About: Hi! I'm Kate, a lifelong dog lover living in Ballard with my husband and our sweet 13-year-old Weimaraner mix, Duncan. I'm currently taking a career sabbatical, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to spend with the dogs in my care. Whether your pup needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or devoted extra attention while you're away, I'll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and personalized care. I've previously been a Rover sitter and am excited to start again! I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I'll care for your dog as if they were my own. One of my favorite ways to spend the day is exploring the neighborhood on foot. Duncan and I regularly walk around Ballard, including the Ballard Locks, Golden Gardens, Sunset Hill, and the many quiet neighborhood streets. Whether your dog enjoys a leisurely stroll or a more energetic outing, I'm happy to match their pace and routine. Before I care for your pup, I always like to do a meet and greet to make sure the energy feels good. If requesting boarding, I'll have you bring your doggo over to meet Duncan-he gets along with most dogs though as he ages he's getting a little judgemental (it's not you it's him!). I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you always know how your pup is doing while they're in my care. I'd love to meet you and your pup! I'm currently taking a career sabbatical, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits most days. I love getting outside for walks, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my routine. I'm also happy to work with your dog's normal schedule to help keep things as consistent as possible. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I'll follow your routines as closely as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, or reinforcing the habits you're working on at home. I always use secure leash handling, pay close attention to each dog's comfort level around people and other dogs, and never take unnecessary risks. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you know your pup is happy and doing well.

About: I have been trusted with friends and families fur babies for almost 8 years, and had many years living with dogs as well. I have experience giving medication, caring for dogs in times of stress and anxiety, and of course going on daily walks. I have stayed overnight with dogs whose parents are out of town and I have experience with bigger dogs, as well as smaller breeds. I have also cared for a wide array of personalities as all dogs are very different, I enjoy learning about each dog I meet and how to have a good time with them. I work part time and have plenty of mornings available for pet care, I only work late nights once or twice a week and am almost always available after 8/9pm if needed. I am often going on a walk daily and bringing a dog along with me is even better! I am always making sure to cater to a dogs wants and needs, whether that be outside time running laps and playing fetch, or having down time inside and just hanging out. I understand that each dogs needs are different and being able to provide them with a fulfilling day is something I love!

About: I've been around animals of all kinds since I was a kid. I've cared for older more needy pets, as well as those who need lots of play and attention. Each animal is a unique individual, and I love getting to know their different personalities and quirks. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and as a cat parent of 3, I understand how to "speak" cat vs dog! But don't be fooled - I may be a "cat lady", but I love dogs just as much! About: I have plenty of experience caring for cats (I've owned many throughout my life since a young age) and had a dog for a few years. I'm comfortable with litter box duty and dog walks. I love animals of all kinds! I work from home on weekdays, but my hours are flexible, so I'm available whenever needed. Afternoons are typically best for me. On any given day, 11am to 6pm is most convenient. I have a smaller room in my home that I can keep a small cat or dog in (separate from my two cats) if needed, but mostly I would be doing drop-in visits.

I follow your feeding times, walk routine, and any medication schedule exactly as you'd do it yourself, and I keep a close eye on behavior changes, especially with senior or medically complex dogs. I send photo updates throughout the stay so you always know how things are going, and I'm reachable the whole time for any questions. Drop-in visits: I come to your home for focused visits to feed, give medication if needed, let your dog out or walk them, and give them attention and companionship. I stick closely to the schedule and instructions you provide, and send updates/photos after each visit.
