About: My experience with dogs: -obedience training -puppies -energetic breeds -grooming/bathing -giving medication I live in a pet-friendly house with a fenced yard and near Greenlake and I have have hosted many dogs prior. I am an active individual (I teach Martial Arts) and I would rather hang out with animals than just about anything else. I am patient and consistent and will give my full attention to you pet when they are under my care. I am also more than happy to reinforce any training and behavior correction etc. you are working on with your dog. My teaching schedule offers some flexibility and I start my workday at noon during the week. Wednesdays and Sundays I have available and devoted specifically to dog-walking and sitting.

About: A life time around dogs turns into exceptional pet care. Growing up, my family always had a furry companion so I believe a happy home is complete with tail wagging. I work remote every day of the week except Wednesdays when I am gone from 7A-5P, while my partner is a caretaker and is home every day, so your furry friend is always in good company. Important hours 🦴 We are flexible and do our best to accommodate your schedule, if there’s a barrier we will communicate so. App communication hours are set to 9 AM–9 PM. Safety is a priority, our home is equipped with gates to keep pets away from the front door and stairs while they’re allowed to free roam the main floor. Your pal will enjoy a fully fenced yard of a split level, hardwood home with both grassy and paved areas, offering a variety of surfaces for play. Along with shaded trees and garden beds that provide plenty of natural scents to keep curious noses engaged to sniff and explore during supervised outdoor time.

About: I've had dogs and cats since I was a little kid. I've walked, pet sat, and cared for all varieties of dogs (not to mention goats, llamas, and chickens). I find it important to spend time learning an animal's signals and body language so that I understand how they respond and can build trust from the start. I only use positive reinforcement and have experience working with leash reactive dogs. Monday-Wednesday: before 8 AM and after 5 PM Thursday: 12 PM - 5:30 PM Friday: before 10:30 AM and after 3 PM Weekends: 6 AM - 6 PM I am able to travel to your home to take your pet(s) for a walk or to hang out and play, depending on what you prefer. I am happy to develop a regular pet care schedule or to do one-time drop ins as needed. I will typically take dogs for a 30-60 minute walk, either around the neighborhood where you live or in a nearby park, depending on your preference and your dog's temperament. Before leaving I will ensure that the dog has fresh water available. For drop in visits, we can discuss how you'd like your pet to be taken care of. Maybe your pet likes to chill in the yard, or wants some ear scratches while you're at work or any number of other things. I am happy to spend time with your, undoubtedly adorable, pet.

About: I have always intuitively understood and naturally connected with dogs throughout my life. I have personal experience raising my own dog from a 2-month old puppy to the well-behaved adult he is today. My balanced approach will allow your dog to have fun adventures, while establishing firm boundaries that they know not to cross. If you have any training you're currently working on with your dog, I'm happy to maintain it to keep consistency. Overall, I am a physically active person who will make sure your pup gets plenty of exercise and love! I already have an active daily routine with my own dog (walks, dog park, hiking, running, play dates) - I am capable of watching multiple dogs based on prior experience and currently have capacity to take on more through Rover. I currently am not working and doing school online so I should be home most of the time. A complimentary 30-minute Meet & Greet is required for any services that are for extended durations (daycare, boarding, and house-sitting) to ensure mutual fit for all humans and dogs involved...if an additional Meet & Greet is needed, it will be charged at my regular dog walking/drop in visit rates. The meeting spot will be at my home for daycare/boarding (your home for house-sitting). During this time, I will give a tour of my place and discuss the house rules - I'll also be making initial observations on how your dog interacts with my dog, as well as how they respond to a new environment. Dogs who defecate/urinate or are scared/anxious (shaking or hiding behind the owners the entire time) during the Meet & Greet are likely not a good candidate for boarding/daycare at my place and I would recommend booking the house-sitting service instead at that point. Similarly if you already know your dog is not consistently potty trained (needs to use pee pads/diapers, excited/scared pees, pees or poops to mark indoors), reliably crate trained (whines/barks/scratches in an enclosed space, needs to sleep in the bed with a human, require 24/7 attention, separation anxiety, etc.), teething/chewing things they shouldn't, excessive barking/whining and reactivity, etc. house-sitting be the best option for all parties involved. If the initial Meet & Greet at my place goes well, daycare services can now be booked. If you want to proceed with boarding, I require at least one daycare booking as a trial in order for me to monitor and assess your dog for a more extended period of time without the owner present. This will allow me to confirm your dog is fully potty and crate trained in my home, as well as no destructive tendencies/separation anxiety or excessive barking/whining/chewing. After the trial daycare, I will make a recommendation on if your dog is a suitable candidate for boarding at my home or if house-sitting would be a better alternative instead. Please know that this decision is strictly based on my professional opinion of what is best for your dog vs. financial incentive from my end. With house-sitting, I can take on dogs of all sizes as well as any cats that need care. For boarding, please provide your own crate/playpen so your dog is more familiar with it. To clarify, I do NOT plan on keeping your dog in a crate or playpen 24/7 like a kennel or larger boarding facility. However, if your dog is having trouble acclimating to a new environment (i.e. having multiple accidents or exhibits destructive behavior), they need to be crate trained as a backup. I will initially have them crated overnight and when I go out to run quick errands or am unable to supervise them - after they've demonstrated the ability for me to trust them, I will slowly give them more free reign and access to more sections of my house. It is in the best interest and safety of all dogs and humans in the environment to be more restrictive upfront (as well as protecting the home I own, furniture, and other property). For all my services, I will NOT be able to accept dogs with current/past history of aggression as I am not equipped/trained to deal with those types of situation from a liability and safety perspective.
About: I am comfortable with any dog, no matter the breed, age, activity level, or behavior! If your pup is dog friendly come join us for daycare! I offer pack walks with my pup as well as solo walks! I have experience with senior dogs as well as puppies and various behaviors/temperments! I have volunteered with shelter dogs in the past as well as experience working in daycare facilities and grooming salons! I currently am working as a junior groomer and typically am home all day during my days off unless I have something planned! During daycare we spend lots of time playing and going on adventures! About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for dogs, cats, and even bunny rabbits. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, from small to large breeds. About: (They/Them) I have lifelong experience with raising and taking care of various pets. There was never a time in my life where my family hasn't had at least one cat or dog! In my younger years, I have helped take care of smaller dogs like Yorkies and Westies, and in older years, bigger breeds like Pitbulls (I have the most experience with them!), Rottweilers, Great Danes, etc. I'm both a dog and cat person! Cats are also my bread and butter, I love any cat with all my heart. I have also raised several fish and the occasional lizard. I do not mind jumpy animals at all and have a lot of patience with skittish ones. I am experienced with both young and elderly animals. I am familiar with administering oral and topical medications as a recent caretaker of an elderly (19 years old) cat, and 13 and 11 year old Pitbulls. I am very detail oriented and will triple-check any medication dosages or food amounts. I love to spoil pets as well and give lots of affection and/or may sneak a little treat or two if you allow! ;) My parents, roommates, and friends often call me as a first resort to sit their animals while away on vacation. As an introvert, spending time with animals is my happy place! Working for Rover will be my (flexible) full time job! Most of my time commitments outside of work will be band rehearsals, performances, and nerdy activities that fuel my creative side. I am a huge night owl so I will tend to gravitate towards evening needs or overnights, but do not mind a lovely dog walk during the day! SPECIFICS: Wednesdays and Thursdays I have rehearsals in the evenings, so daytime only availability. If I am booked for an overnight, expect that on a W or Th I will be gone for 3-4 hrs those evenings depending on your location. Saturdays are usually busy for me from late Spring - early Fall, but this can be case by case. Lets chat. :) I am very respectful of other's spaces and dislike leaving messes. I operate with a "leave no trace" or "leave it better than you found it" type of attitude. I work best with clear cut boundaries and instructions in order to ensure that I am not invading or changing your personal spaces. The more clarity the better.

I've worked with dogs of all temperaments and sizes through volunteer work at various shelters and rescues, and would love to take your dog for a walk, run, or whatever he/she needs to be happy and healthy! I adore dogs of all kinds, and would love to help yours feel loved at home while you are away! My experience administering medication I've administered oral medication, but never injections. Because I've never done injections, I don't feel comfortable administering them. If shown the proper way, I would feel comfortable but it depends on the dog's personality and reaction towards the injections. I am available most afternoons and evenings. I am in graduate school, so I am quite flexible and am able to accommodate overnight stays if needed for your pet. I care for pets in their own homes. I am happy to provide whatever environment makes your furry friend the most happy and comfortable while in my care.
About: I absolutely adore all dogs and love to help dog owners give their pets the love and lifestyle they deserve. I have lived with dogs my entire life and consistently pet sat. I’m very organized/punctual and will consistently provide updates on your sweet pup. I’m available for dog walking, play/potty breaks, house sitting, and boarding (provided it is a good fit). Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! I have a flexible schedule so am available to walk or provide a play/potty break for your pup throughout the work day. I have availability for dog sitting or boarding any day of the week as long as I have 2-3 days of a heads up given. I tailor my care to each specific dog. I’m happy to provide long or short walks, brain/sniff games or fetch! I’m always always always ready to give the pup a snuggle or pets if they enjoy physical touch. At my home I have a small fenced yard that dogs can explore while I am outside with them. I live on a quiet street with a pedestrian first street which is perfect for walks. Dogs are allowed on the couch (we have to have a place to snuggle!) and will be crated when I am gone (never more than 3 hours during the day) and for bed time.

“I have been using Rover for years now, and I can confidently say that Maiko is the BEST Rover dog sitter I've ever had and I will try every time to secure a stay with her for my mini bernedoodle, Trixie, in the future. Maiko only sits for one dog at a time, is a dog lover and former dog owner herself (who sadly lost her own pup about a year ago), a near-professional photographer who sent us the best photos of Trixie we have ever had(!), and her two young children adored and were so good with Trixie as well.
