“I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the care received and the flexibility! Dominique really went above and beyond. My kitty loved him! Highly recommend :)”

“Simon was responsive and followed all instructions. My little dude was happy to see her during each visit and she left great summaries of each visit. Would book again.”

“This was my first time working with Kelsey. She had great communications with me throughout the entire booking. She went above and beyond- moving my recycling bin because I forgot to put it away and even informed me that my mailbox had gotten damaged which she moved off the sidewalk. I will definitely be asking Kelsey to Take care of Will again in the future.”

“Ellen is a wonderful person and did such a great job taking care of our little boy, Charlie while we were away! She is very attentive and prepared; documenting the visit and informing us of his well-being and any other updates. She took care of him, made sure he was fed and had some play-time. Her flexible hours were a blessing as well! Thank you so much!”

“Jessica is a fantastic sitter. She came over and took her time to get to know our pets and meet us before her first time watching them. She’s very attentive and has asked all the right questions to make sure she’s giving the dogs the right care. Her visit went seamlessly and she provided a very detailed recap of it. So glad to have a great pet sitter in our neighborhood!”
“Madi was a pleasure to work with. I needed a last minute drop in sitter and she responded immediately after I sent my request. She came over for a meet and greet the day before to learn about my pup. I felt at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. Madi even took several photos and sent a long message describing all she did with my pup. Definitely recommend using Madi for your pet needs 🤗”

About: I have often fostered rescue pups through OTAT PDX, and have taken care of many friends' pets. Different breeds and personalities. They love romping in my yard, and I can also take reactive pups to Sniffspots if they can't do walks or a park. I love all animals and would love to hang out with your fur buddy. I am currently jobhunting after a recent layoff and home most of the time. Previously, I was a FT remote worker and hope to find a similar opportunity so I can stay home with dogs! I have a fenced yard and no other pets or humans in the home (it's just me!). My home is generally pretty quiet and chill. Love taking dogs out for exercise and enrichment multiple times a day as needed.
“Raphael took excellent care of Cherry while I was out of town and was very flexible with last minute requests. Thank you so much for keeping her comfortable and happy!”

“Jordan has been coming to walk and play with my puppy 1-2 times per week since early January. He is dependable, on time, and wonderful at communicating. He’s fabulous at working with an energetic puppy! Thank you, Jordan!”

“Maddy was absolutely wonderful. Was extremely attentive to the quarks and needs of our two senior cats. Gave them their daily medication and reassuring updates. We would use her services again in a heartbeat.”

“Scott is an incredible cat-sitter for my cat Stanley. He treats him as his own pet and always impresses me with his in-depth cat knowledge. On top of that Scott goes above and beyond to take care of my home while I’m away. I truly trust him to do a fantastic job making sure Stanley is loved while I’m out of town. Would wholeheartedly recommend Scott”

About: Hi, my name is Peggi. I have been caring for dogs for the past 20 years. They add so much joy and happiness to this world. You can count on me to be patient and loving with your pup while also respecting any boundaries that you have set so they feel safe and loved while they’re away from home. Dogs with anxiety and/or shyness have a special place in my heart. It makes me happy to make sure they feel safe and secure while you're away. In addition, I primarily work from home, so I’m here to play, interact and go for walks whenever I like. I have a large fenced yard as well as a front porch that is secured- there's also a daybed for the pups to lounge on while they people watch. All pups are welcome on my sofa and bed. I also have multiple dog beds throughout my home so everyone can find their favorite spot. I have 3 small terriers of my own - Milo. Dottie and CeCe are all super loving, senior pups. They all came from shelters/rescues and they love meeting and socializing with new friends. I look forward to meeting you and your pup. I am self-employed and work primarily from home so I’m readily available for whatever your pet needs. My schedule is flexible and I’m always willing to stop what I’m doing to disperse snuggles. My fully fenced yard is a safe and secure environment to hang out in and for play. The daybed on my front porch is large enough for all of us to pile onto. My home has plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. I’m always around to supervise all outdoor activities. Even if it’s just sunbathing 😄
“Matthew was amazing. He was so attentive to our doggo, diligently checking in and sending pictures of him for each visit. Matthew is super kind, and our boy seemed to have a great time during his visits. Would book Matthew again!”

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

Woodstock pet parents share their Rover experiences
Charlie is a wonderful cat whisperer and was so scrupulous with care of our two cats. He met our cats where they were and developed good relationships with them both (purring, petting, and playing!) over just a few days. He had a mountain of instructions to wade through with special diets and keeping the indoor and outdoor cats apart and managed it all gracefully. He sent photos and videos of each drop-in, which was so kind. He even cleaned up some cat vomit on our upholstery and took our our garbage cans! It was a delight to have him over. I'll admit I'm a neurotic cat mom and I have high standards for their care, and Charlie not only met but exceeded them.

This was our second time booking Tara and, once again, absolutely loved her! She was incredibly patient with our older kitty’s medication administration (he can be very finicky) and was willing to try a variety of methods to ensure he gets his pill while also keeping his comfort in mind. Whenever she had questions, she was quick to reach out and even hopped on several video calls with us when needed. Her frequent and detailed communication really helped ease our anxieties while being away from our boys for the holidays. I cannot recommend Tara enough for any of your petsitting needs!

Joss is so great with both my kitties! My shy girl warmed up to them quicker than any other sitter. Joss also takes the best pictures and videos, and always leaves detailed notes. It’s hard being away from my babies, but Joss’s care makes it sooo much easier.

Another great booking with Kristen, I had changed my kitties food so I was concerned how he would be but she kept me informed and it went so smoothly! Our lil man clearly loves when Kristen is sitting, from all the videos and pictures he is so well looked after! Just hoping Kristen is always available as I don’t know how I’d trust anyone else ❤️

Audrey was incredible! Right off the bat she had a great connection with my two cats (who are very tricky with new people) and instantly made me feel at ease. Throughout our long time away, she was consistently thoughtful, a thorough communicator and shared great updates from home. I will rebook in a heartbeat!
