“Xan was amazing with Beckett, and the pictures he took were the best!! Xan was punctual, really communicative, and had the best chill vibe for my anxious dog. I will definitely book again!! Thank you Xan!!”

“Shriya is the best! Very attentive and caring. Gives my 75lb dog a good long walk while I’m at work midday. Even helped grabbing a package I kept missing from UPS! Highly recommend :)”

“Kind and helpful. Sunghye walked our dog while we were out of town. She would pick up at our home from my elder mother and was reportedly very prompt and courteous. Fudge was always happy to see her and well exercised on his return. Would trust her to take care of our baby any day.”

About: I've raised and trained 3 champion bloodline boxers from puppyhood through every life stage, so I'm very comfortable with high-energy dogs, giant personalities, structured routines, and the occasional stubborn streak. Today I split my time between consulting work and pet care. One unexpected benefit of leaving the traditional corporate tech grind is that I finally have the flexibility to spend more time doing something I've genuinely enjoyed for years—working with dogs. These days I provide structured walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout Ballard. I also care for pets on another pet care platform, where I've worked with everything from energetic puppies and adolescent chaos agents to shy dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra time to build trust. After years of calendars, conference calls, forecasts, and executive meetings, I've discovered I much prefer helping a nervous dog gain confidence on a walk or convincing a puppy that the mystery object they found on the sidewalk is not, in fact, a snack. The dogs are usually easier to negotiate with. Through the canine grapevine, I've also learned that my official title is apparently "The Liver Treat PEZ Dispenser." I've also spent plenty of time on the owner side of pet care. Between work travel, conferences, and long weekends away, I've personally used kennels, daycare facilities, walkers, and sitters. A lot of what I do today comes from building the kind of reliable, communicative pet care experience I always wished I had available for my own dog. My boxer Mabel serves as the unofficial Director of Backyard Operations. Her duties include squirrel surveillance, neighborhood patrol, welcoming dog friends, and eventually collapsing somewhere dramatic after a hard day of absolutely nothing. I know trusting someone new with your pet can feel stressful. My goal is simple: provide calm, structured, reliable care with plenty of communication, photos, and updates along the way so you can feel confident your dog is safe, understood, and having a great time. Pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. Dogs here get lots of attention, outdoor time, backyard breaks, play, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I’ve almost always had multiple dogs, so different personalities, energy levels, and routines feel pretty normal to me at this point. I do occasionally step out briefly for errands or appointments, so dogs staying here should be comfortable with short periods alone when needed (generally around 30 minutes to 1 hour max). Weekends around here are usually pretty relaxed — backyard time, toy play, projects around the house, and eventually everybody crashing somewhere around the dog suite afterward. I keep things calm, structured, and low-volume both in my home and when caring for pets in a client’s home. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard with direct outdoor access, high-drainage pet turf, and pavers to help keep things clean, safe, and low-mud. Dogs get supervised outdoor time, backyard play, potty breaks, naps, toy play, and their own clean crate setup for downtime when needed. I pay close attention to introductions, body language, energy levels, and overall group compatibility instead of just throwing dogs together and hoping for the best. I currently cap: - daycare at 3 dogs - boarding at 2 dogs For drop-ins and walks, I’m very respectful of people’s homes, routines, and instructions. I’m a homeowner myself, so I take trust, communication, home access, and safety very seriously. My overall approach is attentive, communicative, and low-chaos for both pets and owners.

“Erica is great- friendly, reliable, communicative- everything you want from the person looking after your dog! Erica has been doing regular walks for our dog and we are so appreciative.”

About: Hi! I’m Joni - an experienced, reliable, and genuinely animal-loving sitter based in Seattle. I grew up around animals (including time spent on a farm), so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I’m comfortable with a wide range of pets, from the largest dogs to the smallest cats. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, routine-driven, or a little quirky, I’m patient and attentive to their individual needs. I’ve also always been a pet parent myself, so I understand how important it is to know your animal is in safe, caring hands. I prioritize consistency, clear communication, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m happy to follow detailed routines, administer basic medications if needed, and provide regular updates so you have peace of mind. I follow a vegan lifestyle because I care deeply about animals and their well-being, and I bring that same level of care and respect to every pet I look after. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I treat every animal like they’re my own - and I’d love to meet yours! I have a flexible schedule and am able to prioritize pet care throughout the day, including regular walks, feeding, and attention. I’m typically home for much of the day, which allows me to maintain consistent routines and provide pets with plenty of companionship and care. I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m caring for to make sure they’re comfortable, well looked after, and getting the attention they’re used to. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and consistent environment for every pet in my care. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so I can keep things as familiar and comfortable as possible - whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet time. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-safe space and closely supervise pets, making sure they’re secure and never left unattended for long periods. I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any changes so I can respond quickly if something seems off. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions carefully, keeping routines consistent and providing regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals - from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and farm animals - so I’m comfortable adapting to different needs and ensuring every pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease.

About: My teens are available for cat and dog visits this summer. DOGS: We are experienced dog owners and understand the need for dogs to get their daily sniffs and walks. Previous dogs we've owned before they crossed the rainbow bridge: Bernese Mnt Dog and Malamute CATS: We have been a foster parents for over 5 years and have cared for more than 60 foster cats and kittens. We understand cat behavior, like when they're ready for pets and attention, and when they want to be left alone. Like humans, they need fresh water every day and want a clean bathroom (litter box) just like us. We have been volunteering with a variety of rescue groups for several years including Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue Group, The Whole Cat and Kaboodle, and many more. Parents have been Magnolia home owners for over 26 years; UDUB alum and a technology professional who works remotely, usually with my own cat on my lap. I'm sure you've heard the Rover horror stories of sitters backing out last minute with no recourse. You can rest assured a guaranteed booking with us. We can provide afternoon or evening feeding. We are not comfortable administering pills or needle injections. Daily litterbox cleaning and lots of pets and snuggles throughout the day. PET SAFETY: Using caution when entering the home is important to ensure cat(s) don't escape. We also ensure bedroom doors don't accidentally close that might block the cats' access to food or litter box. Happy to bring in mail and packages, too. HOME SECURITY: Packages, newspapers, and door flyers will be brought inside if we see them on your porch when we arrive. We always verify the door is securely locked after we exit.
“Quinnie has been fantastic! Our Akita is very picky but bonded with Quinnie immediately. And Quinnie has been responsive, punctual, professional, and super-easy to work with. Highly recommended!”

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats since I was about 10 years old. I absolutely adore animals, which has prompted me to frequently volunteer in animal shelters where I walk, bathe and play with dogs, as well as clean their kennel, feed them, and even provide medical care. I've always owned dogs and have frequently watched friends' and family members' animals. I have proficient experience with both puppies and senior dogs. My genuine love for animals moves me to care for your pet as if it were my own. My partner and I care for animals together. So between the two of us, there is almost always someone available to walk, play with, and generally care for your pet. I'm a strong believer in frequent potty breaks for dogs and frequent playtime/stimulation if they're energetic and need more activity. I am happy to accommodate in whatever ways necessary to make sure your animal is happy and well taken care of! I am very patient and generous with love and cuddles. I understand it can be stressful for pets to be away from their families and homes, so I always go the extra mile to make sure they feel comfortable and loved while always from their favorite humans!
Magnolia dog parents share their Rover experiences
Eleanor was absolutely fantastic! She was early to our first meet and greet and went above and beyond to make my timid dog feel comfortable. I appreciated her detailed communication during her care of Penny over the weekend. I could relax knowing Penny was in good hands. Eleanor is reliable, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her!

We cannot recommend Grace highly enough. From the very beginning, she exceeded our expectations in the care she provided for our dog, Maggie. In addition to offering exceptional care, Grace was instrumental in helping us address Maggie’s training needs and anxiety. She took the time to understand Maggie’s unique personality, provided thoughtful guidance, and shared practical strategies that helped Maggie become more comfortable and confident when left home alone. The progress we saw was truly remarkable. What impressed us most was the genuine bond Grace developed with Maggie. Every time Maggie saw her, she would light up with excitement—wagging her tail, wiggling with happiness, and eagerly anticipating their time together. As pet owners, there is no greater reassurance than knowing your dog feels safe, happy, and loved in someone else’s care. Grace’s dedication goes far beyond day-to-day pet sitting. She is deeply invested in the well-being of the dogs she works with and consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Thanks to her influence, Maggie is happier, more confident, and better behaved. We are incredibly grateful for everything Grace has done and would wholeheartedly trust her with Maggie again.
