I’m currently on a career break, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to prioritize pet care throughout my day. I’m open to regular dog walks, drop-ins, and boarding, and I work closely with pet parents to make sure timing and logistics work well for everyone involved. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship rather than fitting them around a busy workday. I’m happy to discuss schedules in advance and tailor care based on each pet’s routine and needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets by closely following their usual routine and adapting to their individual needs, whether they’re in my home or in their own familiar environment. I primarily prefer pet sitting in a client’s home, as most dogs are happiest and most comfortable in their own space. Being in a familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows me to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. I’m happy to discuss logistics in advance to ensure the living space works well for both the pet and myself, and that the owner is comfortable too. I do appreciate clean and well-maintained spaces, as this helps me focus fully on providing attentive, high-quality care — this is a non-negotiable for me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any household routines. I treat the space with respect, keep things tidy, and prioritize safety at all times. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents feel completely at ease. If care is provided in my home, I offer a calm, pet-friendly environment with structured walks, playtime, rest, and plenty of attention. I introduce dogs slowly and thoughtfully, especially when they’ll be around my own dog, to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. Across all services, my goal is to treat every pet as if they were my own — with patience, affection, structure, and clear communication.

Information Shriya R. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to understand their routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can make their stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I like to know feeding schedules, walk preferences, energy level, and how they typically behave around new people or environments. Health and safety details are especially important — including allergies, medications or supplements, past injuries, and any triggers or anxieties. I also appreciate knowing how pets do with other dogs, new noises, and outdoor spaces like supervised front-yard time. Small details really matter to me too, such as favorite toys, comfort habits, training cues, and what helps them relax. Having this information ahead of time allows me to build trust quickly and provide care that feels familiar, consistent, and tailored to each pet.
A typical day
structured, and full of attention. Mornings usually begin with a walk or supervised front-yard time so pets can stretch, sniff, and ease into the day, followed by breakfast and any supplements or basic medication as needed. Pets are never left alone for long periods and get regular check-ins, companionship, and rest throughout the day. We follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — including walk schedules, feeding times, play, and quiet downtime. During the day, pets enjoy a mix of indoor relaxation and supervised front-yard time for fresh air and light activity. Evenings include another walk or yard time, dinner, and calm bonding before bedtime so pets feel settled and comfortable. What fun activities will you do with the pets you watch? We tailor activities to each pet’s energy level and personality. This includes neighborhood walks, supervised play and exploration in our front yard, light fetch, enrichment games, and indoor play. For more relaxed or senior pets, we focus on gentle movement, companionship, and cozy downtime. We also enjoy spending one-on-one time with pets — whether that’s brushing, reinforcing training cues, or simply sitting together. Safety and comfort are always our top priorities, and we make sure every pet feels secure, cared for, and at home while they’re with us.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Shriya — a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. Back home, I grew up with two German Shepherds and a Pomeranian, and being involved in their daily care shaped my understanding of dogs from a very young age. For the past 7+ years, I’ve been a dedicated Pomsky parent, and I now have my dog Glacier, a friendly and well-socialized Pomsky, living with me here. Caring for Glacier has reinforced the importance of structure, patience, daily routines, and emotional connection — from walks and playtime to grooming, enrichment, and calm companionship. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also had experience caring for client dogs, and I’m grateful that several past clients have shared kind reviews about their experiences with me. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and communicative, always keeping pet parents updated so they feel completely at ease. I’m comfortable with large, high-energy breeds as well as smaller dogs, and I tailor my care to each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Your baby will be in safe, loving hands 🤍 If you’d like to know more about me, Glacier, or see if I’m a good fit for your pet, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to chat. Looking forward to meeting some wonderful furry companions!

Reviews
Shriya was such an amazing sitter for our elderly’ish pit bull. She took the time during the initial meeting to understand what he needs, what “normal” looks like for him and how to make him feel happy while we were away (for two weeks!!). I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter for their furry little friend. Thank you Shriya!

Shriya is clearly a dog lover! She did daily walks for our pup and did it with such care. Can’t wait to use her again.

Shriya did a fantastic job taking care of my senior dog, spending extra time each day to establish a bond, play and ensure my girl was exceptionally well taken care of. I highly recommend her - five+ stars.

Shriya has been great with our dog — really responsive on scheduling and sharing helpful details about his walks.
