About: Hi, I’m Jolene. I have over 40 years taking care of pets, both my own, and for friends and family. I’m recently retired and just getting started—nothing brings me more joy than spending time with animals. Communication is important to me and I’m happy to send updates and photos of your pet while you’re away! I am fully retired and have lots of available time. I spend most days visiting the Woodland Park Zoo, and love seeing my grand dog in Ballard frequently! Privacy and security is very important to me. I worked in banking for over 29 years with access to sensitive information. I am very respectful of other people’s homes and environments.

About: I’m a lover of all dogs and cats! I trained my husky-mix Lila from a pup to a dog in her prime and have house sat many cats. I’ve attended many advanced obedience and agility classes and would love to teach your pets these skills when out on our walks and home visits. If a friend is out of town, I’m the person they call to help with their pet. I’m a dependable, kind, pet owner who would love to befriend your fluffy loved one! I’m currently taking a break from the corporate life and have a lot of time on my hands during weekdays! Unfortunately, I’m not available most weekends, but I can make exceptions. For the first meeting, I like to meet the pet with the pet parent to get a sense of their temperament and comfort level with me. Creating a secure and stress-free environment is my top priority. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, I ensure they feel like a true member of the family. A Comfortable Home Environment: Choice of Sleeping: Every guest has a dedicated "safe place" to retreat to, but I believe in total comfort. Pets are more than welcome to snuggle up in bed with me if that’s where they feel most secure and happy! Personal Space: To prevent any stress during mealtimes, each pet has their own designated station for food and fresh water. Play & Mental Stimulation: I dedicate one-on-one time to every pet for interactive play and engagement. We have a huge variety of toys to keep them entertained! Treats & Care: I love spoiling my guests with tasty treats, though I am very strict about checking for allergies or specific dietary instructions from owners first. Safety & Peace of Mind: Because I have a small, cat-friendly dog of my own, my home is already set up to be a pet-safe zone. I am very attentive to body language and ensure that all interactions between animals are supervised and positive. You can expect regular photo updates and messages so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having!
