Maleah can care for
Availability
I have a very flexible schedule so I can frequently take last-minute bookings. I make a great "on-call" pet sitter and dog walker. I travel regularly for work so I'm not the best choice for regular, long-term sitting needs. Do you have a pet that simply needs some human interaction and attention while you're away? Ask me about the "study at your house" special! I'm a graduate student who always has homework and I'm happy to spend extra time studying at your house to give you more bang for your buck :)

I know what it's like to love a furry companion so I will care for your cat like it's my own. I'm all about reading body language and interacting with cats in a way that makes them feel comfortable and loved. I always start slow and try not to violate a cat's boundaries. I understand that some cats take a long time to get used to a new human and require a gentle, patient caregiver. I'm also good at recognizing and meeting a cat's needs, whether that's the need to play, to snuggle, or to simply have a person near them. I like to learn about the personality, peculiarities, and regular patterns of behavior for an animal before I take care of them whenever possible.
Information Maleah N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors I should be aware of. When we have a first call or meet-up, I'll ask questions about what I can normally expect from your fur baby and what your goals are for the drop-in.
A typical day
That depends on the cat(s)! I've spent many years around cats and have an intellectual curiosity about them. Because of that, I'm usually very good at recognizing what a cat wants and what they don't. If your cat enjoys playing, I will learn the ways they like to play and play with them as long as they want. I'm an expert at bringing out a cat's predator instinct. I'll give your cat all the pets or snuggles they might want, but I also know to give them space if they don't respond positively to petting. I'm happy to open a window so your cat can spend time looking outside, hang out with them on a catio, fill treat puzzles, or do anything else to enrich their day. No two cats are the same - that's part of why I like them so much : )

Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs and cats on and off since I was 10 years old. These days I only accept catsitting bookings because I LOVE cats. They are such fun, weird little critters. I have experience caring for cats of all kinds, including: -Elder cats -Cats with medical conditions like hypothyroidism, diabetes, heart failure, and kidney failure -Newly rehomed cats that struggle to trust people -Cats on diets (boy do cats hate diets) -Blind and deaf cats -Cats with separation anxiety -Cats that hate their furry siblings I understand that every pet has different needs and it's my job to get to know that pet and meet those needs. I don't hesitate to ask questions and update you with any behavior that concerns me. As a graduate student taking classes from home, I also have a very flexible schedule. I can visit your fur baby whenever is most beneficial for them.
Reviews

Maleah is the best catsitter you could ever ask for. I used to have pretty intense anxiety about leaving my cat, as she's super emotionally needy and I would feel so guilty, especially as she got older and started having health complications & needing medication. Now, with Maleah's visits, both myself and my cat are totally 10000% at ease. Dottie is so calm and happy in the photos that Maleah sends me, in a way that she's never been before with any other catsitter. Maleah catches every little detail about Dottie's behavior, and is quick to message if there's any changes or potential concerns. I trust her wholeheartedly, and I know Dottie trusts her just as much! THANK YOU for everything, Maleah!

Maleah is very kind and sweet with my cat Khaleesi. I knew she was well taken care of when I was gone. Communication was easy and I loved the updates she sent me. I would highly recommend Maleah!
Maleah did a great job with our two elderly kitties. She was able to take the booking at the last minute.

Maleah is always my go-to petsitter. She communicates well and loves my fur babies as much as I do. A well trusted sitter!
