“Although my 6-year-old miniature dachshund, Piper, has stayed with friends/family before, this was my first time using a professional service like Rover and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Maria was exceptionally responsive and flexible with timing. She sent plenty of photos/videos/updates during our short weekend trip that truly set our minds at ease. Piper has cerebellar hypoplasia (the wobbly disease) and has trouble with fine motor skills. Maria had no issue altering her care to suit Piper's limitations. She even took Piper out to a cafe in a stroller for enrichment since she physically can't walk far on her own! About: Lover of all things animal! I have prior dog-walking and sitting experience as well as two kitties of my own that I absolutely adore. Animals are truly the best (far superior to humans in so many ways) and being around them really brightens my day. One day, given I have more space, I would love a small Noah's ark of animals. Keeping your fur-child (or fur-children) happy and healthy is my absolute first priority and I can't wait to meet them! Please feel free to message me with any questions. Let me take your best friend on an adventure or have them hang with me while I WFH. Rain or shine, it is Seattle after all. I WFH Mondays and Fridays, but it’s flexible. Just let me know! I would be more than happy to keep your fur-friends fed, watered and happy in your home while you’re away. I’ll make sure they have walks, potty breaks, food, water and plenty of pets. About: In terms of everyday pets, cats are my absolute jam. How can you resist something so cute?! I have experience with kittens all the way to elderly cats who need a lot of care. About: I’ve been a pet owner and caretaker my entire life! I’ve owned large and small dogs, cats, fish, and even guinea pigs. I have fed, played with, walked, cleaned up after, and cared for many pets over the years. I have a lot of experience in stray cat rescue and rehabilitation as well, and have even bottle fed newborn kittens! About: When I was just a little kid a big parrot flew into our house, and I kept it as a pet from the age of 6 to 18. Then when I went off to college my parents took care of it. After college I helped take care of my sister’s dogs. And I lived with a girl for a while who owned two cats that I took care of so I have lots of experience with different animals. I even used to own a guinea pig at one point in my life. So my entire life has revolved around taking care of pets. So I figured this would be a great job for me. I’m extremely loving and caring and will treat your pets just like I would mind. I’m a very loving and caring person. I currently am unemployed. I’m looking for a job, but as of right now, my schedule is fully open. So please hit me up whenever I need the money. Well, besides the basics like feeding them and making sure they’re going to the bathroom and drinking water, I always play with them. Show them attention when they want attention and don’t show them attention when they don’t want attention. I’m pretty good at reading body language of an animal. I love playing with dogs and cats. I know it’s important for them to get out their energy so they can have a good night sleep. I love going on walks. So I also do that in anything else like taking them to the dog park

“As someone who typically works from home, I was incredibly anxious about having to leave my 2-year-old, 85-pound pup, Colin, for the first time while I was away. Finding Edith completely changed everything and gave me total peace of mind. From the very beginning, she was a true professional. She came over for a complimentary meet-and-greet to get to know Colin before our schedule started, and she asked all the right questions to make sure she understood his routine and quirks. Colin is a giant ball of pure energy, but Edith was absolutely amazing with his size and pace. She was so attentive that during a walk, she even noticed when Colin got super excited and immediately recognized that they were passing his best friend’s house! Edith was incredibly reliable, always on time, and great about sending updates when she was on her way. About: (They/Them) I have lifelong experience with raising and taking care of various pets. There was never a time in my life where my family hasn't had at least one cat or dog! In my younger years, I have helped take care of smaller dogs like Yorkies and Westies, and in older years, bigger breeds like Pitbulls (I have the most experience with them!), Rottweilers, Great Danes, etc. I'm both a dog and cat person! Cats are also my bread and butter, I love any cat with all my heart. I have also raised several fish and the occasional lizard. I do not mind jumpy animals at all and have a lot of patience with skittish ones. I am experienced with both young and elderly animals. I am familiar with administering oral and topical medications as a recent caretaker of an elderly (19 years old) cat, and 13 and 11 year old Pitbulls. I am very detail oriented and will triple-check any medication dosages or food amounts. I love to spoil pets as well and give lots of affection and/or may sneak a little treat or two if you allow! ;) My parents, roommates, and friends often call me as a first resort to sit their animals while away on vacation. As an introvert, spending time with animals is my happy place! Working for Rover will be my (flexible) full time job! Most of my time commitments outside of work will be band rehearsals, performances, and nerdy activities that fuel my creative side. I am a huge night owl so I will tend to gravitate towards evening needs or overnights, but do not mind a lovely dog walk during the day! SPECIFICS: Wednesdays and Thursdays I have rehearsals in the evenings, so daytime only availability. If I am booked for an overnight, expect that on a W or Th I will be gone for 3-4 hrs those evenings depending on your location. Saturdays are usually busy for me from late Spring - early Fall, but this can be case by case. Lets chat. :) I am very respectful of other's spaces and dislike leaving messes. I operate with a "leave no trace" or "leave it better than you found it" type of attitude. I work best with clear cut boundaries and instructions in order to ensure that I am not invading or changing your personal spaces. The more clarity the better.

About: I’m a huge animal lover and have been taking care of them my whole life. I grew up around farm animals, with 3 big dogs and now have two cats of my own, who I treat as my children! My ultimate dream in life is to live on a farm with lots of land and adopt all the animals who need a home! I just moved to North Seattle and am new to Rover, but I have many years of pet care experience and was a regular sitter of several dogs and cats where I used to live. One of my clients even had two spotted geckos who I helped take care of while they were gone! They ate live crickets which were interesting to handle and fun to watch when they devoured them! I work six days a week, but they are shorter shifts, only about 25 minutes from home. I am able to provide walks and lots of love throughout the day before I leave for work, and after! We also have a backyard with a deck and an area for them to potty. We like to hang outside a lot in the summer and have some toys that they can play with. I am also happy to administer medications if need be. My cats are older and get meds every other day! Sometimes there is just one dog at the house and sometimes there are five all at once and it’s pretty great! Your animals will be well taken care of because I will also treat them as my own. I am also happy to stay at your house if need be! I also work as a gymnastics coach but mostly during the early evening and night time, typically about 3:30-9:00 most days, I’m off on Sundays. I have the mornings and early afternoons to do what I want. We have a fenced in yard and 3 cats in the house. There are gates to each set of stairs to block them off if needed. We also have space for a crate in the house.
