needs dog and is very dependable!”

About: At 22 years old I am a cat owner of 3 and am well versed in animal care as I grew up with 4 dogs. I thoroughly enjoy interacting and caring for animals and look forward to getting a dog of my own. I own 3 cats and care for them daily. With dogs, I spent a lot of my youth caring for my 4 dogs as my parents both worked out of the house. I will not be having animals in my own home, so this is not applicable. “Alana is awesome! She took my two dogs out for walks while I was out of town. I have a boarder collie mix that can be leash aggressive and she handled him professionally (her dog has it also). I'd 100% recommended her!”

She is incredibly caring, responsive, and maintains excellent communication. Truffle formed a strong bond with her and her dog, Sasha.
