I work part time and have plenty of mornings available for pet care, I only work late nights once or twice a week and am almost always available after 8/9pm if needed. I am often going on a walk daily and bringing a dog along with me is even better!

Safety, trust & environment
I am always making sure to cater to a dogs wants and needs, whether that be outside time running laps and playing fetch, or having down time inside and just hanging out. I understand that each dogs needs are different and being able to provide them with a fulfilling day is something I love!
Information Claire J. would like to know about your pet
I think to best know a pet it’s important to know their boundaries, things like where they don’t like to be pet, what kind of other pets they may not like and how they interact with other animals in what scenarios. All pets are so different and it takes time to get to know them but having a basic understanding of what kind of play styles they like, what kind of treat or appreciations they respond well to and their annoyances really helps.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on long, stimulating walks to the park, nearby beach or through a hike! If a dog has a shorter exercise span I enjoy taking them on shorter walks or playing inside, I love fetch and tug of war as much as they do.

Pet care experience
I have been trusted with friends and families fur babies for almost 8 years, and had many years living with dogs as well. I have experience giving medication, caring for dogs in times of stress and anxiety, and of course going on daily walks. I have stayed overnight with dogs whose parents are out of town and I have experience with bigger dogs, as well as smaller breeds. I have also cared for a wide array of personalities as all dogs are very different, I enjoy learning about each dog I meet and how to have a good time with them.
Cat care experience

Claire also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Claire has dog sat my puppy Alice twice now and both times I believe she’s done an excellent job! She sends picture updates and has followed all my instructions. Alice and I both have grown quite fond of Claire will continue to use her in the future.
Clair has watched my dog Onyx and he’s OBSESSED with her! Takes him on scenic walks and really pays attention to him. Being new to Seattle it’s tough to find a trustworthy sitter and we’ve been blessed! 10/10
Claire has been absolutely amazing & caring with my cat. I have a very shy cat, she was patient & kind dealing with her. I always have felt safe with her checking, feeding and looking after her when I need someone to. She is a truly patient person who loves animals of all kinds.
Claire has built genuine connections with each of my pets; 2 cats and 1 dog, all with a lot of their own quirks and personalities. Claire handles each of them with so much love and care. Her ability to get them to play and relax is a testament to her care and curiosity. My pets love her and it’s a huge comfort to leave them with such a dedicated sitter.
