“Lauren was amazing with Pepper! It’s usually really hard for me to trust anyone with my cat, but with Lauren it felt effortless. Pepper has very specific boundaries, and Lauren was so respectful and accommodating of them. She followed my care notes perfectly, kept me updated with sweet little messages, and made sure Pepper felt totally safe and loved while I was away. I could tell from the photos that Pepper was relaxed and happy, which means everything to me. Truly grateful to have found someone I can trust like this and highly recommend Lauren for your next booking!”

“Minerva did an excellent job watching my pup Maple during two drop in visits. She was communicative, sent cute pics, and was available last minute. Thanks!”

About: Lover of all things animal! I have prior dog-walking and sitting experience as well as two kitties of my own that I absolutely adore. Animals are truly the best (far superior to humans in so many ways) and being around them really brightens my day. One day, given I have more space, I would love a small Noah's ark of animals. I love getting outside and, let's be honest, those 10,000 steps aren't going to walk themselves. Your pup can help with that, I'm sure. Keeping your fur-child (or fur-children) happy and healthy is my absolute first priority and I can't wait to meet them! Please feel free to message me with any questions. Let me take your best friend on an adventure. I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to do just that. Rain or shine, it is Seattle after all. I would be more than happy to keep your fur-friends fed, watered and happy in your home while you’re away. I’ll make sure they have walks, potty breaks, food, water and plenty of pets. Alternatively, if you’d like to drop your BFF off at my house, we can talk logistics. No barky barky and okay with cats. I’ve done it in the past and it’s been nice.
“Melissa is a great cat sitter. Super interested in my two cats and awesome about keeping the house clean and caring for the litter boxes. Wonderfully trustworthy.”

“Danielle was incredibly thorough with her daily care and updates. Danielle was timely and maintained great communication. Highly recommended, your pets will be in capable and compassionate hands. As an unexpected bonus all the pet areas were clean and tidy upon our return.”

About: As a kid, I was obsessed with animals. I watched Animal Planet nightly, and truly believed that when I grew up I would simultaneously be a zoologist, veterinarian, AND own my own animal shelter. Even though I didn't quite live up to little me's standards, I have been lucky enough to gain years of experience caring for all types of pets for friends, roommates, neighbors, family, and clients. I grew up with Rowan, a vizsla, who was a lovable and sometimes needy dog companion. I continued to gain experience taking care of cats, rodents, and dogs, young and old, large and small. I am now the happy dog parent to my own dog, a retired racing greyhound. Through my experience dog sitting and adjusting a rescue dog to my household, I have gained opportunities to learn and navigate behavioral issues like resource guarding, separation anxiety, and leash reactivity. I have taken care of puppies with lots of energy, shy dogs, as well as older dogs who require assistance with medication or mobility (going up and down stairs, etc). * At this time I am not taking on new dog clients with reactivity, resource guarding, or aggressive tendencies. * I am a relaxed and outgoing person, who loves to hike, travel, and spend time with animals. I am responsible, timely, and communicative, and I look forward to meeting and taking care of your furry best friend! We'll have a great time :) Hope to hear from you soon! I currently have open availability and lots of flexibility for drop ins for your pets. Happy to adjust as needed for what works best for us both! I am not able to host pets in my home, however I can travel and stay at your house if needed. I am a respectful and trustworthy house guest and will be sure to follow any requests you have for me when entering your home.
About: Hi Rover Community! I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! I have been pet sitting for close to 11 years. I have pet sat for a variety of pets from puppies/kittens to older animals and even given medicine. I now live with a my friendly, intact 3 year old chocolate lab who gets along with most dogs but sadly Huskies are not our friend. I work from home and am able to help during the day or while you’re gone. Know that when your dog is in great hands when he stays with us. We love going on adventures and meeting dogs needs! If that’s playing fetch, they love to sniff on walks, go to dog parks, like the water, like to hike etc those things will happen when they stay with us. But if they also need to stay away from busy areas, are older/not as active, they will have that same lazy time staying with us. Other things to note: I have fostered puppies/dogs from a local rescue We go on lunch walks and after work walks as I work from home. When staying with us unless told otherwise we mostly likely will go to a dog park You will be updated on their stay with us If having a same day drop off would want to meet outside the apartment. I am a semi-active but like to chill at home or have an adventure with the dogs. I am very respectful of people's homes and space. If you would like us to stay at your place my dog would have to come but am very loving and friendly person who is responsible and attentive to owners needs. I work from home M-F. M,W,TH,F I go on a lunchtime walk and Tuesdays for a few hours we have a dachshund who visits for a few hours. We go on an after work walk around 4pm but can do evening walks too. My dog would accompany me if you want us to go to your place to pick up your dog, but can also drop them off at my apartment. If in my home, pets will be fed and taken to parks and walked plus have the opportunity to play with my dog. If we are watching in your home, will respect rules. My dog is well behaved.

“Kim was very communicative and reliable! She helped us on a last minute basis after we had a cancellation. We are so grateful for her help and would love to work with her again!”

“Lindsey allowed us to rest on our vacation knowing she was taking great care of Kuma. Thanks so much for jumping in to watch Kuma and allow him to be comfortable in his own home, Lindsey!”

“Chelsie is the best!! She took excellent care of our fur baby while we were away. She sent great recaps with each visit. We knew that Milo was in the best care with her! We will absolutely be booking her for future vacations 😻”

About: Do you have a feisty feline? Raucous rover? Fearful fido? I love all animals, but I have a big heart for dogs and cats who need a little extra understanding and TLC. I fostered cats and dogs and walked shelter dogs of all ages and breeds for 20 years, in addition to sitting pets independently for several years and having my own cats and dogs my entire life. I have training and experience in fear-free/force-free handling (positive reinforcement) and a good understanding of dog body language. I love getting to know each animal as an individual, with their own preferences and quirks. I also have experience caring for puppies and kittens, as well as senior animals. I am comfortable administering medications, injections and sub-Q fluids. For dogs who prefer to exercise/potty in their own yards, I can spend time playing brain games and doing light training to provide enrichment. If you have a particularly energetic pup, I am also available for longer hikes in local parks. I am transitioning to making pet care my main job, and I'm available most days and times, unless I'm traveling myself. I'm happy to do drop-ins and walks on weekends. Safety is my top priority. For walks, I make sure that the dog has a well-fitting harness and a collar with identification. I typically use a waist belt for larger dogs, so they are attached to me and cannot pull away. Out in the world, we will maintain a safe distance from other dogs at all times. I will want to know if your dog has any history of escaping or bolting when frightened. With both dogs and cats, I am extremely cautious around doors, since I have plenty of experience with escape artists (please let me know if this has been an issue with your pet). I require an initial meet and greet so that I can get to know your pet and their needs.
“Melissa was great with my two cats. One of them needs medications daily and she was able to give her all the doses. I loved the photos she takes of them too. I highly recommend Melissa!”

“Emma was great. She's friendly, loving, and very easy to speak to. We had to cancel a visit due to last minute trip cancellation. Emma was very helpful and rescheduled the visit to a different date. Our cats seemed to love her.”

“Liza is amazing! She’s taken care of my cat Phoebe a few times while I’ve been out of town. Phoebe loves her, and I know Phoebe is in great hands. Liza also picked up some packages for me that were delivered when I was gone, which was very helpful. I will definitely book Liza again.”

“Yasmin dropped in to take care of our 2 pups while we were away. Our dogs (even our anxious shy boy) were excited to meet her during the meet & greet, and she was very responsive leading up to and during the visit.”

“Ana stepped in on short notice and did a great job tending to our cats. She was responsive and sent great photos. We would be happy to have her watch our cats again!”

“Melissa is absolutely amazing. She did house visits for my cat twice a day for weeks while I was gone and made sure Momo (my cat) was very well taken care of. Her daily wonderful (and so funny) updates definitely gave me a peace of mind during travels. I'll for sure contact her to pet sit next time.”

“Absolutely fantastic dog sitter/walker! We are so fortunate to have met him. He has been extremely flexible, an excellent communicator, and very fast with responses. We are very impressed, and thrilled to be working with him! Five stars all around!”
