“Kona was wonderfully communicative and very flexible with our dog walking needs over the past few weeks in a unique situation. She went the extra mile to ensure that all parties involved could communicate and have their questions answered. Most importantly, Huck was well taken care of while we were away! Thanks Kona!”

About: Animals have always been at the heart of my life. I have cared for pets of all kinds since I was young, and for 17 years my closest companion was my cat, who passed away a few years ago. For the past four years, I have been the proud dog mom to a sweet rescue pit bull. Working with a reactive dog has given me hands-on experience with patience, consistency, and a deeper understanding of canine behavior. I have learned how to read cues, build trust, and create a calm, supportive environment. These are skills I bring to every pet I care for. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with attention, respect, and genuine care. Whether your pup needs a structured walk, playtime, or simply a comforting presence while you are away, I am here to help. Clear and consistent communication is important to me, and I will always keep you updated so you feel confident your pet is in good hands. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm. (I am unavailable from 11am to 1pm Tuesday through Thursday.) My schedule is fairly flexible, so feel free to reach out if you need care outside of those hours. I am happy to see what we can arrange. I do not offer boarding or overnight stays, as I have a dog at home. I am comfortable following your pet’s established routines, including crating, feeding schedules, and training preferences. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities, and I will make sure you feel just as at ease as they do.
About: I grew up in a house that always had cats and a few dogs. I became addicted to the love, laughs, and mischief they bring, and I have always had a knack for earning the trust of shy and timid animals. Currently, have a sweet and shy, toothless and ruthless senior rescue cat that is my whole world. When I adopted her I spend a month reading Harry Potter allowed to her while she hid under the bed until I gained her trust, love, and devotion. We’ve been a bonded pair ever since. I also am lucky enough to have two fur-nephews (Rosco and Lewis Jr.) that are fully loaded baked potato dogs and I am lucky enough to get to love and care for them on a regular basis. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry little friend for any amount of time, and I would love to be a person you can rely on to show your fur babies love and patience while you’re away. I’m currently entering my first year of graduate school. During the week I am occupied with classes in the morning, and some days stretching into the late afternoon. Most days I am done by 3pm, others I’m done closer to noon. If you’re able to accommodate any flexibility and if afternoon/late afternoon drop ins are within your comfort zone i think I would be a good fit for your needs. My main goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and great at taking direction, so as long as I’m provided with specifications of your animal’s needs (ie. feeding and bathroom habits, favorite toys/treats/activities, as well as transparency about any reactivity triggers) you can rest assured I’m going to give your pet the love, patience, and attention it needs and deserves.
“Leslie was so incredibly accommodating! Millie was having GI upset and she was able to switch a walk to a house sit to take care of Millie. I’m so grateful!”

“Meagan is the best, again! I feel so lucky to know such great care goes into watching my pup Sadie when I'm out of town! Sadie is a lucky girl to get to spend time with her 🥰🐾❤️”

“I wasn't sure about using Rover until I met Rosy. I couldn't believe my luck to find a pal for my pup who not only has awsome credentials, but is someone I know i can trust. Although my girl is sweet, she's not the easiest to work with. Rosy has a natural talent with dogs and tremendous patience-- absolutely necessary for my spoiled girl. My pup and I are really looking forward to Rosy's next visit!”
About: Hi there! I used to live on a small six-acre ranchette 25 miles outside of downtown Austin with my five pups, three horses, three cats (my BFFs), peacocks, guinea fowl, geese, and chickens. Now, I'm a mom of a toddler living in the Ballard neighborhood. I'm dog sitting and walking this summer for fun! I recently finished my PhD and I'm enjoying a summer break with my daughter and our dog Jupiter. I’m happy to board your dog during the week, on weekends, and during the holidays. My schedule is flexible but my routine always includes dog care -- feeding, neighborhood walks, naps, and playtime. I'm currently a stay-at-home parent and my daily routine is flexible. We go for lots of neighborhood walks, and visit new parks almost every day. We are typically out of the house for only short bouts of time. I have a fenced in backyard. I have a chicken coop with four hens in the backyard; it's secured. We live on a quiet street across from a school. The house is pretty quiet. My dog Jupiter is very used to living with other dogs.
About: I’ve had my own dog for the past 6 years, so I’m very familiar with daily care and routines. In addition, my family and I regularly take care of my aunt’s dog, which has given me experience handling different personalities and needs. While I don’t have professional experience yet, I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy and love spending time with dogs. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently am finishing up High School and currently have a limited schedule on weekdays. On weekends I am completely free. Starting on May 27th after I graduate, I am completely free and flexible. I prioritize safety and always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, walks, and any specific needs. I make sure dogs are supervised, secure on walks, and comfortable in their environment. I’m patient, dependable, and will always keep you updated so you know your pet is in good hands.
About: I have experience as a professional dog grooming and 15 years experience caring for pets including multi pet households. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy adventures with a furry friend. I love animals and animals love me. I have open availability to caring for pets in their home or in mine as well as dog walking. I am currently not working and have just finished a 5 week housesitting gig I do not have any pets in my home, and can accommodate up to 2 small pets. I am able to care for multiple pets including cats, dogs, reptiles, guinea pigs and aquatic pets in their homes.
Whittier Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Victoria is a great communicator and does a great job caring for my dog. She is great at rolling with the punches not matter what my dogs mood is, sometimes she wants to walk sometimes she wants to lay in the sun and Victoria is great at accommodating it all. She also is flexible with my random schedule changes!

We cannot recommend Grace highly enough. From the very beginning, she exceeded our expectations in the care she provided for our dog, Maggie. In addition to offering exceptional care, Grace was instrumental in helping us address Maggie’s training needs and anxiety. She took the time to understand Maggie’s unique personality, provided thoughtful guidance, and shared practical strategies that helped Maggie become more comfortable and confident when left home alone. The progress we saw was truly remarkable. What impressed us most was the genuine bond Grace developed with Maggie. Every time Maggie saw her, she would light up with excitement—wagging her tail, wiggling with happiness, and eagerly anticipating their time together. As pet owners, there is no greater reassurance than knowing your dog feels safe, happy, and loved in someone else’s care. Grace’s dedication goes far beyond day-to-day pet sitting. She is deeply invested in the well-being of the dogs she works with and consistently demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Thanks to her influence, Maggie is happier, more confident, and better behaved. We are incredibly grateful for everything Grace has done and would wholeheartedly trust her with Maggie again.

I love Madison, as a trainer and dog walker! She's my go-to for care for my puppy. She's kind, professional, communicative, and balances the needs of the dogs she works with the concerns/challenges that us pet parents carry. My puppy is a challenge (high energy, reactive) and Madison really knows how to work with her. I can't recommend her enough.
