I work remotely from 8:30am–5pm. I don’t have a laptop I can easily bring with me since I work from a large monitor setup. A typical schedule would have me leaving for work in the morning, coming home during my lunch break to let the dogs out, and then spending the evening and night at your home. If needed, another option would be for me to bring my monitor setup to your home and work there. Which means I’ll be able to spend the whole day (and night) with your pup.

Safety, trust & environment
It is very important for me to follow your pet’s usual routine and any instructions you leave for me. I’m very cautious about pet safety. I make sure not to leave plastic bags, sharp or small objects, or anything else potentially dangerous within reach. I’m also careful to close doors quickly so the cats don’t accidentally slip outside. And the same goes for boarding! My apartment is fully puppy-proofed and set up to be a safe, comfortable environment for pets. I I live in a spacious apartment of around 1,000 sq. ft., so there’s plenty of room for play and relaxation.

Information Karen L. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful to know your pet’s personality, routine, energy level, and anything they may be nervous around. I’d also like to know how they do with other dogs, cats, and people, along with anything that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Please also let me know about any aggression or resource guarding. I have a food aggressive dog so I have experience managing it, but I like to be prepared ahead of time.
A typical day
A typical day for me is making sure dogs and cats get a good mix of mental and physical stimulation. For dogs, I like doing a slower sniff walk so they can explore and decompress, along with a brisk walk and/or some playtime for exercise. How much activity we do will depends on the dog. For cats, I usually do about 10–15 minutes of play 1–3 times a day, depending on their personality and energy level. I always try to make sure each pet is getting the right amount of exercise, attention, and enrichment for them. Dog parks are also an option if you’re comfortable with it and give me permission!

Pet care experience
I’m a detail oriented person who genuinely loves getting to know each dog and their personality. I enjoy learning their routines, little quirks, and what makes them feel happy and comfortable. I want pets to feel like they’re getting more than just the basics while they’re in my care. My goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, while keeping things as close to their normal routine as possible. I also try to make sure they get plenty of attention, play, and enrichment so they can have a fun time while their people are away!

Reviews

Keren took amazing care of our two cats and our dog while we were away. From day one, our dog absolutely loved her, and that says a lot because he doesn’t warm up to everyone so quickly. It was clear that she was good with him because he didn’t even seem to miss us! We would absolutely trust her with our pets again
Karen was great! Will definitely reach out in the future if we’re ever in need.

Karen did a great job and sent plenty of pictures!

Our experience with Karen, from messaging, to scheduling a meet and greet, to the actual visits, were smooth and easy. Karen took great care of our cats. She was on time and sent pictures and information each day, so we knew how they were doing.
