“Michael was an amazing sitter for my dog and communicator for me!! We had a last minute schedule change and were traveling to Seattle unexpectedly. Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Maria is amazing!! Our pup can be a little nervous in new environments and Maria went out of her way to make sure she was comfortable and getting lots of time outside!! We got tons of updates and photos and I felt so confident that my girl was being well taken care of! I will certainly use Maria’s services again!!”

“Devan was excellent with Pepper, and was extremely meticulous in his communication. We received constant text and photo updates during his stay and that’s one of the most important qualities when caring for a pet.”

“Our Mini Schnauzer Carl had a wonderful time again with Jessica and Mochi. We receive multiple updates and photos per day. Carl got lots of walks and play time. Timeliness and detail of communication is always perfect. Thanks so much!”

“Our dogs have never been happier or more well cared for. Ponyo is great with animals and the communication and planning is easy, clear, and enjoyable. I would trust this caretaker with any pet at any time. Such a great experience and lovely home environment.”
“Always happy Winston is with Sofia when we are away! Sofia accommodates our schedule so well and takes the best care of Winston. It has been a great match for everyone!”

“Adrienne was wonderful to Rocko and he was treated like family. He really bonded with her and the other pooches while he visited and he came back relaxed and happy. He enjoyed some car rides (he loves them), walks, and we got lovely pictures of him throughout the stay curled up and relaxed. Adrienne's communication was excellent and hand-off was easy. We always feel bad leaving our pup (who has separation anxiety and bays) but were glad to see how good his weekend was!”
“Ana took such good care of Coco! Ana sent me many pictures and updates. I knew Coco was taken care of and loved by Ana and her family. I will definitely reach out again to have Coco stay with Ana.”

“Aron took great care of our pup over the weekend! She was definitely spoiled with love and loved hanging out with a dog buddy (and she came home cleaner than when we dropped her off!) Aron clearly is a dog lover and we’d be happy to have him take care of our dog again.”

“Regina was so reliable, communicative, responsive, and friendly! She organized a meet-and-greet and answered all my questions in advance. When a medical issue came up with my dog shortly before the stay, Regina was understanding and helped administer medications during the stay. She even sent my pup home with a new toy! Recommend without hesitation!”

“Emily is the dog whisperer! My senior dog who dislikes most people thrived in her care. I felt she was well taken care of and had limited to no anxiety because of it!”

“Brenda took wonderful care of our dog, Zelda, during our 4 day trip. Zelda can be a finicky eater and also chews up paper, so leaving her with a caring and attentive Rover really helps us be able to travel with ease. Zelda did great under Brenda's care, and came home happy and healthy. I definitely recommend booking with Brenda and will rebook in the future! Thank you so much!”

“My first time using rover and such a great experience. I received photo updates of the adventures which was greatly appreciated. Will definetely book again!”

“Anne was awesome! She took great care of my two cats while I was away. What impressed me the most was her clear, concise communication and the effort she put in to bond with my kitties. She took extra time to play with them and give them company, alongside the brass tacks of feeding and cleaning. As long as she is willing, I’ll be trusting her with my cats anytime I need a sitter.”

“Krys was so good with my kitties! She took great photos and videos, helped one of them with his medicine, was very communicative, and overall was just awesome. Came home to two very content cats!”

“Dawnula took excellent care of our senior kitty while we were away for the holidays! We will book with her again and recommend her to anyone. She came over for a meet-and-greet and her updates while we were gone were so appreciated.”

“Simran did great with our two cats when we needed last minute help. One of our babies is shy and hides from nearly everyone, but Simran was able to get acquainted very quickly. She gave them lots of love everyday. She also made sure to keep the kitty areas clean. We’ll definitely be booking again🙏”

About: Hi! I’m Joni - an experienced, reliable, and genuinely animal-loving sitter based in Seattle. I grew up around animals (including time spent on a farm), so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I’m comfortable with a wide range of pets, from the largest dogs to the smallest cats. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, routine-driven, or a little quirky, I’m patient and attentive to their individual needs. I’ve also always been a pet parent myself, so I understand how important it is to know your animal is in safe, caring hands. I prioritize consistency, clear communication, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m happy to follow detailed routines, administer basic medications if needed, and provide regular updates so you have peace of mind. I follow a vegan lifestyle because I care deeply about animals and their well-being, and I bring that same level of care and respect to every pet I look after. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I treat every animal like they’re my own - and I’d love to meet yours! I have a flexible schedule and am able to prioritize pet care throughout the day, including regular walks, feeding, and attention. I’m typically home for much of the day, which allows me to maintain consistent routines and provide pets with plenty of companionship and care. I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m caring for to make sure they’re comfortable, well looked after, and getting the attention they’re used to. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and consistent environment for every pet in my care. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so I can keep things as familiar and comfortable as possible - whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet time. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-safe space and closely supervise pets, making sure they’re secure and never left unattended for long periods. I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any changes so I can respond quickly if something seems off. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions carefully, keeping routines consistent and providing regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals - from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and farm animals - so I’m comfortable adapting to different needs and ensuring every pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease.

About: 25+ years caring for dogs of every breed and size, plus extensive experience with cats. I’ve helped deliver litters, given medications, and maintained spotless litter boxes. Cats trust me deeply — they often bring their kittens to my bed. I always take time to learn your pet’s routine, needs, and personality beforehand. I walk my own dogs three times daily and have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide consistent, loving care tailored to each animal. My schedule is very flexible for pet sitting. I drop my daughter off at school by 8:30–9:00 AM and pick her up at 3:25 PM. The rest of the day I work online only 2–3 hours, so I’m happily available for morning, midday, and afternoon dog walks, drop-ins, or house sitting. “Elise is the best! Super communicative, adheres to all instructions, and most importantly she’s a really kind human. Elise takes great care of our dog Reign, who gets so excited as soon as we pull up to her door! Elise has been flexible with our timing and easy to work with. We are thrilled to have found her in the Rover network!”

“Sofia has been wonderful with my shy guy dog with separation anxiety. Her adorable dog, Dona, has such great calming energy and seems to be a great friend and mentor for my dog. Sofia is great with updates and communication, and is a natural dog person. I’m so grateful to have found her!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, from guinea pigs and parakeets, to dogs and cats. I volunteered at the local humane society walking dogs and taking care of cats during high school. I’ve done a good amount of pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors through the years, and having also had to travel for work much of my adult life, appreciate being the pet parent entrusting my fur babies to someone else. I treat other peoples’ pets how I’d hope my pet sitters treat mine, and care for them as I do my own. I work from home during the week so would love to do daycare or overnight care for dogs that get along well with cats and other dogs, especially anxious shy guys. I have a cat and a little dog, who both love meeting new friends, although my dog can be territorial initially with new dogs in our home. For this reason we will need to meet any new dogs outside for a short walk beforeI having them come in with Xavi, to familiarize them so he doesn’t act territorial. He’s great with all dogs outside of our home, and great inside if introduced properly. He is more territorial with larger, very active dogs, so just offering daycare and boarding to smaller dogs at this time, unless it’s a dog he already knows. I have a covered patio and plenty of play space inside my apartment, and live in a very dog friendly and walkable area.
“Devan was awesome! Great communication and a natural at connecting with dogs and keeping them engaged. Benji did not want to leave! We hope to see Devan again!”

“Rio and his partner have been incredibly helpful with our dog Ernie. They have watched him three different times and Ernie is always excited to see them! Our dog has really bad separation anxiety and allergies and they done such a great job.”

“Dylan was very accommodating and took lots of cute photos and videos of June. He also took her to a nice area where she could play with another puppy. June didn’t want to leave because she was having so much fun”

“Kristen is great! She helped me out for doggy day care when I was in a bind and needed some last minute help. She was very attentive to my dog’s special quirks and provided updates throughout the day. I felt at ease leaving my pup with Kristen for the day. Highly recommend!”

“Ayesha was so great! She was happy to accommodate a few last minute changes in our schedule, and she took great care of our dog! He had a great time with her. We hope we can have her take care of our pup again!”

“My pup enjoyed an individualized doggie day care. He got to play and go for many walks in a 12 hour day, spoiled guy. Aspen was able to accommodate our schedules as well!”

“Ponyo was so wonderful with our boy, Tofu! She sent so many great updates about his activities , behavior, and demeanor. He was so happy during his stay. We would happily have Ponyo watch him again! Thank you for taking care of our baby!”

About: I've raised and trained 3 champion bloodline boxers from puppyhood through every life stage, so I'm very comfortable with high-energy dogs, giant personalities, structured routines, and the occasional stubborn streak. Today I split my time between consulting work and pet care. One unexpected benefit of leaving the traditional corporate tech grind is that I finally have the flexibility to spend more time doing something I've genuinely enjoyed for years—working with dogs. These days I provide structured walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding throughout Ballard. I also care for pets on another pet care platform, where I've worked with everything from energetic puppies and adolescent chaos agents to shy dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra time to build trust. After years of calendars, conference calls, forecasts, and executive meetings, I've discovered I much prefer helping a nervous dog gain confidence on a walk or convincing a puppy that the mystery object they found on the sidewalk is not, in fact, a snack. The dogs are usually easier to negotiate with. Through the canine grapevine, I've also learned that my official title is apparently "The Liver Treat PEZ Dispenser." I've also spent plenty of time on the owner side of pet care. Between work travel, conferences, and long weekends away, I've personally used kennels, daycare facilities, walkers, and sitters. A lot of what I do today comes from building the kind of reliable, communicative pet care experience I always wished I had available for my own dog. My boxer Mabel serves as the unofficial Director of Backyard Operations. Her duties include squirrel surveillance, neighborhood patrol, welcoming dog friends, and eventually collapsing somewhere dramatic after a hard day of absolutely nothing. I know trusting someone new with your pet can feel stressful. My goal is simple: provide calm, structured, reliable care with plenty of communication, photos, and updates along the way so you can feel confident your dog is safe, understood, and having a great time. Pet care fits pretty naturally into my daily routine. Dogs here get lots of attention, outdoor time, backyard breaks, play, naps, and relaxed company throughout the day instead of being left alone for long stretches. I’ve almost always had multiple dogs, so different personalities, energy levels, and routines feel pretty normal to me at this point. I do occasionally step out briefly for errands or appointments, so dogs staying here should be comfortable with short periods alone when needed (generally around 30 minutes to 1 hour max). Weekends around here are usually pretty relaxed — backyard time, toy play, projects around the house, and eventually everybody crashing somewhere around the dog suite afterward. I keep things calm, structured, and low-volume both in my home and when caring for pets in a client’s home. At home, I have a fully fenced backyard with direct outdoor access, high-drainage pet turf, and pavers to help keep things clean, safe, and low-mud. Dogs get supervised outdoor time, backyard play, potty breaks, naps, toy play, and their own clean crate setup for downtime when needed. I pay close attention to introductions, body language, energy levels, and overall group compatibility instead of just throwing dogs together and hoping for the best. I currently cap: - daycare at 3 dogs - boarding at 2 dogs For drop-ins and walks, I’m very respectful of people’s homes, routines, and instructions. I’m a homeowner myself, so I take trust, communication, home access, and safety very seriously. My overall approach is attentive, communicative, and low-chaos for both pets and owners.

About: My teens are available for cat and dog visits this summer. DOGS: We are experienced dog owners and understand the need for dogs to get their daily sniffs and walks. Previous dogs we've owned before they crossed the rainbow bridge: Bernese Mnt Dog and Malamute CATS: We have been a foster parents for over 5 years and have cared for more than 60 foster cats and kittens. We understand cat behavior, like when they're ready for pets and attention, and when they want to be left alone. Like humans, they need fresh water every day and want a clean bathroom (litter box) just like us. We have been volunteering with a variety of rescue groups for several years including Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue Group, The Whole Cat and Kaboodle, and many more. Parents have been Magnolia home owners for over 26 years; UDUB alum and a technology professional who works remotely, usually with my own cat on my lap. I'm sure you've heard the Rover horror stories of sitters backing out last minute with no recourse. You can rest assured a guaranteed booking with us. We can provide afternoon or evening feeding. We are not comfortable administering pills or needle injections. Daily litterbox cleaning and lots of pets and snuggles throughout the day. PET SAFETY: Using caution when entering the home is important to ensure cat(s) don't escape. We also ensure bedroom doors don't accidentally close that might block the cats' access to food or litter box. Happy to bring in mail and packages, too. HOME SECURITY: Packages, newspapers, and door flyers will be brought inside if we see them on your porch when we arrive. We always verify the door is securely locked after we exit.

“Eleanor was absolutely amazing with our pups while we were traveling internationally. She kept us at ease with consistent updates and lots of photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear they were in great hands the entire time. We’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Tracy is amazing! She is so attentive and caring. I felt so relived while I was away knowing my pup was in good hands. My girl had a blast with her. I 10/10 recommend!”

“Matt was a wonderful dogsitter for my pug Kimchi. He was very open and communicative during the entire process and even took extra time to practice some obedience exercises with my dog, something she can really struggle with. We highly recommend Matt for any dogsitting!”

“Mariel and Matthew are wonderful hosts. They always try to give our Dooboo lots of walks and sent great pictures. We're happy we could book the boarding with them. Dooboo loves staying with them!”

“Lily was awesome with our big German shepherd. She sent good updates and our Ruby came back happy as ever. Will definitely book for future visits. Thank you!”

“Eric and his family did an amazing job taking care of our fun-loving pup, Aster! Eric sent lots of beautiful photos and kept us up to date with how she was doing, always checked in with questions, and communicated very well with us when she was feeling sick one day of her visit. It was such a relief to know she was in such good hands during our two long weeks away.”

“Griz had such a great time with Lauren! She kept me updated with tons of photos and sweet moments of him hanging out with her and Griffin. I had a few schedule changes come up, and she was incredibly flexible with both drop‑off and pickup. I highly recommend booking with Lauren — I’ll definitely be returning. Truly a 5/5 experience!”
